For everyone in Delay status call the supervisor resolutions line to complain 888-227-8451. You'll get through immediately and they will be able to address the customs delay. I was told that they are working with Fedex to get all the order pushed through customs. There are about 95 orders which are stuck in Delay status right now because of the paperwork issues. I was also refunded my 2 day shipping charge.

 

Still in Alaska. I guess whoever said that ours was in clearance delay but doesn't show since our estimate delivery date is the 20th is probably right.

I agree with MrD1sturbed. The squeaky wheel gets the grease. Plus they will get tired of refunding everyone's 2-day shipping costs...

So curious... how fast is the "In production stage"?

I went through the payment and "drop of at factory" stages really quickly.

Does in production mean the laptop is actually being built right now?

...Cause the guy from HP says the laptop is shipped the same day it is built...

 

Wow. I don't think I could do that every year. I'd personally get tired of researching/buying constantly.

 

Are all credit they make (regardless its for not canceling or anything) wont have any issue with BCB?

 

I wouldn't know, don't have it yet, but for the price as long as it performs like it should I don't see what's not to be pleased with it. If the 30% BCB was active ~2 weeks ago I probably wouldn't have bought the Sony Z as long as the Envy 14 doesn't get stuck at 1.2ghz on battery like my Envy 15 was. I'm extremely pleased with the Z, even though it was 2x the price (before I get $300 back from Sony's trade rebate).

 

im guessing that means its being built or is about to be built. i think the hp guy meant it is shipped the same it is finished being built. then again maybe it only takes them a day to build it.

 

I don't know for sure, but it seems like as long as a coupon was not applied and it was a credit issued by them after your order (for shipping delay, to prevent cancelling anything else people gripe about), BCB would not be affected.

I emailed them because I wanted to have it it writing, especially with BCB ending the end of this month and any problems would have to be dealt with through HP directly.

 

What they mean by "the laptop is shipped the same day it is built", is that it is shipped the same day that it is FINISHED being built. In other words, when they can say "it's built!"

Edit: I'm just getting slow in my old age. LOL =)

 

i ordered on sunday 7/11 and it got to the in production stage by tuesday morning. my order status still says in production.. and its 7/15

when i talked to the rep on the phone i asked her the same thing.. and she said the EBB (mine is 7/21) was only for worst case scenarios and it usually isn't in production for 10 days..

so here hoping itll at least ship by sat! 7/17!

 

Man, if mine is delayed until Monday, I'm not even going to get to use it until I get back in the country on Friday. Argh.

 

Bad news folks. I just contact Fedex international who is actually still in possession of the delayed Envy 14's. They advised me that even if HP delivers the correct documents to them and they are able to push the laptops through customs, if this isn't completed by 3:30pm local time (about 3 hours from now) then they won't make the planes needed to depart to get them to their local distro for delivery tomorrow, in which case we won't get them till Monday.

 

If anybody wants to buy my Envy 14 that im receiving on the 20th, message me. Its base with 450m, 4gb ram 1 DIMM and 4 year lojack. I will sell it for $1250 and will ship international if you have a safe way to do the transaction.

 

Mine was stuck in Memphis. Didn't clear until 12 am the morning of the delivery date. But it got here just fine.

Ugh.. so much bloatware. Taking me forever to get rid of it. Tempted to just do a clean install.

 

So, I wonder..... does this apply to ALL Envy's currently in Anchorage, or only the ones who show as delayed? Because mine shows no delay, and says its still on time for delivery tomorrow. Plus, this syncs up with what Fedex told me over the phone this morning.

Does anyone know for sure, or have an opinion on this?

 

Do you accept BCB with that?

 

My laptop was at the clearance delay status and is now back to in transit! hurray!

Does your FedEx tracking info say that is delayed, or are you just assuming? Has anyone's arrival date changed?

 

Kind of sucks that my Envy is in the same shipment as those receiving it tomorrow, yet mine isn't scheduled to get to me until the 20th.

Oops, I spoke too soon. Mine just changed, and now says "in transit" and "package available for clearance".

So, I guess they were telling the truth all along... It's gonna make that flight tonight after all.

I ordered standard shipping (5-7 day it was, I believe), but was supposedly upgraded to 2 day priority shipping, due to the hard drive parts delays.

I wonder if "2 day priority" means, once it has cleared customs or something?

 

Not to burst your bubble, but Bing 30% has appeared twice within the past week. If you're not in a hurry, I'd wait until the end of the month.

I couldn't get the $25 off coupon to work, but I did just receive an e-mail from Fatwallet that my cash back went through. It's not the 'almighty' Bing rate of 30%, but I'll take 3%. Bing would've been great, but I've missed it each time, and I'm up against a time constraint. If you use Fatwallet, READ all the specifics. Each store has it's own rules on top of Fatwallet's. It isn't complicated, but there are differences.

Yeah. Or you could call up HP and try to get them to match the BCB..tell them that you could have ordered a few days ago but decided to wait. They give $$ away for every other reason imaginable.
