I'm almsot 100% certain that is the model # of the integrated GPU alongside the CPU in the Arrandale. ie, an INTEL part.

15.6" means 16x9, is it safe to assume HD+ means 1080p?
And yes, NVS means NVidia. -
No sorry, HD+ is 900P, FHD is 1080P
-
Im upset they arent putting numpads on the 15.6+ laptops. For something that size a full featured/sized keyboard is a must.

Thanks. -

The next question is will it stop there? Has anyone ever heard of anything even wider? -

Why would they go wider?
This is driven by consumer level demand for cheap "HD" ready displays with which they can play dvd's on and think it is magically better. -
They dont "demand" HD, they are sold the HD as better and they buy it

Yeah and what'll happen once they have sold everybody a set of HD TV, netbook, notebook, PC, smartphone,..? They'll invent something new, maybe "SuperHD" or "eHD-X" (I should get those registered as trademarks).
And I think it'll be wider yet again; there is lots of content wider than 16:9. -

LMAO.
I like where the future is heading... seems like we won't need to do anything, just get our DNA modified so that things get done automatically by computers.
