When is your T400 expected to ship?

Ordered August 25
Received shipping notification earlier today (September 2).

T9400
9-cell battery
Radeon HD 3470
2Gig *1 RAM
7-in-1 reader
LED backlit

 

Well, it must not be the 9 cell batteries any more as my order for a very similar system as above just got pushed back to the 16th and was ordered on the 19th of August.
I'm guessing Bluetooth is the problem?

It says Service: EXPEDITED on the UPS site but the est ship date is still next Tuesday. I guess I'll wait and see.

Happiness. I finally received my “shipping confirmation” email this morning and, like many others, it appears they upgraded the shipping to express service as well. According to UPS, currently the notebook is in China today and will be in the states by the fifth/in two days.

 

Called in just now. My T400 with 6 cell, BT, 5300, P8600, ATi 3470 has ESD of Sept. 13. I ordered on Aug. 20 so that is a few days over 3 weeks. When I purchased the order, it said it would ship between 2-3 weeks so I guess this is alright.

 

I called Lenovo this morning for a shipping date estimate and they refused to give me an approximative date before they hung up on me lol The customer service of Lenovo is trully one of the worst I ever had to deal with.

 

Sounds about right from Lenovo. I just got mine but it's at my California address. Should be here in about a week

 

ordered 8/13, estimated 8/27. last week i was told that it would ship 9/3, now they're saying 9/11.

 

Grrr... mine's been cooling its heels (heh!) in Anchorage for almost 24 hours now. I'd really like it to get here Friday and not have it sit around through a delivery-free weekend.

I'm on the east coast. From others I've seen, it takes one day from landing on the mainland to get delivered, but it has to leave Alaska first!

 

It's tiny, but OmG it's amazing.

The bloatware is actually minimal cus it runs fast with 2GB ram

Oh and if you try to install a not-legit copy of XP, you may or may not get a BSoD.............. so I'm glad I got Vista Business x64

 

I ordered my T400 with 9 cell and led on 8/19, est date 9/2, called yesterday and they said it had already shipped, called today because they hadn't sent me a tracking number yet and they said that it wouldn't ship until 9/16, they changed the ship date to 9/16 about an hour after that. Talked to somebody else who was supposedly "on the supply side of things" they said it should be shipped on 9/9 they also put it on the "crit list," which I think is imaginary ! I guess you can't get a straight answer out of them.... Too bad

No, I haven't got the UPS number yet.
The site says that the number will come on the next morning.
So I would get the number in 24 hours. (I don't know which morning they are talking about--- morning in china or morning in the USA.)

I just check again and go on to UPS link to see shipping information with the UPS number.
The UPS site says "Billing Information Received" with Express service.
I ordered UPS ground, but the service is Express... did they upgrade it for free too?

 

Yeah, that seems to be what everyone is getting. Maybe it's cheaper for Lenovo to send everything together.

Yup exactly. Still makes more sense for them to send a plane full of laptops at once time even if people didn't pay for express. In fact, it makes cheap ******* consumers (like me ) happier with the purchase.

Mine was exactly the same, except I got the 6 cell on a custom configured T9400 with LED screen.

I got the email that it shipped yesterday, and the tracking data showed up this morning. According to that it was picked up in CHEK LAP KOK, HK.

Whatever they're shipping weighs 3.6 KGs so that sounds a bit like a laptop and some packaging. It also says it's shipping express which I didn't pay for (I checked). strange strange

Yeah Customs delay can be a day or two sometimes I think (usually it's fairly quick though from what I recall). My T43p three years ago sat there for less than a day.

I had the exact same "Anchorage AK Departure Scan" at 11:29 PM on 9/2, and I've been waiting ever since for it to actually, you know, depart! A few hours ago it showed up as arriving in Louisville, KY, so you should check yours. BUT it's now showing an estimated delivery date of 9/9, which is crazy.

Mine says "expedited" delivery rather than "express," so that means I can expect another week for delivery, I guess, even though I could drive from here to KY, pick it up, and drive home in 2 days!

 

Small gripe: Mine spent a day in China just to get exported!

What are you guys doing to get such early shipments? I didn't order anything differently than some people who ordered later than me. Is it a case of squeaky wheel gets the grease?

Mine too! I was thinking about calling and seeing if I could still modify my order (I've been going back and forth in my head about the processor and the wireless card), but this morning I got an e-mail saying that it had shipped!
