...that PLAYMAKER made. You ought to be a little more grateful to Playmaker instead of showing enthusiasm for his ouster and still having the audacity to reap the benefits of this guide/thread.

    15% off Stackable coupon found.

    USPSUMMER

You can stack it up with the current instant savings.
    I tried it with x61s fully loaded and got $2000 -> $1700.

This expires today 8/16 11:59pm (Eastern time I believe.)

The word makes no logical sense. It's like a double negative in a word. Irr(not)-regard-less(not) equates to an existence of regard, if anything. Those who use it demonstrate poor grammar. Those who defend it are even more oblivious.

Why would I be grateful to a rude individual? This thread and guide was maintained by PM...not made by him....I can find out the same info through a simple search on FW or SD, so you should still have some audacity to keep your fingers glued together

You seem pretty rude yourself, coming to NBR, offering no real contributions whatsoever and pointing fingers everywhere. I bet you do the same on FW and SD, which is why you are now coming here to leech off of people at NBR.

You thanked me for helping you in the clean install guide. Now you come to make accusations against me? You have no credibility at all. Even vaw laughs at your through private message.

I agree Playmaker was rude at times, but he made a lot of contributions to this Lenovo section of NBR that will be dearly missed. Who cares if he makes raunchy comments when he can write three guides, do a complete overhaul of the ThinkPad FAQ and garner over 20,000 views from all his work? In other words, he helped over 20,000 people. How many people on NBR have you helped lately, eyecon82?

I think you are Playmaker. You're as rude as he is and I can see you trying to create distance between yourself and your former ego. Except this time, you're totally useless on these forums. When you actually help people, you can talk smack. Until then, keep it shut.

Hi -- for anyone looking for a GREAT deal, I thought this might be of interest:

Lenovo is offering a deal via the National Association of Realtors that matches the Shareholder 15% off coupon that expired at the end of July.

The ecoupon is USXNARTRIPLE, but it's only available through the Realtor portal.

You can read all about it here:

    http://rismedia.com/wp/2007-08-16/nar-pulse-triple-savings-from-lenovo-through-august-31/

PS: I found this by doing a Google news search for Lenovo and ecoupon. So it's not exactly as if it's a deep dark secret.

Brickabrack: "Anyhow, as much as we loved Playmaker, let's just keep in mind that nobody ever really dies in a forum."

How prophetic. Here's some advice filabusta aka johnny_1987 aka Playmaker aka Brickabrack, if you're a TINY bit more considerate no one will ever know it's you! I mean come on man you come on here posting things like that and expect people not to notice? LOL man... just LOL. Or you know you could start typing like a gangsta or something. Maybe be like "yo dawgs, dun b dissin da op 4 he made da postin". Joking aside I'm sure the mods wouldn't care if you came back but actually gained an ounce of restraint when posting. Sure sometimes the drive to flame people is high and I've done it, but come on there's a limit and you have to restrict yourself. Andrew said you threaten people via PM? What is lower than threatening people on a laptop forum? The reason I write this is that I'm pretty sure he's still around here under another name and will hopefully read this and more importantly take the advice.

I would have posted this under the thread "Bring back Playmaker" but Andrew closed it =/.

    First time posting...

Here's for Discovercard holders. You can get more discounts using Discover cash back bonus.

    http://www.lenovo.com/discovercashback

You can find some pretty nice deals for preconfigured models. Take a look at models T61 64607EU and 646066U looks very cheap.

I think the point was for you to notice. I can't see anyone being that stupid. He doesn't need to be here. He's not the one looking for a new laptop anymore. I'd say he needs a life outside of a forum that doesn't pertain to his needs anymore, but then again, the same can be said of many of you. Hopefully he has found one and doesn't need to come back here ever again.

You need to get an eCoupon through your Discovercard website. Log onto your account at www.discovercard.com, go to the cash back bonus page and look for Lenovo and select to use $60 of cash back bonus to get $120 off purchase at Lenovo. Take the eCoupon code, go to the http://www.lenovo.com/discovercashback pick a laptop, add to cart and apply the eCoupon, you should see $120 off.

The Visa Perks discount is a pretty good one. It has it's perks like you can return your laptop if defective on arrival. I have an EPP Friends/Family code, but buying through EPP is final sale and then the warranty kicks in. I might end up purchasing a Lenovo V200 through Visa Perks instead -- it will cost $150 more than EPP but I think it would be worth it.

Plus, I'd keep an eye on Red Flag Deals for Canadians. There's deals on everything from travel to computers. It changes day-to-day.

No, I e-mailed them two days ago. The EPP Friends/Family purchases (in Canada anyway) states it's final sale and the email I received said so too. If there is a problem when it arrives, then the warranty kicks in. It's returnable only if its "dead on arrival." It also states this in the Terms and Conditions as well.

Oh..that is because you are in Canada...they have a diff return policy...As soon as I click my return policy on my order status page..it gives me the normal 21 day return policy.

Does anyone else have any say or experience in returning an EPP bought thinkpad?

The US EPP policy states the same thing, yet they accept returns within the 21 day window.

Hmm...from part of my e-mail response about the EPP program:

"The employee purchase program is final sale, there are no exchanges or returns. In the case of a defect that is covered by the warranty, technical support would assist you in having the system serviced, or a replacement model sent to you."

Maybe the Canadian EPP program is stricter? Can any Canadian shed any light on the 21 day return window for the EPP program?

I believe The "friends and family" program is different from the EPP program. If you read the terms you are referring to they are specific to the EPP program and have details that would ONLY apply to an employee. The F&F program has the same terms as regular discount programs like visaperks as far as I understand it. If you really have a friend/family that works for Lenovo just ask them and they can clarify for you.

What was the wording of your email?
Did you specifically ask about the EPP policy?
If yes then I'm not surprised they gave that answer since they were just reading the script.
If you've already made your decision to return, then just call CS and initiate a return process. Don't mention the EPP at all.
I've returned mine without any problems, so as others.

hey just a question, is the student discount stackable with fatwallet cashback?
is there any opportunity to use the EPP or will lenovo check if you are really an employee?
I wan to order a t61 during the next days and now I'm looking for the best discount. What would you recommend?
    Thanks

    1. fatwallet should work no matter what.
    2. EPP will always work as long as you have the valid access code
    3. Order with EPP, link through fatwallet, pay with your CC that offers the best returns, like cash back etc.

Unfortunately, EPP and the education discount does NOT work with fatwallet. I researched in to it pretty deeply. you MUST click the link provided by fat wallet and stay on that page...if you enter another URL..it will not work

EPP is the best discount. Use a discover card and get 5% cashback or use amex and get an extra year of warranty through their buyers assurance program
