ebay has them you just have to e-mail the seller to specifically ask for black.

By the way, wait for a week shinza's getting their sleeves in stock. "Warning Inventory update: ZeroShock cases will be back in stock next week. More details will be posted here shortly." If you go on their site, there's a notice on the top header.

could you post a picture with your x200 in it while you receive the sleeve?

    Thank you

Here is an option that will fit all of the X200 and X200s with 4/6-cell batteries to varying degrees of precision. It will fit all models like a glove but will have to stretch 0.2" in at least one dimension in order to do so: LINK

The above auction has several different sizes. Model #1 should just barely fit if the sleeve will stretch a tiny bit.

I think I'll get the pink one ;)

    Code:
    X200s 4-cell: 11.6" x 8.3" x 1.1"
    X200s 6-cell: 11.6" x 8.3" x 1.4"
    X200 4-cell: 11.6" x 8.3" x 1.4"
    X200 6-cell: 11.6" x 8.3" x 1.4"
    Model #1: 11.4" x 8.5" x 1.2"

but you said 12.1-13.1 in your post, and in the picture. Is this for any laptop? Ebay has ones specifically for thinkpad, macbook air, etc. So for x200 we should get "12.1-13.1" for thinkpad" ? They don't list x200 in the title of course. But they do have 12.1" for X61, X300 for example. Which one do you think would fit the x200?

there are no specific zeroshock sleeves for laptops except for the macbook air.. the ebay reseller just puts the name of the laptops that would fit as a selling point. If you look at the dimensions they're all the same.

Would the 12 inch version of the Zeroshock III sleeve fit the X200 with a 9 cell battery? I have that one right now and ideally I would like to reuse it instead of buying the 13 inch version.

no we are getting the 13 inch version for the 9 cell battery (that's what i bought atleast) but i haven't tested it. Just ordered both. The width of the x200 is 11.6 so either way it won't fit the 12 inch sleeve. So in the end... whatever size battery you get.. the zeroshock III 13 inch sleeve is the way to go.

oh I have a 9 cell good think you warned me there.

Supermans pic showed the casing says "12.1-13.3". I see that on ebay, but I see a "13.3" version as well. Do you think there's any diff?

yes the 12.1 - 13.3 is the 13.3 inch on ebay.. my proof is if you look at supermans pic the measurements are the same.

The 12.1-13.3 is the 13.3 one I believe...considering the measurements when comparing it to the shinza site. I got my black Zeroshock III off of ebay...so I guess I took the last black one. I have pictures of the sleeve at http://jedicore.com/x200/ZeroShockIII/ .

Regarding the "13 inch Zeroshock III", how come it weigh so much (300 grams) ???, I paid a lot of money to get the X200s to save any gram possible, and now I have to add 300 grams ?, crap.

I just measured the weight of the sleeve I got with the MSI WIND, and it weigh just 150 grams... not sure why it has to go to 300 grams witht he Zeroshock, seems like bad engineering.

I would have gone without a sleeve if I didn't fear from wear and tear inside my backpack...

You could always purchase a bag that has a built-in sleeve for a notebook. Get something small and light to take advantage of your tiny X200s.

I have the previous (significantly smaller) version of the Tom Bihn BUZZ which has been a great bag since it is (was) made for 12" notebooks. I'm going to sell mine actually so let me know if you're interested.

Please do not jump to conclusions about "bad" engineering. The zeroshock sleeve is not meant to just be a skin over the laptop, but also PROTECT it from intense impacts. There is a high quality foam materially in a wave pattern to efficiently absorb and distribute impact.

I'm trying to decide between the 12" and 13" inch ZeroShock
the 12" looks like the tighter match did anybody get the 12" or did you all go for the 13"?

    X200 w/9cell: ...........................................(W x D x H): 11.6 x 1.5 x 9.2 inches
    ZeroShock III 13-Inch: Interior dimensions (W x D x H): 12.4 x 1.6 x 9.3 inches
    ZeroShock III 12-Inch: Interior dimensions (W x D x H): 11.4 x 1.6 x 9.4 inches

I have the same question as Ipocrita -- has anyone tried to put the x200s in a 12-inch Zeroshock sleeve and found that it doesn't fit? Or has everyone just ordered the 13-inch and found that it does fit in that sleeve? I can't imagine that the x200s would fail to fit in the 12-inch sleeve over .2"of width. And both sleevs has enough depth for the 9-cell battery.

Hi guys with the zeroshock sleeves,

How is the "edge" protection? I'm curious as how well it does against impacts on the edges, cuz that's probably where it will get most of it's damage from in my case. I also noticed that it opens on three of the sides. So if you were to put it vertically with the laptop inside, on a zippered side down, how well is it protected?

    Thanks

i' ordered the Singpeak 12.1in black/orange sleeve from ebay (also avail at amazon for about $20 shipped) and it is VERY high quality. much better than i expected and much better than those sleeves (case-logic/kensington/targus) they sell at BB/CC. highly recommended.

it fits the x200 w/ 6 cell perfectly snug and has a thick memory foam interior

THe macbook air sleeve is a lot thinner so I would only try that if you have a x200s and want to have it tight. I think you should go with the 13in if you're getting a 9cell. You also know the 12inch should fit with the 4celll if it fits the x200 with a 6cell (according to louisssss).
