build/ship wait time??

I wish i would of, it took mine 6 days to get to in Illinois

 

I had the 9-cell and bluetooth so I imagine that is what caused the delay, it'll be worth it when your "Status" finally changes to shipped, hang in there .

6 days from shipped to arrival? that is a while .

 

Anybody have any info on their order status who ordered around the 3rd of August??????

just ordered a w500 on august 12. estimated ship date is august 26.

do the estimated ship dates typically represent the actual ship date with lenovo or just a maximum? should i expect it to ship any earlier?

 

For the new models, there's no real word on when they'll ship... My online EST is 8/27, but different sales reps tell me the date on their screen is 9/24 or something insane... My sales rep told me that it's marked as In Production though, and shouldn't take that long.

 

Mine is sitting in Kentucky due to customs I do believe, how long does this delay the package? It says Rescheduled Delivery: 8/13/08., does that mean that it is expected to be delivered by 8/13?

Now i want to do price match, but theres no bluetooth available to use in configuration so I cant do it because it wont be exactly the same thing and they wont accept a price match that isnt the same

 

exact same thing lol ours must be on the same plane

what does that mean....hopefully its just a customs thing that appears whenever this gets shipped from them. Still doesnt say its not gonna be here on the 13th

*Edit, I just talked to a guy on another forum who had ordered a laptop from Lenovo as well and he said that it delayed his shipment 3 days .

 

its been far too long, but it should be worth the wait

now I'll be able to use the printer memory and advanced minidock that I've had for 2 weeks

Also I can snip of SKU's and send in the rebates I was holding back on.

this shipping is extremely fast though...kinda crazy

 

I've been staring at the case, mouse and ram that I bought for it since the 29th. Oh well, as you said it'll be worth it in the end .

I ordered a w500 on 8/12. Lenovo order status website show estimated ship date to be 8/26. I called in to check order status and was told to expect it to ship the first week of September. Looks like i'll have to limp through the first couple of weeks of class on the desktop alone. Good thing i don't have English.

 

I ordered my T400 on Aug.5 and I got an est shipping date of 8/26 but I just called and they said about the 3rd week of September....this is stupid

 

I wouldn't be surprised if they start coming out in October.

I ordered on Aug 6, and it has not been shipped. The order statues is still "in process". I wonder when it will be shipped. Lenovo website shows the estimated ship date is Aug 20.
Description: T61, T8300, 14.1 WXGA+, GMA X3100, 2GB (1 DIMM), 250GB 5400rpm, DVD RW, 4965ANG, no blue tooth, 4 cell battery.

 

Ordered T400 on 5th Aug...estimated ship date 26 Aug....called them....they say 23rd (more likely to be Sept than Aug)

Yup, I called Lenovo and they said they also did not know the exact date of shipping.

 

Called Lenovo today and the rep said my estimated ship date was updated to August 23rd from September 19. I ordered on August 5th. Sept 19th sounded ridiculous to me.

 

That's good news, ordered mine early on the 5th also. I'll have to call in the morning and see if my date has been updated, last call (Tues) was week of 24th of September. I was really beginning to debate the wait, I can deal with another 2 weeks.

 

I ordered my T400 on 8/7, called today and said 8/24 too. So, it sounded like good news.

 

Well, my order has been delayed from 8/12 to 8/26 now. I ordered on 7/29. Classes are starting so, I suppose I better pull out the notebook again (as in, paper notebook).

mine finally shipped!!

i ordered on 28th of July and shipped on 13th-ish

they said there would be a factory delay till 21st, but i guess not!

 

I ordered on August 5, but I tweaked some spec on August 7, so the estimated shipping date pushed back to August 21. Is this guaranteed date?

 

Unfortunately no, they do their best to ship it out by then but there is no guarantee.

 

May i ask, what notebook did you order?

 

Ok, so I orders my t61 on 8/3 and had an estimated ship date of 8/18. So, today i called customer service and after waiting for 20 minutes I was told that my order was ontime and there were no part backlogs and would be ready for its estimated ship date for the week fo 8/24!!!!?? So i told the rep that my screen still said 8/18 and he said that it may or may not ship sooner, who knows?

Also i got my price updated becuase it was about 65 dolars cheaper and he said that they still have to charge me the full amount when my laptop ships, if it ever does and then in 8 to 10 buisness days I will get the 65 dollars back

I dont know what to think - I have regular shipping so I dont know if i will get this in time for school now what should I do if you were i my situation?? HELP

 

you should get it, I was told mine wasnt going to ship for a while but it ended up shipping sooner. Did u get 2 day shipping?

Ordered X61 on Wednesday 8/13, this afternoon 8/15, just recieved email that my order just shipped. WOW!

everything standard except upgraded to single dimm 2gb memory.

Im in southern california, do you know where my laptop is built and shipped from?.. i guess i can wait for detailed tracking info but... =)

I ordered a T61 on on 8/1 with an original ship date of 8/15, but that has been changed to 8/29...

 

no. I'm thinking about canceling my order and wait till black friday to see what I can get for my money. I can use my hp6113us in the mean time. The new dell latitudes looks pretty good too.

 

black friday...pretty much only retail stores which dont have business level laptops...no latitude...no thinkpads etc

just use cpp and get a wicked deal on a t61, much cheaper than a similarly equipped consumer/business level hp.

I don't wanna cancel my order because of waiting for so long time(from Aug 6 to Aug 18), and maybe shipping date could appear in this week. I didn't know what's wrong with Lenovo factory to result in many orders delayed.

 

I ordered on Aug 10th. I got emailed the order confirmation on the 10th and I haven't heard anything since then... so no sign whatsoever that they'll ship any time soon. I just hope I can get it before the new school term starts or i'll be pissed

 

Have anyone's x200 or other Aug 5th newly available units shipped yet? I had cancelled an x200 order a week ago because I wanted to wait for the TopSeller configurations which appear now to be due on August 27th. I ordered mine from shopblt.com for $1,132, and they anticipate receiving 36 units on August 27th and another 27 units on September 8th. Just curious to see who will be getting theirs soon and if there have been any further delays with Lenovo's built to order units.

 

Last word I got from Lenovo on my T400 was "it will be shipping the week of the 20th of August"... Not sure why he said 20th as it's a Wed, but should be leaving China this week. [fingers crossed]

 

Sweet. Ordered x61 last week on 8/13. Received shipped notice on 8/15. Today, 8/19 is out for delivery! yaay.
