seems like the normal 13.3" zeroshock is the popular sleeve in the topic. I'll probably get it once my x200 w/ 9 cell arrives

Do they sell these at the apple store? Or do they only have the air version there?

OK, I've given in and ordered a Zeroshock 13" from ebay seller yap2528 for my x200 with 9cell battery. He had them in stock and given his location in the U.S., I at least have a shot at getting it by the end of next week before I get on a plane to travel for the holidays. I'm crossing my fingers!

Ok, I'll get it off ebay then. I have a feeling that my x200 isn't going to arrive at my doorsteps anytime soon (est. ship date is 12/22). Maybe I'll wait till after christmas to buy the sleeve.

btw.. has anyone tried fitting x200 w 9-cell into a 12" zeroshock? can it fit?

cuz when i put it in into a 13", i realised that there were still quite a lot of empty space which made gripping rather difficult.

You can get the it in the 12" barely according to someone's account. It is a tight fit and doesn't slide in like the 13". Take that as you will :).

I recently ordered a sleeve from WaterField and highly recommend their sleeve for the x200. I have a 9 cell battery, so the added dimensions made it difficult in determining the right size with other sleeves, but WaterField's sizing chart took the guesswork out. It has a neoprene interior and nylon shell exterior, very durable. The loop on the bottom makes pulling the notebook out a cinch.

Edit: Great customer service and fast shipping too!

Just wanted to thank everyone who contributed to this thread, ended up buying a 13.3" Zeroshock III for my x200 w/ 9-cell battery and it's absolutely perfect. :)

Mine is pretty snug so the edge is not really of issue.

I want a sleeve with a jimmyhat fit for my forthcoming X200.

The zeroshock III 12" looks like it has dimensions that are within 0.1" for all 3 dimensions if the X200 is equipped with the 9-cell battery.

I have the 4-cell battery though and this means the ZS3-13 would have 0.9" of free space in the rear. A full inch of free space is not acceptable for me...

Can anyone identify a sleeve that fits the X200 with the 4 or 6-cell (flush) battery with a minimum of unused space?

I think you would need to extra 0.9 inch for ease of zipping up your sleeve though. Not too sure if the 12 inch would fit, but I have read somewhere in this forum that the 12 inch does fit the x200.

As far as I understand from this thread, the zeroshock 12" will fit the X200 with 9-cell battery like a custom-fit glove. If I had the 9-cell then my quest would be over. But since I have the 4-cell, this seems to mean that I'll have an extra inch of room inside the case...

    Can anyone confirm?

You mean the 13inch...most of us with 9cells are using the 13inch. I imagine you could cram it into the 12inch sleeve if you had a 4/6 cell.

From what I can see, the 12 and 13 are essentially the exact same size except for the width (which obviously doesn't change depending on battery size).

In fact, the 13 is actually 0.1" smaller than the 12 in terms of width.

So FWIW, here's what I've found so far:

    Code:
    		Length	Width	Width	Thick
    X200 11.6 8.3	9.2	1.4
    Battery (4/6)	(9)
    						Price (shipped)
    ZS3.12 11.4 9.4 1.6	40
    ZS3.13 12.4 9.3 1.6	40
    Singpeak	11.8 8.8 1.3	20
    Mobile Edge	11.5 9.5 1.35	10
You can see that both the 12 and 13 will fit the 9-cell very precisely in the width. However, the 12 is listed as 0.2" too small in the length. I *think* that a mere 0.1" on each side is insignificant enough so that the 12" case will actually fit like a glove in all dimensions. It seems to me then that anybody with the 9-cell would be better off with the Zeroshock 12" case rather than the 13". But this is getting pretty anal retentive; both the 12" and 13" should fit very well.

So I *could* get the 12" cae for my 4-cell equipped X200. But I'd rather not have an extra 1.1" of room . The singpeak case would be a better fit overall, and half the price, but the orange accents are fugly as.

BTW, the singpeak case looks like it is supposed to be a clone of the zeroshock in terms of looks.

I wish that BOOQ made a case that fit the X200. Those are the ideal case, IMO. I have one that fits the X61 with the 4-cell slimline battery like a latex glove.

I went with the Waterfield Designs sleeve for my X301. The sleeve (with included flap) fits the X301 very snugly and has protection on all sides.
May not be the prettiest - but is very well built and functional. The only downside is that it probably weighs half as much as the computer thereby increasing overall weight by 50% (all of a a pund or so).
Would by another without any hestiation.

So did anybody here get the 12.1 inch Zeroshock III for their 9-cell X200? Looks like everybody has the 13 inch sleeve. Just wondering if the 12.1 inch is a better/tighter fit.

This is a followup question mostly to Supermans - the photos you have in
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=295550&page=4

Have not been loading for the past two days. Can you please clarify once and for all whether the 12.1 inch Zeroshock fits the 9-cell X200? The photos appear to show the 12.1 inch sleeve, but I read in this thread that you actually ordered and purchased the 13 inch one. Which is correct?

I took a chance 1 week ago and I bought this case for my 9-cell X200 on ebay from yap2528, item titled " ZEROSHOCK III 12" LAPTOP SLEEVE BAG THINKPAD X200 X200s". And guess what, it fits perfectly! Maybe too much some will say.. Here are some pictures I took just for you : http://img43.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=zeroshock5.jpg

As you see, it's really tight but you don't want a huge case.. I think the 13 inch version is a little bit larger. Oh and forget the zipper on top, too tight to fit anything inside.

Maybe I'm late but If you read this, it's probably because you want this case :)

Thanks for the pics ... i'm really thinking of this sleeve or even the WF ... the WF being super nice but beyond what I really want to pay for a sleeve.

I'm also thinking of buying a cheapo DX sleeve for like 7 bucks. :D

    Decisions, decisions.

Hi guys, am new to this forum and found it to be plenty useful.
X200 has just been ordered and I just can't wait for it to arrive.
ZS3 is very appealing and the great photos are great testament for it. However, with the ultrabase on order I was wondering if any of you have explored the possibility to fit an X200 ATTACHED to an ultrabase into some kind of sleeve. Or what do you use to carry the ultrabase if travelling? I am asking this because I am thinking of inflight DVD entertainment =) Note I did order the ThinkPad Deluxe Expander Case as well... hopefully some of you can confirm that I would be able to store both the X200 and Ultrabase in that bag.
Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

Does anyone have the X200 tablet? I'm wondering if the ZSIII 13" will fit it. Its dimensions are 11.6 x 10.1 x 1.04-1.31, which makes me think even the ZS 13" won't fit.

I got this InCase bag for my X200. It's for the MBP, but fits a X200 with the nine-cell quite nicely.

I think some people have. Should fit fine. I think someone even puts the x200 with 9cell into the 12inch but not sliding it it (opening it all the way and zipping around).

I have the 12" and 6-cell battery. It is a *tight* fit, but that's how it should be IMO. I don't see the point in paying a premium for a ultraportable laptop and then having a larger case/bag for it.

Is your tight fit "Oh my gosh.. I think the zip is going to fly off and I require some strength to zip it" tight or is it "Hm... It fits in just nice.. and I require a little effort to zip it" tight?

The latter. I have also purchased a 13" ZSIII and IMO it is way too big for an X200.
