If HP gives you a credit back off the price of the laptop, will your tax decrease as well? Or is the credit just taking off whatever you're paying after tax?

 

Usually being added to the "list" is not something you want to do. ^_^

I'm still in Anchorage, AK...no delays yet. It's supposed to be here tomorrow...I can't see that happening...

Just looked up clearance delays. Seems like some Mac users got it when ordering their products. It shipped to their house without even changing status. We can only hope and stay optimistic.

Exactly; I'm not giving up hope yet. I've heard of many instances where Fedex (or even UPS)'s tracking system was extremely far behind and packages were delivered without any indication they were coming.

I called Fedex's tracking number and that system told me that the package was on its way to my local distribution center in Columbus, Ohio...so who knows where these things REALLY are.

Looking at the history of BCB which appeared usually in the first half of the month, I doubt we'll see anymore 30% BCB for HP

I believe you get the credit when the laptop ships from the factory. That's when I got mine.

 

Will be canceling.

 

I imagine you'll just be returned the total cost less the credit.

I'm in the same boat with you. In Anchorage, no delays showing. And Fedex keeps assuring me over the phone that my notebook will be put on a plane tonight, and will show up at my office no later than 4:30pm tomorrow.

We'll see........

Edit: Although the automated system says that my system is already in transit to my local fedex facility. Go figure.....

Mine's stuck in clearance delay too. Was delayed 2 days past original estimated ship date. When it finally shipped it popped over to Alaska and it's stuck there now. ETA is still Friday and I need it Friday since I'm leaving the country on Sunday and really want to take the new computer with me. C'mon HP and FedEx, pull through for me!

 

Hm. Somewhat good news yet very very bad news. We'll start with the bad news first. I called that number from that yahoo answer and the kind lady on the other side said that she still seems no invoice from HP. I asked her if my delivery was still on track for tomorrow and she said it's highly doubtful that it will clear customs and be delivered on time. The earliest I should be expecting is Monday.

The good news is, we know it isn't Fedex's fault. the lady was very adamant in blaming the manufacturer for not providing the invoice to clear customs. Needless to say, HP will be receiving a call from me at 5:00 PM tomorrow.

 

Boy!! That sucks a fat one, doesn't it!!!

Why are you cancelling it? What about it are you displeased with it?

As for a fair and safe manner, if someone PM's you about it, you can always sell it to them on EBay. Just have them pay for the Ebay fees and shipping. I'm pretty sure someone (perhaps international) out there will be saving a pretty penny even after ebay fees and shipping

 

I'm on hold, rep told me they are refunding the 50 I paid for 2 day shipping. My estimated ship date of today was removed from the tracking info an hour or so ago. Hopefully it clears customs soon... whew. As long as I'm refunded for the shipping I'm ok....would have rather had the laptop though as someone else mentioned.

Guess I'll at least have my Garmin 450t to play with this weekend.

 

I asked live assistance to remove the EPP for me but she could not do anything. I see some others got theirs changed though...

I called them about 45 minutes ago and they said it's still delayed. Possibly till monday.

 

I was told that the credit will be showed on my credit card 4-5 days after the item ships. They did charged my credit card already and I didn't see any refunds being made (I got 10% off) plus BCB.

Well, the $200 credit I received was actually issued after my notebook had already shipped, which is probably why I received it so quickly.

The other two credits i was issued (which were issued prior to the shipment), I did receive within three days of my unit actually shipping.
