HAHA. Now I fail.

It is now the 8th... ordered day of, still "in production"

What appears to be one image on the web can be, like, 5 images...think comic book frames without the spaces between. If you hit the prntscrn button, paste it into paint, save that image, and upload it to imageshack we can see the whole thing (just be sure to crop out any personally identifying stuff like facebook friends messaging you or w/e

Uh-Oh. Ive geeked out way too much for even this forum to handle.
-
why is the upgrade for the SSD 160GB on the Envy 13 only $200 and the for the Envy 14 its $315, and the Envy 13 has a worse base HDD at 250GB 5400 rpm.
-
I think they're trying to get rid of the current stock of Envy 13, I noticed it wasn't listed on the Beats audio page while the 14,15, and 17 were, so they may be phasing it out.
-
What's the number to call and complain/try to get money off? I'm going to tell them they:
1. Lowered the CPU price and have to give me credit.
2. Attempt to "price match" to Amazon or CDW.
3. Tell them I'm leaving home on Tuesday and I expected the laptop to be delivered by then, and because of this I want to cancel my order.
And I'll repeat this until I get a free slice or 150 off. I hate to be a bad customer but they really are failing me right now. -
Without off topic we will never get there. Never.
Oh, wait... -
hp home and home office sales center: 1-888-917-8089
-
What about that number?
Do you know something we don't? O_O -
somebody however could use that $115 difference in the SSD prices to get some credit back because it does not specify that they are different generation SSD and i doubt the sales rep would know that either
-
oh no somebody was asking what the number was to call hp about the price match
-
*writes name on piece of paper and drops in into Friday's random ban bowl...
Any HP number will do really. Dial the wrong one and they will transfer you. -
Re: credit for processor price drop...
Are you guys getting credited right away?
The rep I spoke with said it won't go through until it ships... normal? -
Ok thanks. Do you know how much they will charge in customs for that? Btw, that's cheap shipping, I thought it was $80 or something.
Please update us on how things work out. If you and others who ordered from Canada from that ebay person works out, I might just have to bite the bullet even though I prefer to stay away from ebay. -
yes that normal, usually 3-5 days after the product ships
-
depends on your area. i believe its around 10-25%
-
About to pull the trigger on one of these bad boys but I'm kinda worried that there's no reviews yet. Also not happy about no i7 620M option. My biggest concern is cooling, as that was an issue with the previous envies. Any word on this? Also, how's the build quality?
Anyway, with BCB and student discount I'm getting a decent deal...is there anything I should know before I jump on it? -
MagusDraco Biiiiiiirrrrdmaaaaaaan
BCB doesn't work with any other discounts (it'll get canceled 'bout 20-40 days into the 60 day waiting period).
Also Erasthones gets around 40 C for the processors when he uses his envy14 for you know..web browsing, or word processing or whatever.
They reach 73-74 C if he's using wPrime to benchmark the processor. -
That HP number has the most epic hold music...
Anyways my discoveries from my phone call are as follows:
1. She told me that you aren't provided a tracking number right when it ships, so they may be already shipping out (which is BS, see below)
2. I told her how upset I was about the delay and the price drop as well as price comparing, and she said "We only do price matches online" so I informed her Amazon.com is a website
3. I told her I had to pay 126 in tax and that with Amazon it was no tax, so she put me on hold for 5 minutes, then came back and offered me 126 in credit + 25 for the price drop in the CPU. I asked her if I could have the slice instead but she said no so I just took the 151. I'm amazed at that since my specs vs the Amazon are completely different, but she obviously didn't check.
One important thing is after she gave me the credit she said the laptop is "delayed" and supposedly HP will be sending out mass emails within 24 hours about this. She could have said this to get me off the phone but I wouldn't be surprised if this was true. To be honest one of the reasons I made sure to order day one is so that when it WAS delayed I could ask for $$ off, and the fact that I'm getting the i5 450m, 160GB SSD, 4gb 1 Dimm for about 1350 shipped makes me plenty fine with waiting.
I highly, strongly, emphatically suggest that ANYONE who has purchased one call 1 888 917 8098 and give them a piece of your mind, you're bound to get something back. -
I would order through hp becuase with the amazon you will get a lower resolution screen and you pay the premium price of $1200, also you can call hp and and complain about things like CDW.com offering a better deal with an i5 450m processor and and get $50 back and that and the bing will offset the tax plus you use your cc so you get the extended warranty. you will also prob get it the soonest going this route and have the 21 day return policy. but as another suggestion you could just buy from cdw which offers the same configuration as amazon but $30 cheaper and you can buy really good warranty's for really cheap from them

I'm delayed to the 12th. (I ordered on the 7th too, but well I did order late on the 7th) -
wait... why is my ship date July 12th and some of yours July 9th, I ordered mine the hour it was released too. Did you get 2nd day shipping?
-
Seriously, do you people have no lives? I got the email on my iphone, immediately copied it, posted it, and somehow I was beaten by 3 other people?
-
as soon as they get a word from HP they go crazy
-
I got the same message with the same date. grrr.
-
My gmail updates faster than your iphone
-
Hmmm.... this is concerning. Seems like manufactures are underestimating the market despite these economically challeneged times.
-
I got mine on my evo, your iphone could be the prob.
-
MagusDraco Biiiiiiirrrrdmaaaaaaan
yeah. man. I'm gonna have to go looking for discounts tomorrow because of this delay.
-
LOL. Well, in my defense, I'm working off a criminal charge. This is the community service portion of my sentence.

Guess I was holding it wrong...

Can we order from Costco? I can get the 10% Student, and 5% cash back on the business amex! Oh, and an extended warranty!
Link if there is one, b/c i have the worst of Search-engine luck. -
tornbacchus GO leafs.. Wait, Nevermid
I am happy that they admit there will be a delay, unlike when apple rushed out all of their iphone 4's, and look at all of the problems that are happening.
It is better to wait then for them to rush out the laptops with problems (cough...apple...cough) -
