I don't see it. Unless you're referring to the Y series line up page

I see prices on that link. 1099 - 1649 (16gb, 512SSD)

for the same specs as this or close: Newegg.com - MSI GS Series GS60 Ghost-007 Gaming Notebook Intel Core i7 4700HQ (2.40GHz) 12GB Memory 750GB HDD 128GB SSD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M 2GB 15.6" Windows 8.1
how much do you think it'll cost for a y50? im ecstatic -
I still can't (USA)
So freaking Y40 starts at $1099? -
Edit: and a dGPU -
Okay then that's fine then.

Now I'm waiting as you all for the Y50Attached Files:

And now I can't see them anymore...
There's something weird going on with the lenovo servers... the same thing happened when they posted the new pics fir the y50... half the users could see them and half couldn't.
Earlier I could actually order it and now I can't even see the prices anymore. -
Thanks. -
Godammit lenovo is pulling a razr!bokol likes this. -
keep refreshing still not able to. oh well. im wating for the y50 anyway. crazy rather get the y510p sli gt755 on newegg for less than 1000 than that. lol over priced for a r9 m270
-
Yeah, they probably have a LB with a slice live for testing and some of us are just 'lucky'. I went to my machine to get the screenshot to ease the pain and suffering.
-
That pricing looks kinda crazy... 1Tb 5400 rpm is more expensive then 256 gb ssd..... 300$ extra for the top version for only 8 gb ram and 2 gb extra vram on video card....
Something stinks... -
so again. with this specs or close:
Intel Core i7 4700HQ (2.40GHz)
12GB Memory 750GB HDD 128GB SSD
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M 2GB
1920 x 1080
do you think it'll be cheaper than the MSI GS60? the price is what im waiting for. -
I just saw why the pricing is so off
The 1 tb 5400 rpm model and the top end model don't have the "200$ savings" offer.
I'm guessing they have low stocks for them and want to push ppl to the other 2 models
That would mean that 1tb 5400 rpm will end up at 950$ in the near future after applying the same 200$ "savings" -
It will be IMPOSSIBLE to get both a SSD AND a HDD together in the y50 as it only has one 2.5" slot and no msata/m2.ngff(based on the picture of the internals of the PROTOTYPE posted a few pages back)
But not taking that into consideratio I am almost sure that the y50 will be much cheaper at any spec level than the MSI -
I hope that isn't the real prices+ I don't know when the new Y series will be available in Canada and some other countries. I don't know if they are coming out later in other countries than U.S .
-
Wait a second....they're all Intel U processors?!

I'm disappointed... -

-
Chill out guys. Y50 will definitely have the 4700
-
In case it wasn't readable before I updated my post on page 142 with a better image of Y40 prices/details.

Pola G: We are expecting that the Y50 should be out the mid of May.

Seriously now...the i7 4500u will not be a bottleneck for the 270m. Let's not be elitists here.
You will get more battery life and a cooler laptop because of that processor.
As long as the y50 gets a full voltage CPU everything will be ok.acrox999 likes this. -
There was some question earlier about backlit keyboard on the Y40, the Y40 page I can still see shows backlit keyboard in the picture and in the details.
-
Why nerf the y40 so much...don't get it...u processors...r7 m270... No touch option 860m...No backLit keyboard... No 4k option... but a carbon fibre finish ... Damn I wish I knew what they were thinking...

And as I said that CPU is perfectly appropriate for the GPU and the laptop will run cooler and longer because of it -

-
Hmm well I actually did (except for the u processor)... I was just voicing out why they might have done it... No need to be snap lol...it's a discussion

The U processor is really beyond expectation...and the prices are also higher than expected
I don't know what to expect now in Y50 -
On another youtube video (that I can remember) and several articles from pc mags 699usd is also mentioned as the entry-price for this model..
-
Prices are where they should be IMO after they apply the 200$ savings to the top end model and the 1TB 5400 rpm HDD model wich will bring it down to:
1450$ with 16gb Ram 4gb GPU and 512 GB ssd
950$ with 1tb hdd 5400 rpm 8gb ram and 2gb GPU -
As you can see here, the most expensive model, which is most probably maxed out is priced at 1649 USD. But look, it's 16GB with 512GB SSD AND the 4GB version of the GPU. And let's not forget to take the build materials into account (which I don't know yet). And besides, this probably isn't final either. You can view the page here ( Lenovo Y40 Laptop | 14" High-Performance Gaming Notebook PC | Lenovo (US)) but there's no button to get into that page anymore. -
I think people are really not noting the fact that only model #1 and #3 have the usual lenovo savings(200$) wich indicates that the other two models will have their prices loweted by the same ammount in the future(probably when they have a sufficient stock)
-
One thing, is there any benchmark or spec details for R9 M270 card? I can only find the R9 M265X/M290X or the R7 series.

I think everyone is discussing the new details...I.e discussing the prices as they are .....the point is...if the y50 is just slightly more expensive...the y40 is kinda expensive for what it offers (or the y50 is priced pretty Damn good)... it's the way you see it...I believe the y40 is nerfed in comparison to the y50...
not saying the y40 is bad laptop...it's great especially that you get an ssd at 1099....but it's just everyone's personal opinions right now right now
