build/ship wait time??

bering strait, which would explain all the delays...they are waiting for it to freeze over

 

Which part is having shortage causing your delay? 6 cells may be an issue, but I certainly ordered mine and it doesn't seem to be an issue as it is on its way to America.

I also ordered T400 with 9 cell through CPP on Aug 20th, but has no news yet. :-( I just got the second email few days ago regarding bill charge.

My estimated ship date is still 9/03/2008.

 

I just received my shipping notice today also.. ahead of time.
Ordered: 8/18
Original Estimated Ship Date listed on website: 9/1
Called earlier today (8/30) and was told by my rep that it would ship in the week of Sept. 8th.
A few hours after the call got confirmation of shippment 8/30.

So.. the moral of the story is, the reps have no clue about anything, the esd. listed on the website is quite accurate compared to the words of the csr (if it did not change like for some people)

 

Ain't it nice to be able to work from home at all?

My card's online statement shows a 'pending' charge for the right amount from 'Lenovo (UNITED STATES)' that hasn't cleared yet, it posted on the 30th, but it probably won't clear until monday. My credit union's funky like that.

 

I finally received the confirmation email. My computer shipped today (8/30) and I ordered it on 8/6 (T400, 2.4ghz, 2GB 1 DIMM, 6 cells, 160 gb 7200rpm). Better late than never!

Interesting. I checked against the credit card company, and they did not even find any pending charge yet from Lenovo. I am puzzled. I am not worried that they don't charge. I am more worried about how much they actually charge. They better stick to their end of deal, not charging one cent more

 

It shipped! T500 (9 cell) wasn't supposed to ship until Sept 19th. Ordered it on Aug 5th and it finally shipped! Now if only I could get the tracking numbers.....

 

Mine came in today but slightly disheartening.... have a stuck pixel right in the center of my screen

I couldnot find my scheduled deliver time on the UPS website, maybe now is too earlier. Also I noticed they used express, does that mean they have updated from ground shipping?

by the way, just to let you guys know, UPS express is really fast based on my experience

Any1 had their T500 shipped out yet? Lots of T400 shipping out it seems but not many T500.

 

I too got my shipment notification email (ordered 8/25). Strangely when I go to the website, the shipping date is still indicated as 9/8 and the process is "In status". I don't know what all this means but if the notebook has indeed been shipped I'm very happy.

 

I ordered T500 on the 21st. still nothing =[.

 

Still waiting on a T61. Ordered 7/29, originally estimated to ship on 8/12. After 5 delays, it is now expected to ship on 9/4. The issue, I am being told, is still the 9-cell battery shortage (which has been the reason, apparently, for the past 4 weeks).

I also placed an order for a T400 with a 4-cell battery on August 29, just in case the T61 is delayed... again.
