Yes, and that doesn't work,. It's a flaw with the game, and occurs with both AMD's switchable graphics and optimus on laptops with Nvidia graphics. The game just only sees the integrated card if dynamic switching enabled. People fixed it on earlier Envy's by setting the laptop to fixed mode in bios.

^There's the download links. You can try it out, but I'm not sure as I've yet to have a chance to try it out myself (my current laptop has a sweet pentium in it)

I haven't gott mine yet it left Alaska around 4 pm Alaska time. I emailed them this morning basicly saying thank you for crediting me back my forty dollars for shipping, and I understand delays, but what I don't like is customer service reps promising me packages at a cretin time that never come or callbacks from reps that never happen. At the end I was just like please make this right. Then later tonight I got a reply apologizing and a 100 dollar credit back on my card email. The email is [email protected]

As for my other question (Which i asked b4 but i dont think anyone answered): How much bloatware is there?? Is it worth doing minimal recovery or w.e and reinstalling all the drivers or would i be better off just uninstalling all the useless crap? If someone who has it already would chime in, I would be grateful -
-
Just throwing this out there:
I actually find the stock touchpad drivers to work flawless with this laptop, from movement to multi-touch. Everything feels to work natural to me, or for whatever I use it for, like 2 finger scrolling, 3 finger back or forward in the browser, zooming in or out, I have no comment on the clicker part of the pad as I don't use it as much since I like that tapping, it is a bit on the rough side but you could get used to it. Well this is my opinion on the touchpad, so I hope I helped on that.

Got my Envy 15 yesterday, but there's some dust behind the screen. I attempted to remove it (unsnapping the protective plastic cover), and just like my Envy 14, ended up with more dust, just in different places. I'm going to call and complain and see what they can do.
I also installed a bluray drive in it late last night, but haven't had a chance to test it out (I will tonight). There sure is a lot to remove to get to the optical drive. The design is completely backwards from all other laptops I have disassembled in the past. -

^lol
My envy is on a FedEx truck coming to it's new home!! Pumped!! -
Just got mine opened it up and top right of screen was unsnapped snapped it back on , doesn't seem to be any dust though

Man I am on my way to work... only 7 over her in Seattle. I guess I will have to wait until 5 to check out my new machine...

And on the topic of tribes, anybody have advice for good first class to unlock? I've been playing a lot of soldier, but I have yet to try out pathfinder, but I expect I will like the increased mobility.
And PaKii, there really is not too much bloatware. I'd recommend you just wait till you boot it up, then take a look at all the programs installed and then decided how you want to deal with the bloatware.
Personally, I would not recommend doing a full reinstall of Windows, but that is just because I screwed up and wasn't able to reinstall drivers, and I had to make use of the recovery discs I had just made.
[EDIT]=- It was on high. I'm going to try very high right now.
[EDIT2]=- It seems to run smoothly on very high on the training map at least. I don't have time to try a full match right now though. -
Mine left Oakland ca, I too have to wait till 5-6 due to work

My pc just arrived, hooooray
Still setting it up and getting everything organized. I'll write a proper thing later on but these are my first impressions
- My screen was slightly popping out, I remember reading about this on the forum. This can be easily be solved by just putting some pressure and it just clicks in
- Track pad is great, I don't understand why people seem to be having issues with it. Feels pretty much the same as my girlfriends old white macbook's trackpad.
- Keyboard is really nice to type on, this is the first thing I've been typing (this post) and it really just feels great, keys feel a bit shorter then usual because I'm used to my blackwidow at home. I cant notice any flex from general typing, it feels quite solid and resistant. I'm sure if I try and shove the body down as hard as I can there will be some flex, but seriously why would you do that other than purposely trying to cause flex. Backlighting has quite a nice touch and I cant imagine the sensors being that annoying except for maybe at night
- Screen looks fantastic, seriously everything looks so crisp! Reds are fine on my screen and the whole pastel blue thing isn't really existant on mine. It might be present but until I went to write this post I hadn't even thought about it
- Fan whirls along pretty quietly, it's a bit audible on idle but as soon as something else is happening in the room it's pretty much impossible to notice. Havn't installed any games yet so cant comment on game performance or fan noise during games
So in general, very happy with the PC. Just have to set everything up now -
Oh I just checked the blues against my iPhone,
Facebook blue banner appears the exact same colour on both screens, so obviously I have no colour errors, wooooot -
Happy Friday Folks,
Ive been lurking here since about page52. I want to thank the long timers , for enlightening me first to the coupon (final price with that, was even cheaper than the employee price) and 2nd for filling me in on what I should check out upon receipt of my cool new machine. I cant wait to do a little minor surgery on it and install the Samsung 830 256 GB SSD and the 8 GB of RAM Ive been sitting on. Its been a rough week of waiting but I think it finally made it on the local truck and is out for delivery. I wasnt sure it would make it by the weekend. There was some concern that my Envy had fallen in with an unsavory Laptop crowd (something about drinking Tequila with other laptops at the Shanghai airport for 3 days??)Hope everyone gets their machines today, especially the Chicago people.I guess the thing to maybe take away from this is; try not to be in a hurry to grab the first production units off the line because of QC issues. And a machine can go half way round the world in 24 hours without having to pay for 2 day shipping.
Cheers, may your Reds be red and your Blues blue

Benchmark results for teh 7750M posted on the 3DMark website. I'm not really familiar with all the numbers but why does it say the clock speed was posted @ 300 Mhz when specs indicate 575Mhz? http://3dmark.com/3dm11/3658892

-Ya, trackpad is great.
-Keyboard is actually nice, I've read reviews saying it's not that responsive sometimes (3xxx review), but the keyboard seems perfect to me.
-Screen is amazing, tho I have to get used to these beautiful colors, because I played league of legends on my old laptop and compared to that the colors really wowed me.
-Fan is perfect to me, I've heard it a few times, but I never notice it at all. It keeps the system cool and even when I was playing a few games, it stays on the cool side, just becomes warm not too bad.

I'm just excited to get this notebook! purchased Jun 15th says it will be shipping approx Jun 27th, I hope I don't run into same issues you guys did -
Crysis 2 Benches:
1. Preset - Very High (Avg. 33 fps)
2. Preset - High (b. 46 fps)
Unfortunately I haven't been able to get past the opening cinematic of Skyrim because my fps drops ridiculously about 3 minutes into it. Has anyone encountered this problem before? I'll just be playing a game fine and suddenly the audio will freeze up and my frames per second will drop to like 2. Is this a switchable graphics issue or something else? -
its here full review soon
