When is your T400 expected to ship to Canada?

has any one who got their's yet experienced the samsung/lg screen issue as well?

i know it's off topic, but i'm going into graphic design and the screen i pretty important , and righht now is the only thing holding me back from ordering

 

The service on my tracking page says STANDARD. I live in downtown Toronto which isn't that far from their Mississauga depot so I'm not sure what it will be for you.

 

I talked to a rep today who said it would take 3-4 days to get to NS from ON, so going to Alberta should be a couple of days at least. It is regular ground shipping, not Air.

 

gay, all the american orders seemed to be getting express shipping.

So I guess it'll be here on Monday.

 

I ordered on 9/5 and just got an email this morning saying it was shipped but no tracking number was in my email

EDIT: I guess that's the same for everyone, what a bunch of gay...

 

I'm so confused, why does everyone else keep getting emails? I've talked to two different reps who have said that an email is not sent to me when it ships. I'm beginning to wonder if they are lying to me and in fact my T400 hasn't been built yet.

On another note, my original sales rep screwed some things up in my order, and upgraded me to 'expedited' shipping. I've now learned that this is just regular shipping, so if they ever try to offer you this 'upgrade', don't take it!

 

lenovo canada is way incompedant imo, especially the ceo.

 

What the... why is it going to Concord when you're in downtown toronto?


Oh yea... lenovo has a price protection policy. Get your money back if you paid more than what you pay today with their EPP sale.

 

Whoa crap... mine came in the mail. Staring at it right now...

Will put up initial thoughts later... but so far:

Kevin's note on keyboard flex is evident... push down on the keys and it will flex the area around the key... not much of a bother for me since i don't pound keys when i type

Flex also evident when pushing down on express card reader, and also above the dvd drive.

Also, not a big fan of this lenovo setup program that starts the first time you turn on the comptuer.. lol.. ctrl-alt-del out of it.

This is the email I got

Not much too it and the customer service email is useless. Asked about the HD 3640/3470 issue and they gave me a reply of "AMD M82XT Hybrid 256MB" which is still wrong. I also asked about shipping and they said 3-4 weeks the yesterday and i got the above email today

Yeh, I am also about the do a clean install haha, I'm not noticing a lot of flex on the keyboard (this is my first laptop though ) and I'm very satisfied with the screen

 

LoL.. the first thing after i tried to flex the keyboard was check whether i got an LG screen. If you're happy, chances are you got one too!

 

mine insn't gonna be received til next friday =[ but i got a pricematch today \o/ T500 at $1772 wheee!

I was told that it would ship the 23 and should be here (Quebec) the 29 !

mine shipped today. i ordered on he 22 of aug. the reps are saying i should have it in a week, depending on customs (im guessing this is why many orders take longer than expected)

When did you order bunkhouse?

 

ordered Aug 19th, but credit card company delayed it by 1 week. Lenovo put a hold on the credit card Sept 8th (indicating that it was being built).

 

So i ordered mine on the 8th of september. My CC has not been charged yet. Should i be concerned, or do they only charge it when its been shipped, etc? O_O

 

call the cc company n see if its verified. I have a charge placed on the card for the past 3 weeks but nothing appears in online banking or statements.

 

so ive received confirmation that my order has shipped! I ordered it Sept 8th, so it seems surprisingly quick that it took a week. No tracking #, so i will give them a call about that to see if they can give me any additional information. How long does it usually take to ship? 2 weeks?

I just got off the phone with lenovo and it should be here by friday! I got my email on the 12th and ordered on the 5th so its been pretty fast. hope i got an LG screen...

 

It's nice to see that some Canadian orders are being processed quickly. Do you guys know roughly how long it takes for any updates to show on the Lenovo website about your order? Meaning from the moment you placed your order to getting any updates at all? Should I just call Lenovo or my CC company to see if any progress has been made?

 

So when exactly is the card charged? It was my understanding that it was when it shipped. But mine shipped last Sunday and I've had my T500 for a few days now. I just got off the phone with Visa and although previously there was a hold from Lenovo, it's now gone, my credit limit is full and there are no pending charges? Did I just get a free laptop?

 

Hmm...looks like they sent out a whole batch of notifications today. Got mine today as well so I'm guessing it'll all be sent together overseas or something.

But yea, I was wondering if UPS or Fedex or whoever that's going to deliver it to me, are they going to charge me some sort of tax? I've only bought something online once and it was shipped from China, when the Fedex guy came, he charged me some sort of tax before he would give me the package.

Will it be the same with the laptop? Cause then I'd need to get some cash on hand seeing as the tax would a few hundred.

 

It's my understanding that laptops are duty free and you already paid the GST/PST when you bought it. So you should be fine, I wasn't charged with mine.

Just got my T400 and its ****ing awesome, got an LG screen too!

 

the sales rep promised me it only takes up to 48 hours to proceed the credit card payment, and they ended up releasing the order bill four days after. not to mention that i spent 3 hrs on the phone try to figure out what was the problem....................

hey dude, i got exactly the same notification. and it says exactly the same thing. AND, i also ordered on Sep 12! so maybe our t400s are in the same batch then.

i guess all we have to do is to give them a call first thing in the morning to find out more. keep it posted

 

I also received the same notification from Lenovo with the "All or part of your order has been shipped". Only ordered a laptop so I don't know exactly what to make of this. nwo.iluminati and hgl please keep us posted on what CS has to say about this. It seems like my laptop will be coming in on the same shipment as you guys.
