When is your T400 expected to ship?

I ordered a T400 with a 6 cell battery. Ordered 8/19 and it shipped on 8/30. UPS got it to San Diego, its final destination, and sent it off somewhere else. My rescheduled delivery date is now 9/3. Has anybody else had this happen?

How do you figure?

What you posted shows it started in HK, went to Anchorage, then Louisville, then San Diego. Follow the time/date stamps.

 

I ordered mine on the 19th and well, I'm sening this message from it right now

 

Check again, I bet your's says something like this now, cuz mine does!

It just took one day from HK to USA, but it took three days from AK to KY in the US (maybe because of labor day).

Yea, there wasn't any activity for Sun/Monday.

Pretty strange, too, that the package went from Alaska to Kentucky and then to California. I'm sure there are logistical reasons for that but seems like a waste of time/money.

 

Ordered Mine on Aug. 22 , expected delivery is on Sept 23rd.

 

Most of that is just timestamps for "paperwork" handled in different locations. As I understand it, the notebook itself is not flying around the country racking up frequent flyer miles.

 

Haha, gotcha. That makes more sense. With fuel prices they way they are, I'm sure no carrier would want to move a package even a mile more than they have to, much less several thousand.

 

About my question, don't worry, i just received a mail confirming the shipping.

Called lenovo CS est ship date moved to 09/08 but the online order status is still 09/02.

 

They did the same thing to me, was up there on Sunday but not any longer. Anyhow, had shown the 5th for delivery but UPS status update still has departure from CN as the last entry. No arrival in Alaska as of yet...

 

Okay then, it's not just me. It's too bad, though, because I'd work from home that day if I knew when it was coming.

Looks like a lot of us are going to be getting a package next week.

 

My girlfriend ordered a W500 and received an e-mail this past Thursday from Lenovo saying that it had shipped. She called today to find out when it would arrive and was told that the e-mail was wrong and that it had not shipped, and that he had no date for when it would ship. Lame.

Edit: We live in Canada, so maybe that has something to do with it. She got the 9-cell battery.

Anybody in Canada receive a shipping notice yet? I ordered on 08.20.2008 with 6 cell and I haven't received a notice yet. Last time I called, they said the ESD was Sept. 12 and it would arrive by Sept 22. I'm going to give them a call tomorrow.

 

i get a perception that it generally takes longer if shipped to Canada. just a side note, i checked the epp site few minutes ago and tried to configure a t400, under the optical drive option it says that the shipment may delay 3-4 weeks if choose DVD burner.

worries.......... Canadians just get disadvantaged for everything: higher tax, worse deal, and now --- longer shipment geezzzzzzz

a WEEK to arrive? man, that might be more painful than waiting for it to ship. i guess i can't really complain... i still have my T61 to keep me busy until it arrives.

 

it seems everybody here is getting a free update on the express shipping, I could not find a schedule deliver date from UPS website for mine, check there and maybe you will get it this week if express.

 

My T42 still rocks except some virus after 5 years. I am planning to do upgrade the HD and also reinstall XP to get rid of the virus. Hopefully the new T400 will be as good as the T42.

 

It might not hold up as long as your T42, but I bet the LCD will put it to shame

I hear ya Mike! Mine is circa 5/03 and still taking care of business. 30gb hd just isn't cutting it anymore for my needs. No sense in upgrading when the T400 is so sexy.
