Waiting on your laptop? Memory backorder?

Good now that everyone pretty much shipped we can all relax.

Should I start a "Order Shipping? UPS Delay?" Thread lol?

 

I can't relax...my Z61t didn't ship. I don't belive other peoples' Z61s have shipped either. Still just as anxious as ever!

 

Same my z61t hasn't shipped.
I don't even know anymore they say I should get it mostlikely 2nd or 3rd week of december. Im just scared it'll end up being beginning of January, if thats the case I will file a complaint.

 

Looks like they got their issues resolved. T60 15" flexview, ordered 12/4/06, shipped 12/8/06. Lucky me :-D

 

agreed on the z series orders, I ordered a Z61m on 11/24 and it still shows estimated ship date of 12/18.

Mine was ordered 11/9 --if you get yours before me, I'll be extremely angry!

Per my previous posted email response, they still claim I'll get mine by the 19th.

I'll believe it when I get a tracking number.

So, no, the ordeal isn't over for many of us that ordered the Z's.

 

Hello mates... Finally I find this wonderful forum with all these superb bloggers. As far as I am concerned I found myself in the same situation. I order my Z61m on 11/01/06. Initially, my estimated date of shipping was 11/28/06. However, day passes the deadline period of the shipping, and guess what. I receive, as many of you have had already, an email saying that my order has been back-ordered for the 01/01/07!!!!! I called a couple of time and I still get the same story. "First off all we will like to apologize for any inconvenience we've caused .It seem like you realistic shipping day will be around December 17-20th. There's been a delay on the display shell." So I guess after I've read some of your comments, I concluded that we hopefully receive our laptop before Christmas in the best case scenario. Let's see.

Hmm so maybe the shell delays are only effecting the non-Titanium ones?

 

Im not really good at this UPS stuff so can someone help me out. My tracking has been like this for 2 days now. Does this mean that it hasnt left China yet?

Well, accually the delays affect the ones that come with Titanium (mine comes with the titanium shell in this case) . Or maybe the reps are just trying to cover the delays by saying whatever they think might be a good excuss for the delay.

 

Mine is titanium too and its delayed. I agree with the previous post best case scenario ours ship or are received by christmas.

 

****... I hope what they e-mailed me is correct then. My estimated ship date on the site hasn't changed.

Anyone know off-hand, your Order Status doesn't go into Invoice until its shipped?

 

FYI-Mine has the titanium shell as well.

 

Well I hope so, my order Status when I view "Open Orders" is in Process and has been since the 1st.

My Credit Card's Available balance has dropped the appropiate amount too, though still no charge seen...

 

I'm in the same boat as many here - z61t Titanium ordered 11/8 - estimated ship date 1/4.

By threatening to cancel, my rep escalated the issue to a customer care rep who gave me a $300 credit to hang in there.

Just an option for those of you who are pulling your hair out.

 

My laptop has cleared customs. Set for Monday delivery.

I certainly didn't feel like my rep would really care if I cancelled. I do have two laptops on order...but a $300 credit would be nice...or maybe an extra battery or something . I ordered my Z61ts on Nov 29th and Dec 2. I hope whatever shipment they get in will have enough to cover both of my units.

Set to be delivered on Monday, I bet they stop by when I am at work. LOL

 

Heck, it'd be pshing to get a $300 credit, when some of us have been waiting 3.5 weeks longer.

 

Geez I feel bad for some of you guys, I placed my order 12/4 and it was already shipped 12/8, on a customized system too! Best of luck to those of you who are still waiting.

Hi guys, I just got a confirmation email that my FIRST ThinkPad, has been shipped, i have been living a HP, Dell, Toshiba life so far but honestly i couldn't take the crappy quality anymore, so i decided to go with a 14" T60. i ordered my T60 on 12/04 and got an email that it was shipped on 12/09. I'm a computer scinece student in canada, and we dont have much option in lenovo site here. but since i was going over to my aunt's this xmas in California, i thought its the prefect opportunity. so i ordered my T60 and only after that i came across this thread which scared me SH*TLESS! but to be honest i never even thought of going back to HP or Dell, and i said to my self, worst case my aunt will have to ship it for me in jan or feb! and it will still be worth it! but now! i am so excited! i'm sorry if i drifted off topic but its all joy and i have to let it somehow!

That is a good price and configuration. I also live in Canada so I feel the Lenovo limits. So are you just going to go there and bring it back with you basically? How do you declare this?

 

well, I'm going there for xmas, and by "declare" if you mean at the boarder, i really don't think that they would bother you for a laptop, i traveled a million time with my laptop, and nobody ever asked me where i bought it, so i really don't see that as a problem.

 

I ordered the T60P on 11/21, est ship date was 12/22. After 3 weeks waitting, here is the response from Lenovo:

Heck, they won't even start building the system untill 12/26??? So when will it be shipped then? like Jan 2007? I am seriously disappointed with the order,
those who get their T60 in time should feel extremely lucky. Now I have no idea what am I supposed to do, I just don't wanna wait another month.....

 

There was supposedly a "memory constraint" with the specific part numbers that went into my system, but I still managed to get it this morning, 8 days ahead of the web site's estimated ship date. I ordered on 11/16.

I'd expect it to ship late this week or early next week unless they really did run out of memory this time. I think the problem is just that nobody you can talk to has any idea what's really going on over in China.
