    Thanks for the reply.
Interesting that you a ordered after me and received it so soon.
Must be my model number 59394173 with 512GB SSD that has something to do with it.
I have been monitoring my order on their tracking website which currently says expected delivery 12/27.
It has been pushed out 3 times and each time CS tell me that the date should not change from the current one.
I cant wait that long and quite honestly have lost faith in their ability to deliver.
    I just cancelled the order.

    * Placed order for Orange i7/8gb/256gb model on Lenovo site for $1199 on Oct 25
    * Original shipping estimate was 11/5 - it got rescheduled twice and the final was 11/18 shipping and 11/25 delivery

However, got a shipment confirmation email this morning (Nov 12), so I am expecting to receive it at the end of this week. Roughly 10 days before their final delivery estimate. Earlier than their final estimate, but later than their original estimate. Maybe the second shipment delay was a fake one, done so only to make users happier with early delivery :D

Mine just changed to what yours says! It used to say 11/22ship 12/03delivery, but now it has changed to 11/18ship 11/25 delivery. It must be coming on the same plane. So I'm happy. :)

So you ordered the exact same one as me on Oct 25th and I ordered it on Nov 4th, and we are getting them at the same time? weird. I thought that I have been waiting for a long time already, but you have been waiting even longer! Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Wow, the Y2pro is turning into a Unicorn! For new orders, it says "shipping in more than 4 weeks".

I would have been less patient and canceled the order, but I can't find anything comparable for the value it provides at this price point. I am buying it for being a good ultrabook and don't care so much that it has all these other modes, so that's just a bonus. I actually wanted an Asus Zenbook but found out that unlike last year they are selling it for much higher price than yoga.

Looking forward to start posting in the owners' thread on my new yoga!

Ordered this model on Oct. 26. Shipping bumped a couple times to "Ship 11/18, Delivery 11/25"

Received shipping notice this morning. Shipped today, delivery by 11/18.

I ordered mine on 10/18. Same system. No shipping confirmation. I'm happy for those of you who'll get yours this week, but I'm pretty disappointed. :(

Just wondering if Lenovo changed anything in their new batch. Can you post your observation on the yellow color displayed on Y2P screen (out of the box)?

Just wondering if anyone has a screen protector for smudges and such from touching, and if so, which ones do you recommend (if needed)?

Also, does the older Yoga keyboard cover still work for this new Y2P model?

    Cheers

I wonder too. I will definitely post observations on the key issues people have found, including how the yellows display.

I'm in the same boat. That zenbook was what I was waiting for too... until the prices started to show up. While it's specs are unmatched for an ultrabook, it's not $800+ better/faster than the Yoga. Plus the convertible is a nice bonus.

Seems all the companies are blowing it right now. Long delays between announcements and releases. Long delays between release and shipping. Some are priced way too expensive. Others having quality issues. Or maybe I'm just noticing it because I'm watching it so close. But still...

Same here. I ordered 10/17... But early this morning my shipping status date changed (again) from 11/14 to 11/12 (today!).

However, I got a follow up reply from customer service stating that the actual date is 12/6 and the status page isn't updated. So heck, I don't know. Frustrating!

I'm hoping I get a shipping email like some of you got today, but I'm assuming the worst.

That Dell XPS 12 i7/8GB/256GB from Costco for $1200 is looking really tempting. I just have to get over my issue with it's weird flip screen. The Surface Pro 2 is a consideration too.

I'm getting my information from Lenovo's "order status" page. So I'm assuming that you also have to get an email confirmation too or something?

Man, I don't know. But I had a big ol' scowl on my face when I read it 12/6. It was a chat and he followed up with an email later.... However it turns out he was wrong thankfully.

I just got my shipping email a couple hours ago. UPS says it'll arrive on Monday the 18th. Yay!

Looks like the order status page is the best place for info, not the support guys so much.

Oh, I did happen to stop by Best Buy to look at the Surface Pro and Dell XPS 12 and compare them to the Y2P. The Yoga is much slicker of a device. Really has a nice build quality. The shell (silver) had a grippy texture, quite nice. I think it was metal, but it was actually hard to tell. It's also not as bulky as the older Yoga I helped a friend buy a while back. The screen was really impressive... best screen I saw in the store. Super sharp and very retina-ish. It was screen-locked, so I didn't get to really look at the yellow issue, but from the lockscreen wallpaper I didn't notice.

There was also the Yoga 11s next to it. Not sure if it was the Haswell one or not. But the 11s, while smaller overall, seemed thicker and heavier than the Y2P. And none of the laptops I saw at Best Buy screens matched thethere was no comparison with the Y2P's higher resolution.

Problems that have been mentioned in this forum aside, it really looks like a nice system. I can't wait till Monday.

Nice! You are going to love that screen. You will never want to see a lower resolution screen on a PC after you experience a QHD.

My shipment label was created on Monday Nov 11th, and that's when I got the shipment email too. However UPS status only says that shipping label was created and it has not actually received by UPS yet. Is anyone else experiencing the same ? I am now bracing for further delays.....

Yep, same here. I'm in Canada and ordered on 10/25 through Lenovo Canada. I've got an email from Lenovo saying the item was shipped, but UPS says label was created but item not received yet. I wonder if it will ship from China?

I had a Surface Pro from Feb till a couple weeks ago when I sold it as I migrated away from my Retina MacBook pro to my Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro. The resolution is great but it can be a problem with many apps that don't scale well. If it weren't for the fact that the Surface Pro's keyboard options have absolutely horrible trackpads (I'm in IT and od a lot of remote work with my computer on my lap at home at night, trackpad is an absolute must) I would've returned the Lenovo to Best Buy and gotten the Surface Pro 2 just to make my job easier.

That being said, I certainly wouldn't have LIKED having to do that. But even on the Retina MacBook Pro I didn't run it at 2880x1800 most of the time. The biggest problem with the any resolution is that ultimately it's only as useful as the programs that you use that can work well with it. If you work 80% of the time with something that is absolutely horrible at QHD resolutions, there's little point in it. And some things aren't even working well when I drop the resolution down to a "normal" HD resolution.

Fortunately, the things that I do need 80% of the time I've got workarounds for. Even though I've still got 36 days or so before I have to decide to keep it or return it, I'm leaning towards keeping it. There's still nothing out there with these specs at a sub $1200 price point.

They are indeed being shipped from China and that's why i am worried and afraid that it will be delayed further. Lenovo's estimated delivery is 11/19 -- but for that to happen, it should at least be in UPS posession in China by now. I got another computer from Lenovo China a few years back and I remember it took about 4-5 days from the day it was on the UPS plane to be delivered to me.

Same here too. The delay for the tracking info is common... especially since it's coming from China.

When logged into UPS, you'll get more info on the tracking. It's being shipped "UPS World Ease." This involves grouping several shipments destined to one country into one unit as it goes through customs to speed up that process.

Be sure and signup for the UPS alerts so you get text/email notifications! :D

I have never waited so long for an item, but I know that it will be worth it. The Y2PRO is getting thumbs up from almost everyone, including CNET(which gave it an editor's choice award). I'm not surprised. Great specs at a much lower price point than the competition.

I checked official "Yoga 2 Pro - Hardware maintenance manual" from Lenovo support and there are two types of display with diferent rosolutions. First is 3200x1800 (actual) and second is 1920 x 1080. I attach a screenshot.

    yoga2pro_fullhd.png

And for comparing screenshot from Yoga 13 manual. There is only 1600x900 resolution. It is the current and the only.
    yoga 13.png

Does it means that maybe Yoga 2 Pro will come with fullHD display?

I was just on the Lenovo site looking for the i7 / 8GB / etc... model and didn't see any i7's Yoga 2 Pro's at all.

Does anyone know whose selling this model (if not Lenovo) ?

For those interested in the travel route of the shipments... here is the route mine is taking.
Louisville is UPS big hub: Worldport
I'm in the SF Bay Area, and it's estimated to get here on Tuesday the 19th.

Placed order for Silver i7/8gb/256gb model with a Lenovo rep for $1199 on 11/3 Shipping dates changed from 11/7 to 11/18 within a week. Now my update is delivery 12/27. One rep said that possibility it might ship earlier others say no.
Best Buy currently has this model same price. Were there any system fixes that warrants me to not cancel original order & buy from Best Buy.

I ordered the clementine i7, 8gb, 256gb version from Lenovo 5 November. Got a message yesterday to say it has been shipped. Not sure of the actual delivery date because it was ordered through a US forwarder. Hopefully your order ships well before the estimated shipping date. Seems to have been the case for a few posters on this forum. My understanding is that Lenovo don't make any fixes to the laptop before it's shipped. It should be exactly the same as the Best Buy models. Someone who already owns a Y2P can confirm this.

Lenovo bumped up the highest configured model from about $1,650 to $1,749. The price with the coupon code is still the same though, so I don't really understand what the point was.

I ordered the same model at the end of October. My dates also started being pushed out more and more with the last update being 12/27 as well. I called to cancel, they offered me $100 in accessories for the trouble. I cancelled anyway. I started losing faith in their ability to deliver.

    Good luck with yours.

I ordered the same configuration on Nov 4th(but the Clementine one) and I got a shipping confirmation email already. I have a tracking number too. Originally my order information page said 11/18 ship 12/2 delivery, but it changed to 11/15ship 11/22 delivery. Damn that sucks to hear about your situation. I think that you should have ordered the Clementine one.

Yes I should have gotten the Clementine. I'm jealous that your YP2 is on the way. Enjoy!! My dates have just changed again to ship 12/15 with 12/20 delivery. Which is better than 12/27 delivery, but still long ways off from a 11/7 & then the 11/18 delivery.
My status update has changed this morning from "On Order" to "Released to Manufacturing" Does anyone have any insights to this update or any timelines experience from "Released to Manufacturing" to a shipping date? Still on the fence of what to do. Cancel & order from Best Buy or hang on.

    Hi Mar2,

I am in the same situation, ordered i7, 256GB, Silver Y2P on 01 Nov, and dates got pushed from shipping on 11/7 (>11/18 delivery) to shipping on 12/15 (>12/20 delivery). Not sure what to do. But I think I would not cancel as there are not many products out there with the same price and Yoga modes capability.

Let's hope that Lenovo delivers earlier than 12/20.
