Yeah I saw some people in discord who said there's has changed that many times. It's ridiculous.

After three arrival date changes in a week or so, finally, it seems to be shipping this week. No time for more delays xd

1290€ for the 3070 pro version, a good bang for the buck, don't you think? In the very Lenovo official site. They are still offering that price since I bought it two weeks ago, they must have sold out everything.

Got my 7i today. I like it a lot. It will take a little getting used to after using only a 14" Lenovo C940 2 in 1 for the last year.

Time Spy on performance mode. No overclock or anything special. https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/64253705

My 7i shipped with 2 1tb Samsung OEM 980 Pros in Raid 0

How is the battery drain with iCue enabled?

I don't even know. I haven't had it unplugged and probably won't very often. It works good on that laptop cooler you suggested though. :D

OK, can you measure idle power draw using HWiNFO with iCue enabled? Reviews and users report upwards of 40-50W with iCue running and less than 20W with it disabled.

Check CPU package power. Idle should be 4-6W, possibly less in balanced mode.

Just curious, what did your order say for drive(s)? Mine says 2 TB SSD and I figured that meant 1 drive.

Do we have any info about the claims that newer units are shipping with better RAM? If the newer modules are indeed better that would save quite a bit of headache.

Usually around upper 20's to mid 30's on quiet mode doing some work or browsing around. These are my temps on performance mode last night during Time Spy. Briefly hit 90c at the end. https://i.postimg.cc/LhFhkX17/Screenshot-4.png The fans ramped up a lot at the end for about 5 seconds but they usually stay very reasonable.

Do you know what a good overclock would be on the 3080 with afterburner? I want to try that sometime today.

lenovo.com seems to have a weird coupon deal going on right now. Basically the Legion 5 Pro can be upgraded to the 3070 for free ($1499 base price) along with every single other option. Also works on the Legion 5 17 so you can get a RTX 3070 + 5800H for $1150. These have very long ship dates, but who knows maybe if they get a burst of supplies in it could ship sooner.

Temps like that would imply low power usage, so no massive losses with iCue. Did you have a chance to look at that? Sorry to be persistent but if this issue has been resolved, the community should know.

I've looked but I just can't tell for sure what I am looking at and nothing stands out. If you can look in HWInfo and tell me exactly what to look at under what section that will help.

I got the 7 with 3080 and 5800H with 16gb memory and 1tb storage. It was about 2200e here in Finland. That little price drop from hx to h was the key in me pulling the trigger :) a great machine!

..oh and iCue.. I reinstalled windows because it shipped with home and I own the pro version. ICue on cpu package drain on all power profiles is about 5-8 W. Icue has some hiccups but haven't had the time to resolve them. It could be user related :p

what kind of temps you got? Couple of hours of total war Warhammer II gets my cpu to 92C and gpu to 75C.. It is a cpu heavy game, but thats quite hot isn't it?

I’m mixed on it. Sure, the performance is nice but it does complicate failure odds and recovery in those events.

I haven't even had time to install a game or play yet. I would prefer lower temps but 92c isn't that bad to me unless it is causing thermal throttling. Do you have yours on a cooling pad so it can get air?

I went against the advice I typically give others and bought the maxed out Legion 7i. Not that there's anything wrong with my 5 Pro, but the specs are too sexy to pass up. Besides, Lenovo's return policy is pretty much no questions asked so if it doesn't end up working out, no big deal.

I went for max because I need it to last for 4 or 5 years. I have a few minor gripes. The keyboard feels a little mushy but its okay. My biggest complaint is the bios. No way to really tweak anything. There is supposedly an advanced bios that can be found if you use the right key code to get in it but what's worked before doesn't work now. A lot of people complaining about in discord so maybe they will fix it.

Nice performance. On par with the X170KM but half the weight and likely still less than 60dB under load.

Are you planning on getting a single gen4 SSD for it, seeing as they are supported. Awesome that the icue power drain is fixed. Was there any coupons to reduce the $3329 price?

No, I have two 1tb Gen 4 drives in it now in raid 0 that seem to work really well. I got about $385 off with code extrafive and also a military discount.

I used the extrafive code and will be getting 6% cash back with Rakuten. I will be thoroughly testing iCue when mine arrives but the initial results posted here have me hopeful.

@Atma - what version of iCue are you running?

Hello friends, I have a question, is there a bottleneck with the 5800h? better intel?
I already had a bad experience with the msi gx60

The Intel has x16 pcie which may be less of a bottleneck in hybrid mode when gaming on the internal display. Then again, all models have a MUX so you can always have a way to remove that bottleneck with a reboot.

The thermals on the L7i are really good. I tried Cyberpunk for a while. The GPU was often on 150 watts and temps in the low to mid 70's. The CPU was 45 watts with temps in the upper 70's to low 80's. They really need some manual fan controls because they could be turned down to reduce noise. You can definitely hear them but not terrible. Nothing like the cpu test at the end of Time Spy. For some reason I can't get afterburner to show my fps though.

It’s such a weird choice to not let the user control the fans. Even a Max fan option would atleast have been a nice feature.

It’ll be delivered later this afternoon. I’ve probably still have 5+ hours to wait.

I’ll check this out and post what my sounds like. Do you have your laptop sitting directly on a hard surface or something beneath it?
