Is this the email that says you got a refund that was suppose to be sent out roughly 24-48hrs after the laptop was shipped?

And by any chance your case number started with "M" followed by a string of 9 numbers? Asking cause I just noticed one of my cash back has a letter followed by 9numbers while the big one only has numbers...

Well there's 2 I saw heading this way

    3:48pm to Ontario ca
    4:45pm to lax

    Either way..
Those place are really close to my home!!

    Woot!

Though I don't know about fedex early delivery. Wouldn't they just hold it at your local fedex till delivery date?

Anyways.. Here's to hoping for early delivery!!

@whiteroachr, I don't think your case will be able to hold the E14. Correct me if I'm wrong.

If your laptop left at 445, how did it get on a plane that left an hour earlier? The plane that left for Ontario left at 348, not 445.

There is already confirmation from HP that any credits given do NOT effect bing.com cashback eligibility. It does effect how much you will get back, as that is based on the actual cost.

Yeaaah, I was wondering about that, but I hear people saying they shoved 15" lappies in it so I clicked the buy button without trying to think about it too much.

Regardless, when I get my e14 I'm going to ship mom my current laptop as a birthday present (its only about a month old), she'll get a free case.

Its a win win win scenario.

(the third win is because either way I get to buy expensive laptops without being lectured on wasting money)
    {edit}Also...
    Case Internal Dimensions:
    ||13.5" x 10.1" x 1.54"||
    Envy 14
    ||14.01" (W) x 9.33" (D) x 1.09" (H)||
I'm hoping the extra on the other dimensions will give me the .5 inches I need on the width.
If all goes as planned, Like a glove.

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft Bing reps were to say "MEH!" and just let all the student discount/BCB double dippers go by. It's near the end of the month.

As some of you may have heard me say some time back, my friend got his $500 check even though he bought his Envy 15 Gen2 with the student discount. The part that sweetens the bargain is that when I warned him that student 10% discount would void BCB, he nagged an HP CSR for $200 back. So he basically got his Envy 15 with 40% BCB, $200 back, and 10% off.

To repeat: Getting money back from HP does NOT void BCB. It's been confirmed MANY times in the past that money back simply means you get a small portion of your BCB reduced. So say that you bought the Envy for $1,000 and Bing Cashback is currently at 30%. You buy your notebook using your credit card and find your BCB award is $300 bucks. You then decide for some reason to haggle an HP CSR into giving you $100 back. What you'll find later is your BCB award has been reduced because it is recalculated to ($1,000-$100) x 0.30 which comes out to $270. So in the process of asking for $100, you also got the amount you would've been rewarded without the haggle take out.

I would be surprised. Why would a dying program want to give away more money? And the reps that are handling this are losing their job, so their supervisors might be "give less money = chance at another job, otherwise we're letting you go."

I am waiting for my email back about me asking for more money back, as well as getting an email in writing that the discounts would not affect my BCB. It seems like the HP CS person was going to give me another $100, but not take it off as a discount, but as a coupon.

I'm just going to wait and see what I get back in the email. Once I personally get an email back saying that the discounts will not affect my BCB, then I will get all the money back that I can.

anyways, my envy is now less than 50 miles away from me! :D

Doubt it. Not to be a debbie downer, but FedEx isn't going to drive directly to each one of us first. They'll have to fulfill deliveries going from neighborhood to neighborhood first before finally reaching us.

I'd say Tuesday earliest and Wednesday latest. I'll be pleasant surprised if it's the former.

As long as its reached your local FedEx ground carrier, it'll usually go out that next morning. Mine left Memphis at ~ 4:00pm today, assuming its being trucked since I got free shipping (ground), but not sure if its going straight to my depot, but probably to Chicago first, then to my depot, hopefully tomorrow, then delivered Tuesday.

Usually it has to make it to the depot the day before or in the wee early mornings to go on the local delivery truck. So if it arrives tomorrow any time after 5am I'm sure i won't be delivered until Tuesday.

Maybe we should set up a poll/bet. Create a separate thread in which we divide orders by delivery destination/date.

That's what I was thinking. I just don't see why Fedex would hold a delivery just because they received the package before the estimated delivery date. They receive thousands of packages daily, so you would think they would deliver them at the earliest possible date instead of holding them and letting them pile up in a warehouse.

Everyone should also remember that these delivery dates are "estimates". I've found this to usually mean 'at the latest', to give companies some leeway in production/delivery times.

HOLY COW! Mine must have been flown in, because it landed at Detroit Metro at 6pm or so, so probably will make its way to the depot this evening, ready for delivery tomorrow. That would be a treat!

Naw, they want it out of their hands as soon as possible. I'm sure if push came to shove a ground shipment would have lower priority and wait a day. But the thing is, FedEx Ground is completely separate from FedEx Air (3-day, 2-day, overnite, etc) and have separate depots. Considering mine got air shipped to Detroit tells me everyone probably got FedEx Air delivery, maybe because its international or something I dunno. But any other FedEx Ground package I've had was trucked from across the USA, never flown.

You also have to consider that they move stuff around based on space available. If they are meeting shipping deadlines for other shipments, those will go first, if space and time permits they will likely move other shipments earlier.

Well, I'm sure they'd rather choose a later date than earlier one, just so people aren't pissed off more often than surprised by an early delivery.

Food for thought. I've never had a late FedEx delivery. Every single package FedEx package arrived on time with the handful of early birds. But not so with UPS. Most of their packages have arrived on time but I can't recall a single time they were ever early. I do remember having a couple of packages having "rescheduled" delivery dates during college and after.
