One last driver question - I've gotten a blue screen a couple of times since installing the WHQL drivers. If I decide I want to revert back to the HP drivers, what's the best way to do that?

    Hi guys! :D
During the test of overclock i was using the driver Leshcat’s Catalyst 13.4 but the notebook keep crashing so i've come back to the official Catalyst 13.1 and i had some surprising result (at least for me :D )

(Note: every time before the test i use Gamebooster 3 by IObit)

Standard Clock -- P1587 (82°-85°) (driver UnifL 13.4 unstable) (turboboost off)
    -- P1634 (Hell°) (driver Catalyst 13-1) (turboboost on)
    -- P1627 (82°-85°) (dricer Catalyst 13-1) (turboboost off)

    Overclock Core:850 Memory:950 -- P 1835 (85°) (driver UnifL 13.4 unstable) (turboboost off)
    Overclock Core:840 Memory:1000 -- P1837 (85°-90°) (driver UnifL 13.4 unstable) (turboboost off)

    Overclock Core:840 Memory:940 -- P1860 (85°) (driver Catalyst 13-1) (turboboost off)
    Overclock Core:850 Memory:1000 -- P1896 (85°-92°) (driver Catalyst 13-1) (turboboost off)

(Maybe i don't have installed the Leshcat’s driver correctly anyway i'll keep the 13.1 for now)

Has anyone here tried the 6770m on Win 8.1 with the MS drivers? These should be between 13.6.2 and 13.8.x.

If someone has tried this and it works could you drop me the inf files please.

Mine would happen when I tried to switch from Intel to AMD graphics or the other way around. I've reverted back to the stock graphics drivers, but would still like to use the newer ones if anyone knows what to do about the BSOD when switching....

Yes. My BSOD is 0x1000007e (igdpmd64.sys) and it happens during the Windows 7 startup or if I try to switch from Intel to AMD.

It happens with every driver since 13.4 (not before).

Try the latest Leshcat driver with the Legacy intel driver option. That worked me fine when I had the HP

I tried the Leshcat's Legacy driver & the AMD 13.10 beta but BSOD is present.

I think there's something wrong since 13.4 release: from that driver I get BSOD with every further version

Folks, I have another question. I wanted to experiment with Dynamic switching since some have reported better driver stability with that option, but I don't see that option in my BIOS anymore. I remember seeing it a long time ago, but I don't remember when that was or what BIOS or drivers I had installed. I'm currently on BIOS F.1B, which is the latest version HP lists for my laptop (HP Pavilion dv6t-6000 CTO Quad Edition Entertainment Notebook PC, Product Number: XW898AV).

Should I have the Dynamic/Fixed option in my BIOS? Do I need to revert to an older BIOS version in order to get it? (Is it even worth it.....?)

No way. Switchable mode + Leshcat gives the best performance. I could oc my card to 5870m levels. With dynamic, it crashed everytime I tried.

Some people are reporting here that dynamic is the only way they can get the newer drivers to run without issues with BSOD, brightness, etc...

Whether that is true or not, can you help me with my BIOS dynamic/fixed question? What BIOS version do you have and do you have the option of switching between dynamic and fixed?

I don't have the machine anymore, but I used it with the BIOS before the F.1A update. If I remember correctly that was F.19? (the 2012 jun. update) I could set it in bios, and worked really well. Some BSOD issues because of the Intel driver incompatibility with the 13.8 Leshcat release, but not much. Legacy Intel driver solved the problem. But usually I used the AMD card only and overclocked.

edit.: bought with Windows 7 64bit, upgraded to Windows 8 64bit on day one.

I think you must have the option in your bios. I want to ask something similar. My brother give me this laptop few day ago and I have seen that I have the F.1B version (and I have the option of switching graphic mode). I have been looking on internet and it is a newer version, but in the first post recommends to update to F.1A. Which is better?... or it doesn't matter?

    FunkyMike here (UnifL)

I believe the dynamic switching option was turned off by mistake in the newest BIOS update on some HPs from the reports I have been reading. You have a few options:

Install old BIOS to regain option
Check Donovan6000 for a bios mod that unlock extra settings

    Regarding dynamic vs fixed switching:
Windows 8.1 and AMD don't officially support fixed switching anymore even if the functionality still exists. This is partly understandable with the whole mess created by AMD using Intel registry keys for brightness control (ie brightness control is easier on dynamic)

Hi everyone! For the first time i'm trying to OC my HD 6770M. I've had the notebook for about 2.5 years.
Hope you can guide me in order not to blow it.

    My specs:
    HP dv6t-6b00
    CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2670QM CPU @ 2.20GHz
    GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6770M
Driver: Catalyst 14.4 (Leshcat, FIXED MODE)

I installed MSI Afterburner. Currently overclocked at 850/900 Mhz. Notice improvement in games like FIFA 14 and others.

Run 3DMark 11 before OC and it gave P1796.
    After OC it gave P2050.
But the GPU temp reached 99°C (3DMark). (I'm not using a cooler pad now, will try it with one at home).
Is this normal without a cooler?
    Anyone using similar settings?
I would appreciate the help. Just want to get a little more out of my GPU.

    Greetings!
