I ordered a X200 tablet on Dec.25 cost me $650(the taxes are not included), and I got it on Jan 03. I found most of you guys received a X200 with a screen without multi-touch. But, mine laptop has a multi-touch screen. Is anyone receive a X200 tablet has the same screen as mine?Or, I'm a lucky one?

For the 10^10th time, I couldn't care less about multitouch. Have fun cleaning your screen.
However, my understanding that's also an IPS screen which "should" be pretty good quality screen regardless of the multitouch. Let us know what do you think about it!
Btw, grats. I'm glad other people grabbed this deal tho. -
Yeah, I knew you don't care about whether the screen is multi-touch or not. I keep my eye on this post since I ordered that laptop. Some people claimed that they bought the same kind of laptop with an amazing price of $281. I was searching that information on google. However, I came into your post. I found a lot of people in this post like me concern this deal
When, you discuss which kind of screen we may get several days ago, I really wan to join you, but I didn't have a ID on this site. Now, I just active my ID..HAHA

Does anyone have experience with the Lenovo 12W sleeve? Is it a perfect fit for the X200T?

got my tablet today. The screen I have is LTN121AP03001 which I believe a Samsung PVA panel.
parts lookup says
42T0697 13N7272 12.1 INCH LCD DISPLAY FRU
which I thought would be a 400 nit outdoor panel
Screen is nice but not sure if it is 400 nits -
It's really bright on max despite whether it is or isn't exactly 400 nits. Being a hardcore matte fan, I have to admit this is the first glossy screen I've seen that seems usable outside, even on the sunlight. The glossiness (surprisingly) doesn't bother me.
In any case, I played with color settings and this setup works a bit better than default ICC profile on my screen:
In Intel Graphic Media Control Panel (right click on Desktop then Graphic properties), first for All Colors, I changed Gamma to 0.7 (0.8 is a tad bit too much for me), then for Blue only I increased the contrast from 50 to 51. That made the yellow tone minimal while still preserving other colors. (Hint: the Thinkpad background that comes setup by default is actually blue and not cyan.) When the lights in my living room are dim this is used with 8/15 screen brightness, but typically around 10-12/15. The con is that some grays now have veeery slight blue tint, but to me it's almost negligible.
One can also play with Windows Calibrator but I never managed to use that to get rid of yellow tint properly (basically all you can do there is gamma and reduce red and green). The problem with doing that is that while fixing grays, you'll tone down all reds and greens and then e.g. if you look at red picture it will look too dark (it wont be saturated enough). Of course if you have access to professional calibrator, then you can make it look even better.
Overall, I like this screen much better than AFFS BOE Hydis 120 (matte) I had. (For one, it's not the damn CCFL.) -
Do you guys use screen protector? If so, which one is good?
Thanks! -
I think the Samsung PVA is 285 nits if I recall correctly, which I may not.
I don't use a screen protector. If you make sure your nibs don't get an edge on them, you should be good. -

btw, just found out there is no bluetooth. Need to get one -
I used the program called Astra32. I believe other similar free software that show 'advanced' system info would work as well.
Few simple questions:
1. I got a metallic ring packed with the stylus. What's that for?
2. X200t has an outdent in the upper right corner (when you open the screen) ... what's in there?
3. How do I know I have bluetooth installed? I don't see anything like "Bluetooth interface" in the Device Manager?
Thanks -
2: need a photo or better description. the only specific piece i know of in that corner is the external WWAN antenna.
3: press Fn+F5 and enable BT from that menu. if you don't see BT on the list then you don't have it. -
funny, when I use the software you used, I got the same monitor like yours (LT121EE08000) but when I use different software such as hardware info, I will get the LTN (samsung PVA).
btw, definitely no bluetooth in this model. Cant find it in F5 -
Can you tell which factory my screen was made from? Thanks

Thanks. Presumably it's WWAN antenna then. It's this thing:
Candypuck,
according to the this post: http://forum.tabletpcreview.com/lenovo-ibm/31644-definitive-x200-tablet-lcd-panel-resource.html it could be Toshiba IPS screen. -
Speaking of WWAN antenna, is it DIY replaceable under warranty? Mine has a noticeable scratch on it on arrival.
How much battery life are you guys getting? I'm testing the battery with the screen set at max brightness, power management on "power source optimized", HDTune deep scan running at the background and doing some web surfing. I'm only getting an estimated 3.5 hours left on the battery. Is this normal? -
I get plenty - from around 4-5 hrs when watching YouTube video over WiFi, to (supposed) 7-7.5 hrs surfing and doing regular stuff - chatting, writing etc.
My screen brightness is around 8-11 (out of 15) and using Energy Saver (or Green something) power plan. I don't know what HDTune deep scan does but I keep my background tasks to a minimum. -
Will the battery life get better with more breaking in on the battery? Mine has only 1 cycle so far.
-
I wouldn't keep my hopes up.
Btw, for a list of user-replaceable parts I'd consult the service manual that should be available online - I think it says there.

Batteries slowly degrade over time. That's the state of the technology as of today. There's not much to be done about it.
