I have known how bad Abe's of Maine is for over 20 years! They're way worse than Crazy Eddie in NY every used to be. I cannot believe that they are still in business.

I bought a new camera (Canon S95) from Abe's of Maine's in the beginning of the year, and they sent me a unit that had clearly been used and dropped. I bought it through their eBay department. The guy who does the eBay sales is shady, but after some complaining on my part, they refunded me my money so I was able to buy my camera from Amazon instead.

Never will do business with them again. One bad experience is enough.

I'm shocked that someone actually ordered from Abe's after this thread. Or perhaps you didn't see this thread prior.

I'm done with them even though in the end and after a lot of fighting, they made the situation right.

By the way, still waiting on the refund......

I think he's purchasing a Asus notebook, so perhaps he doesn't go to this forum and see the thread at all...

By the way, agree with the above poster. If you haven't received your refund, they haven't done right by you yet. This may turn out to be another issue that needs escalation. Best of luck to you.
