When is the T61 going to be released? Is the only difference the chipset used?

I wonder that too. By the way, does anyone know whether it is now possible to replace the CPU on the older T60s with a core 2 duo?

Replacing Processors on a laptop are one of the hardest (unlikely) pieces to replace. It will void the warranty no doubt.

Mhhmm, I'm on the way of join Lenovo community... what is the t61 a joke or the next generation of T60?
Well at the moment I'm looking for the 2007 FXG or the 1951 FDG but on Lenovo support site I'm unable to find news about the screen or keyboard.
Ok, they are similar but why my next T60 hasn't to be on the list?
I'll buy it in Europe and I have this specs

What an amazing site! Your input about the t60 keyboards have helped me so much.
I am very unsatisfied with my new t60 keyboard. It feels plasticky and dry, like chalk, and the clip is more shallow than my previous t42, which I loved.
I called Lenovo and spoke to three technicians, each terribly unhelpful. They insisted there was only one keyboard model and did not tell me about the nmb or alps options. As I am a writer and type all day long, this is not a small problem. If it wasn't for your site, I would be stuck.
would anyone know how to get an nmb keyboard? Also, would anyone guess which keyboard I now have--the ALPS or Chicony? The part number is 13N7053....
thank you
finally got my T60. First impressions !!
