Lenovo est. shipping date - 7/21

Yup I agree with you ROK. We're a Dell partner, so when someone comes in and wants a laptop, 9 times out of 10, i recommend the Vostro line. Fantastic values. I've been using a Vostro 1500 since August last year, which I'm replacing with a T61. I've had no complaints with the machine other than Vista being on it, but a dual boot with XP fixed that

 

The eagle has landed. My R61 w/6 cell battery arrived just an hour and a half ago.

Ordered 6/13.
Estimated ship 6/27.
Actual ship 6/28.
Arrival 6/30.

 

Well even though I cancelled on Friday, Lenovo still shipped out the laptop on sunday & charged me, and i've got to wait (scheduled delivery: 7/8) until I get it, then contact lenovo for shipping labels, then send it back to them before they will rescind this charge. Horrible service.

On the other hand, the one they're sending does have a LG screen.

I ordered my x61s on 6/24/08.
They shipped it on 6/30/08, estimated delivery date according to UPS: 7/1/08. I find that hard to believe! I'll be really surprised if it comes that early.

Lenovo estimated 7/15/08.

How do I find out the screen model?

 

I ordered on 6/24 with an est. shipping date of 7/30!

I only hope my luck is as good as yours agros , though my order did call for a 6-cell battery (I hear those are in short supply ).

 

I recently ordered and subsequently canceled an order of a T61 with an estimated shipping date in SEPTEMBER.

On the other hand, my T61p arrived within two weeks of ordering.

 

I just ordered an X61s with a 4 cell slim and 8 cell, estimated ship date of 7/21... and 15 minutes later I check and it's already knocked back to 7/22. This isn't starting off very well...

I think I'm going to need new 'control' and 'R' keys

 

i got my T61 on monday, june 30

I ordered it on the 24th (t61 14.1, 6cell battery)

estimated shipping date on the website was 7/29

6 days, not bad. i thought i had to wait a month

 

My x61s arrived today, only a day later than UPS estimated.

Ordered: 6/24/08
Received: 7/02/08

So it only took 8 days, and this is a x61s with an 8 cell battery.

 

Oh thank you, you're giving me hope.

But watch, the 8 cell battery won't cause problems, but the 4 cell will delay my order. Then they'll have the 4 cell, but not the 8 cell...
