*Quasi-Official ENVY 14 discounts, delays, "mine is shipping" lounge*

Looks like the two-day shipping might have something to do with the way your notebook ditched the rest of ours back in CHina.

 

I don't know about that though... He paid an extra $40 to get it one day ahead of us. Is it really worth it though?

 

Seems there's a 1 or 2 day delay in shipping so those who ordered on the 13th, like me, will probably have theirs ship... monday?

 

Dunno. I was just making an observation. His rationale, not mine. I chose standard shipping knowing I'd have the choice of asking a family member ship it over to me in the worst case scenario and getting compensation from HP.

 

Now i'm really curious as to how the hell i got delayed when i ordered on the 12th and yours is being shipped early...

 

That is really odd.. What are your specs?
It seems like everyone who's got there's shipped live in California or west coast.

Im not sure who/what to believe.. the fedex guy I called or the tracking number I just got which says "Jul 22, 2010 11:31 PM Picked up SHANGHAI CN delivery date of Jul 28, 2010 by 4:30 PM" as the latest history. Well see

 

I would believe fedex over hp any day...

I don't know why mine shipped out so fast. I got pretty much the base model. Only thing extra was the 500 gig HD (isn't standard 320?), and if so, that was on accident because I forgot to switch it back after messing around with the customization.

I'm in Colorado, btw.

I'm in Michigan and someone else stated they're from Chicago and getting theirs Wednesday as well.

 

Got my notification from HP this morning that mine has shipped.

Ordered on the 12th, got the notification that it was picked up at 11:31 PM in Shanghai but missed the plane like most of you. Delivery by 4:30 on the 28th (will be out of town).

Specs: i5 450m, 4gb 2 dim, 500gb

This thread is painful to read knowing I missed the ship date by one day.

I must pray to the notebook gods in hopes of mine shipping Monday.

 

Mine was picked up from Shanghai, CN 7/22, scheduled 7/28. Woot!

 

I placed the order on 12th, but there was a problem in the order. After talking to sales people, i got the order confirmation email on 14th. But still my build date was July 22nd.

Since i live in India, i will be getting my laptop in hands only on aug 7.

 

Yours was scheduled to ship 8/2 right? I don't know why you'd expect it to ship with the 7/22 or 7/23 crowd, that's a week difference.

 

Someone ordered one day before I did and had a ship date of 7/30, I ordered the next day and got 8/2.

I just missed the bus (or plane), I guess you could say. I'm guessing mine will come in the next batch.

Sounds like they must ship once or twice a week then. Yeah, you missed the cutoff. That sucks.

To be honest, it sounds like paying for two day is a sham. I took free shipping becuase I'm not in a huge hurry to get it, but someone that paid 2-day will probably get theirs one day earlier than us at best.

 

I don't even game all that much as I used to, but I'm dying to get my Envy 14 and throw some games on it to see if the 5650 is up to snuff.

Oh, and looking at this 14.5" 1366x768 screen and thinking it looks pretty good... I can only imagine what the Envy 14's screen will look like.

Not sure about the slice but I ordered a second battery and mine has shipped without delay. I ordered around 4pm on 7/12 with 30% BCB.

Ordered on 7/13, estimated ship date 7/23, actual ship date 7/22, ETA at my home 7/28 (US-EST)....

 

I'm on the east coast, mine shipped.

Alrighty getting on the 28th. Loled at all the people who thought the HP service people were lying to them about their laptop getting shipped

 

Mine shipped last night at 11:31 tooooooooooooooooooo.
It took me posting on here in anger for them to ship it. The only thing is I selected two day shipping because with the info they gave me it would have been here yesterday. Now my delivery date is 5 day shipping. Should I call?

 

Heads up to those of us very impatiantly waiting for some sort of deal to pop up on the envy, Ive been talking w/ one of the reps at HP who has advised there are no planned promotions for the envy 14, or even other envys, and even worse, no bing blowout is planned...... Hopefully someone changes there mind or I was misinformed, but he sounded pretty sure of his information.

I laughed at them and rightfully so. They flat out lied to me several times saying how my laptop was already built, ready to go and some even said it has already shipped. Then right after this I get an email saying the production has been delayed until tuesday...So this goes to show they really were just saying that crap and not basing it on anything.

They probably shipped by geographical location. I'm in around Massachusetts so shipping monday would alott the same wednesday 28th delivery time. While most everyone else is in California so shipping friday would be reasonable for you guys.

 

So annoying all these people who ordered after me having their laptop ship out while my order is just pushed off to the side. Going to give HP a mouthful over this.

 

Just notice the date is was supposed to ship (ordered this thing at 12:01 the day it came out and paid for it by 12:06, no joke.)

It was delayed from the 7th to the 12th. (Got 25 dollar coupon for that delay). Delayed from the 12th to the 23rd. (Got 10% back for that). And now it still hasnt shipped and its the 24th.

 

When did you order yours?

I suggest you remove the tracking code and order number. You'll never know
