    I'm guessing from the number of people whose laptops are taking the Anchorage-->Memphis-->California(Name?) that most if not all those notebooks left on separate will "reunite" in a sense to maximize cargo usage?

    I just went through the HP home page, contact us link and chose "send an email to a CSR". I then just asked if my pending $113 credit (which I receive in addition to my bcb) would interfere with my bing. They responded with what i posted and assured me it would not affect bing.

    I stuck with the 5-7 day ground shipping and my computer is on time, scheduled to arrive the 28th by 4:30PM

    School or apartments? Both are extremely pricey. I'm looking at rooming alone and paying somewhere between $1,000-$1,200/month for the first year. I've thought about rooming with other people, but upon considering the possibility of ending up with random frat boys and/or crazies, the decision became an easy one.

    No. AFAIK, no deliveries on Sundays. Deliveries on Saturdays only if you pay for FedEx 2-day shipping.


    Anyone know whether they still ship stuff around the country on Sundays?

    your package will move between hubs and stuff but no deliveries on Sat and Sun. they'll deliver on Sat if you pay for Sat delivery but HP didn't.

    man this envy has gotten me to research Fedex way too much lol :GEEK:

    The housing has and always will be crazy expensive. I would find a fellow Hastings student/USF student/Cal student and live in Richmond and take BART. Rent is cheap, cheap grocery stores like Winco, and you are still close. Yea, it's a little bit shady, but so is the tenderloin district.

    How much does the school cost? Curious how the budget crisis has affected the school, if at all.

    Tuition is about $30k. It's been rising each year steadily and the fact that my school has had to wean itself off most of its state funding doesn't help. That's California for ya.



    EDIT: If I can find someone who's mellow, chill, and willing to help out with the occasional 2-3 times/month cleaning, that'd be awesome.

    Then I do not understand how HP has given you $119 off? I ordered everything in my sig, including the slice battery and 2 day shipping. I do not understand how they said the max they could give me is $50 off, then refund my 2 day shipping.

    I just emailed HP, but I am not expecting much. My experience with ordering my first HP laptop online has not been good at all. It has been a hassle.

    I have been constantly lied to, ripped off, treated like my $1550 order does not matter and I haven't even received my laptop yet.

    Mine's in Memphis, I live in Detroit. Wonder if it gets moved out today it will make it to my local depot by Monday morning for distribution! Entirely possible if trucks travel on Sunday, and most likely they do, just no deliveries on Sunday.
