As the subject states, I'm having a hard time finding a nice laptop sleeve for the new X200. The most helpful site was the Waterfield Design sizing chart (and they do seem to have a decent sleeve selection), but I was looking for a little more variety to choose from - does anyone have any suggestions?

It's tough for these ultra-small laptops...I see a lot of the 14-15" sleeves on every site...

Oh, I LOVE WF bags. That's about the best you'll get as far as quality goes.

Would a size 10-1 fit the X200? It fits the D430 quite well. PM me.

I am interested in a sleeve too but I have the 9cell so I need something that can fit the extra inch or so.

I'm using my old Sony branded SZ 13.1" sleeve. It fits perfectly with 9 cell battery. So I think that 13 inch sleeves should be fine.

WF sleeves are AWESOME. Super high quality, durability, and my X61 sleeve fits the X200 perfectly well (I had 8-cell battery for X61, and now 9-cell for X200). i highly recommend WF.

I ordered the 13 inch Zeroshock III in orange through the Shinza website and recieved it two days later even though I picked the cheapest shipping method. It looks and feels amazing. It has memory foam in the inside and a waterproof outside. Based on the dimensions from the website, it will fit the 9-cell X200 perfectly based ont he inside dimensions on the website and the sleeve itself wieghs 0.66 lbs (0.300 kg) and is very light.

    http://shinza.com/product_info.php?products_id=105

If you look at the inside dimensions of the so called zeroshock III in black 13 inch macbook air sleeve, it is exactly the same size (edit, made a mistake on this and corrected in post below, the thickness of the macbook sleeve is .6 of an inch smaller while all other dimensions are the same) as the black on that is out of stock and the orange one I recieved. So if color is a big concern and you want black, I see no reason not to order the macbook air 13 inch zeroshock III in black.. Yes it is in stock... Since I will be recieving my X-200 tommorow, I'll make sure it fits and post it here.. I see no reason it wouldn't and I see no difference in the one I bought and the one in the link above..

I believe the thickness it supports is different. Correct me if I am wrong. That's just what I recall from looking a week ago.

let me know let me know! if it fits better i'll get the macbook air version.. (you have 9 cell right)?

edit: n/m... the macbook air version is a depth of 1.0 inches.. where has the x200 has a 0.8 to 1.4 inches profile... the normal 13 inch sleeve has a depth of 1.6 inches.

    X200 with 9 cell
    Width - 11.61 inches, Depth - 9.2 inches, Thickness - 0.8-in to 1.4 inches

    Dimensions using 4-cell battery,
    Width - 11.6 inches, Depth - 8.3 inches, Thickness - 0.8 - 1.4″

    zeroshock III macbook air sleeve
    Interior dimensions (W x D x H): 12.4 x 1.0 x 9.3 inches (315 x 40 x 235 mm)

    standard zeroshock III
    Interior dimensions (W x D x H): 12.4 x 1.6 x 9.3 inches (315 x 40 x 235 mm)

You're right, the thickness is 1.0 in the macbook sleeve while 1.6 in the other.. My mistake. However since the 13 inch is 12.4 inches wide in both internally, the extra length in the sides should bend down and compensate. The depth may very well be a concern however the reason the depth is 9.3 with the 9 cell is the bump on the bottom which raises it since the depth with the 4 cell is 8.3. In other words since the X200 is not as wide as the macbook air and the depth is less as well, it should fit in this case and thickness shouldn't play a role if all your putting in there is the X200 with 9cell. I do believe I will be able to fit next to the X200 in my zeroshock III sleeve the power brick and cord since there is extra room next to it. I'll let you guys know tomorrow. Sorry again for the mistake in the earlier post.

Ya, no problem. If you think there is ample room after having yours in the sleeve I will go ahead and grab the macbookair version. I just want to know how much it can expand if you "force" it.

I'm making a list of different sleeves, trying to decide which one to get. This is what I have so far. I'd like to try the waterfield, but it's hard to justify spending that much on a sleeve. I'm probably leaning toward the case logic or shinza right now.

    x200 w/ 9-cell :-------------11.6 x 9.2 x 0.8-1.4
    waterfield case (24-19) -------------? --------------$57
    shinza (12in) ----------------11.4 x 9.4 x 1.6 ------$28
    casePC (XS) -----------------11.5 x 9.25 x 1.375 --$25
    Radtech Sleevz --------------11.2 x 9.1 x 1.4 ------$25
    -------------------------------12.8 x 8.9 x 1.1
    Case logic stdnt shuttle (12”)11.5 x 9.25 x 1.08 --$20
    Built (12”) -------------------12.7 x 10.4 x .5 ------$30

The Zeroshock III (black) seems to be sold out everywhere.. Only place I've seen it is on eBay, but are they legit?

He seems like a legit seller. There are few posts from people who bought ZeroShock cases.

    http://stores.ebay.com/Tenikiti-Ghibli-store

This store has many blacks for $22.99 + $13 shipping, but from Japan directly though. Will there be custom fees?

I just went to shinza.com to see how much is the shipping. It's $29.99 + $24 shipping. I love Hawaii..

I think I'm going to order one from eBay.

Yes, for sure the Zeroshock III 13 inch fits the X200 with 9 cell.

The one that is still an unknown is the macbook version that is a little thinner, however I believe even that would work and may be better...

But really, it just seems that a lot of people got the 9-cell. If you have suggestions for the 4/6-cells, go for it.

I got my sleeve shipped in two days from Shinza. My X200 that I ordered on the 8th of last month is stuck n customs for an "unknown" reason now for four days when it was supposed to be here two days ago..

I'm very frustrated and I've called Lenovo and UPS both to get this issue resolved. I know Lenovo forgot to send the paperwork for the package neccesary for it to clear customs. I assume that includes the invoice... Upset is not the word at this point and has left a bad taste in my mouth for ever ordering with Lenovo again, I don't care at this point how great the X200 ends up being, this is just unnacceptable.

Good choice.. I'll have to wait till Monday to see if my x200 gets shipped. What a pain in the @$$.... I think you'll be happy with the zeroshock as I do feel I can drop my laptop on the concrete floor with it in a parking lot and not worry about it..

I never really saw the appeal of sleeves. They don't usually have straps, pockets, or anything else that makes carrying your ThinkPad any easier, and you are usually required to just throw it in a bag or just carry it in your hand like you would a naked laptop.

ThinkPads are so durable that I just forgo the sleeve if I want a small/light package to tote around or drop into a bag. When I actually carry my laptop in a bag I want it to have a strap and/or handles and be able to carry just enough that I don't need anything else.

For this reason I use the ThinkPad Leather Ultraportable case with my x200. It is 12x12x4, weighs about 2 pounds empty, has space for the laptop w/ 9 cell, AC adapter, a thin binder or spiral, two pens, a small notepad, and a newspaper. It also looks fantastic with the leather exterior, subtle ThinkPad accents, provides great padding, and an exceptional strap with swivels.

I agree with this basically, but I still ordered a Zeroshock III sleeve for the heck of it. I usually transport my thinkpad x200 in my backpack but I wouldn't mind the extra padding where I can just shove other objects in my backpack that might scratch the thinkpad. I will also really throw my backpack now :).

I just got my zeroshock III 13.3. Fits fine. It is a bit larger in area compared to the x200...but considering the thickness of the laptop it fits snug. It is a nice sleeve. You cannot store the power adapter in the sleeve though. Just small items like a flash drive or pens...

Does anyone have an idea if the Neoprene Sleeve 13" from Incase (for Macbook) would fit an x200(s) with 6-cell battery?

The width and depth are not the problem here, I wonder if the excess space will be enough to compensate for the higher "bottom" of the x200 in comparison to the macbook.

Is there anyone who can verify this?

PS. If anyone finds a better fit for the x200(s) in neoprene sleeves, don't hesitate to spit it out. ^^

They have those in every apple store, so that's something you can check pretty easily. I might just go by a store if I have the time.

Could you possibly take some pictures?

Let us know if you do check that out. There isn't an Apple store in the town that I am so I would have to order one if I wanted one. I have a 4-cell battery, BTW. I would greatly appreciate it, thanks!

For those with a 9-cell battery, check this out:

The zeroshock III is the best of the best and I would recommend getting one even if you only use it to stuff in a backpack or on trips. The leather 2 pound bag is nice, however it is heavier and doesn't protect the X200 as well in my opinion from falls. Here is a picture of my X200 inside the Zeroshock III.. The softcell by Tom Bihn is better than nothing but it will not protect it from falls.

Looking at supermans I think I got the larger sleeve...it was listed as 12.1-13.3 sizing wise...I guess I could have gotten the 12inch one. O well.

It's probably the angle the picture was taken at and so forth and the sleeve is more flat in the jedicore pics while more rounded up in mine from actually using it which has attributed to mine looking smaller.

e-bay has em like jaredy said, however there have been reports of some fake nock-offs being sold there. Your best bet is buying the ones in stock like I did off of the shinza.com website. Take a look at the pictures of mine and you'll see the color orange is very nice as it has two distinct colors depending on the angle and the light. Already people at work were impressed with the coolness of the sleeve than the laptop itself..

Sorry, I should clarify: I meant if the 12.1-13.3 black ones are in stock. I didn't seem to see any and the shinza site is out of stock.

And of course your orange one is beautiful Supermans, it's just that I like black also.
