Yeah, mine still says 5-7 day shipping (what I originally chose), but maybe they didn't update the system to indicate that we would all get 2 day shipping? Wishful thinking...

I'm close to buying the Envy14 but I have a problem. I was planning to buy the Envy14 using my credit card and have it shipped to my parent's address in the US. By the way, I live outside the US although my dad is coming over here next month. The problem is when I checkout my shopping cart, there's no option for Billing Address outside US. Anyone know what should I do? I can't use my parent's credit card as they are all maxed out. =D

 

Woooooooooo! My envy shipped! It wasn't suppose to ship until the 13th but I just got the shipped email from HP. A solid day ahead of schedule is great. I was afraid it would be delayed

 

With 2 day shipping I'm guessing at the latest Wednesday.

 

Mine shipped 3 days before your guys' did, but since they got delayed and you might get the 2 days shipping, you could end up getting yours days before me. Haha congrats. XP

I'll be ordering an Envy 14 soon, probably next week. Just gotta get together the rest of the cash. Hopefully it'll get here before mid-way through August, as I'll be moving then, and it would be a hassle to drive back to where I am to get it.

 

If you qualify, how about Bill Me Later? You could use your parents' address as the billing address. Since you'd be making your payments to BML online (via your bank account, not your credit card), it doesn't make a whole lot of difference if your billing address isn't your current physical address. They have no scheduled payments for 6 mos. right now, and if you can pay it off entirely within 6 mos., there's no interest. After that, though, the APR skyrockets to 19.99%, and interest is accrued from the actual date of purchase. If you can pay it off within 6 mos., Bill Me Later might be a good option for you.

 

I almost pulled the trigger on the dm4t because of the $400 off coupon. I'm back to happily waiting for a good deal on the envy 14 though

Right now the student discount is %10 off. Is it likely for that to change? I mean will they suddenly stop giving student discount on a certain laptop? I'll wait until the first week of September for a good deal. That's the latest I can go without a decent laptop.

 

Lol I live outside of US..So I faked this Collage for the 10% discount..then ill make this company ,that lets you have your US address and buys stuff for you,use my email and ship it to me.
God this is so messed up.

Got my tracking number this morning too. I originally chose 2 day as I was wanting the laptop for overnighter this past weekend. Ah well... heehee. Guess it's "fingers crossed" time for us now.

 

As far as I know the student discount always stays the same. Maybe they have a sale every now and then but I've never seen one.

Mine shipped this morning too. Looks like the shipping was upgraded. I did the 5-7 shipping, but when I just tracked the package, it says its due for delivery on the 15th. That would be the 1 day for customs, and 2 day shipping.

ok that makes me feel a little better but still 3 days after mine was supposed to ship and still no email, and with no delay email i cant call hp to complain because they just tell me its a delay in shipping update or its going through customs.

Ordered mine on July 2nd and have FedEx tracking showing delivery on July 14th. The original build date showed July 14th with 2 day delivery. Fingers crossed!

 

Guys.....my Envy is now shipped, ONE day earlier than estimated! WOOOOT!! It is estimated to arrive on July 15, 4:30pm =D

 

Just an FYI. Anyone ordering a laptop over the value of $2500, they will likely get is faster due to the different paperwork required. As such, the shipments are smaller and more granular than the under $2500 ones. So, there is no preference for the expensive ones that some were suspecting so much as there is a necessity of paperwork that, in this case, sped things along. And, that value is not necessarily based invoice price but MSRP.

I have one unit shipped - ordered June 27 with estimated build date of July 7 and one that has not yet shipped - ordered on June 29 with estimated build date of July 9. No email about any status on the latter whether delayed or shipped.

 

That's Thursday. 2 day shipping takes 3.5 days? Oh well...

This is very interesting. I ordered on the 5th with an estimated build date of July 15th (stock except for i5 450m and 1 DIMM RAM). This morning I got a email that said my laptop is shipped! I checked on Fedex website and they got the notification and had a delivery date of the 15th. But I just checked again (10 minutes later) and it said that the package was dropped off at Fedex afterhours, so the delivery date will be delayed to the 16th by 4:30pm. This is awesome if it's true, I just hope they don't delay it anymore.

 

lol ordered on the 27th, shipped out today with an estimated delivery of the 16th, this friday. 4 days is still quicker than 5-7 day shipping, so I'm happy.

Well i ordered on the 29th and had an estimated build date of 7/9. I have got no email or anything regarding a delay or shipment. Just called HP to see what is going on and they said that my order was not one of the orders that was delayed. They said that it shipped on the 9th (they have no way of knowing he is just saying that it probably did) but its just a delay in the notification of the shipment, which makes no sense becuase lots of other people have got shipping information already sent to them who have ordered 1 week later than me.

Is there anybody else who ordered on the 29th and got a shipping notification or even a delayed email?

I ordered on launch day and a couple of days ago I got the delay e-mail, and it's not shipping untill the 22nd. That seems like a huge delay compared to others. :c(

Sad thing is I already paid for expedited shipping (I'm going on a two week trip starting this weekend and was hoping to bring this laptop). Since it isn't going to be here in time I'm probably going to cancel. I can wait to get it for a few more months if it isn't going to be in time for this trip.

What are the odds that my obscenely long delay will be shorter given that everyone else seems to have much less crazy delays?

How come some people are expecting it to receive it on the 15th, when mine says 16th?!

 

I ordered mine July 4th and I got an email saying its shipping out today! This is 3 days earlier than it said initially. The crazy thing is I got the 500GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive. Isnt that the thing that was delaying some of the early orders here or was it the stock?

 

My date just moved back a day to the 16 too. Now estimated delivery the 16th

If i were you i would be pissed, you should call HP and demand $50 for 2 day shipping and try to get $100 more because it says on the delay email no more than 10 business days and yours is way more than that. I would milk it for what you can and if they decline then cancel.

Ordered on the 3rd and the est build and ship dates since then have been the 14th. No delay email yet and also no early shipment notifications. HP must hate communicating with me...

 

The date FedEx gives is usually a worst case scenario. The 3 laptops I have ordered from HP in the past couple of months all arrived 2-4 days before the EDD listed on the FedEX tracking page.

 

I just received an update from FedEx saying the same thing about Package received after FedEx cutoff and they pushed me back a day... just like everyone had suggested would happen. lol.
