If the "Story of Bryan Meyer's" is ever published, He will owe his success to you...

Another day, and my T61 order is still alive.
-
Mine is still alive as well....
ordered mine 5/28, thru the EPP deal along with an accessory on the same order which shipped yesterday so they can't now use the bad cc# excuse to cancel my T60..... -
my t61 order is still in process. things look ok.
-
Didn't Goren say one of his friends who used the Meyer deal already got their laptop?

"Eenie, meenie, mineyyyyyyyy....MOE!" -Lenovo Rep
Hopefully none of you are named Moe. -
My first order was canceled (see previous post)
My second order was also canceled (today)
Both times the reason was because of "a problem with your credit card"
I *am* shipping to a non-billing address, but the address is listed in my credit card profile. I also placed an order from Lenovo last fall with the same credit card shipped to the same non-billing address. I dunno what to make of this. -

they are probably happy to move older stock. Unfortunately, due to the T61 delays (whether intentional or not), lenovo is going to have more time to dig around. Doesnt make sense that some people are getting the cc error cancellation, which others are not.
-
Yes I ordered using the Meyer info. The first cancelled order was for the X60s and the second cancelled order was for the X61s. I didn't order a T61.
-
Credit card (or check card) transactions can sometimes be canceled for reasons that are obscure to us.
There's one time I was trying to order a book I saw on abebooks. I put the order in. Got canceled: card denied. It was with a check card so I checked that there's indeed money in the account. Tried again. Denied. Tried again, making sure all the digits are well entered. Denied. I contacted abebooks and they tell me that my card is probably flagged as valid only within the US. Since I was buying from a bookseller based in the US, I asked why that would have anything to do with anything. They said that yes, the bookseller is in the US but abebooks, which is located in Canada (I did not know that) is handling the transaction. (Abebooks is primarily a site that booksellers that are not "big names" can use to advertise their inventory of books to sell. It covers the world.) I had ordered from abebooks with that card without problem before so that came as a surprise but I hypothesized that there are probably booksellers that handle credit card transactions themselves and some that have abebooks handle it for them.
I called my credit union and yes, they said that it is usable only in the US. So I asked them to turn off that "feature", ordered again and bingo! The order went through.
I'm not suggesting that this is the same problem here but there can be reasons why a credit card transaction is canceled that are totally independent of whether the order was made with Meyer's information. -
Daily check: order still in process!
-
still good here as well.....
-
Mine is still good, I am letting it ride for now
-
mine is still good too. there is some hope!
still unsure about my warranty though. -
Where do you get this "Meyer" info? How exactly do you purchase on their website using EPP? How much of a discount is it?
-
-
It's 17 pages. I read the first page or two and someone mentioned typing in the meyer info so I jumped to the last page and read it. No I didn't read every page.
-
in short, its no longer posted online as it was asked to be removed.
-
It's Monday, and the order is still alive. WHOOOOOOO
-
my order is still alive as well......
-
no free shipping ??? so after comparing it's only a 50 buck diff with the epp and w/o it.
-
order still alive.......
dgcoupe.......your late to the party.....the savings at the time was huge......assuming they ship -
gjg you are checking every hour?
-
mine is still good. still says "in process."
-
why can't they just fix the shipping date!
mine still shows 8/30! -
Do you guys think i can try to use the meyer tonight?? is there a 21 day money back return if I am not satisfied like Hp has??
-
i believe with the Meyer EPP deal there are no returns of any kind
-
why is that?
-
-
i think if you ordred late may with meyers epp, and you dont see it by end of the month when others start getting theirs, then it aint happenin. so the wait wont be months, unless it is for everyone else who ordred T61s
-
true, but i don't NEED a laptop right now, so if it comes, great, if it doesn't, i'll just get another one sometime down the road.
i'll just be sure to order my lenovo 4 months before i need it -
How long should the wait for an X60 (1.83,512mb,100gb 7.2K, etc...) be? Already going on a week...
-
itll be ready before Thanksgiving
-
another optimist!
-
i just place an order using meyers wonder whats going to happen??
-
-
what are the worries some of u guys are having seems like soem are regretting using meyers
-
Hmm... there's been a few reports that the Meyer orders were going to be canceled but I'm not sure that we got positive proof that cancellation because the Meyer name and serial were used is in fact happening.
-
I used to have a serial and name of a guy that worked at IBM. He still works there but since I had decided to go with an Apple, I think I tossed his info. I still work with his wife but unfortunately we don't talk anymore and now I want a ThinkPad, go figure. Anyone wanna send me the info so maybe I can get a good deal on a ThinkPad?
If not, I will just see if Mrs. Martin will give me her husbands serial number (but I seriously doubt it.) -
-
received a portion of my meyers order yesterday.....
order for my t60 flexview is still "In process"!!! -
Found it...god I love google! lol

For now the Meyer stuff but if I find the other, I will let certain people know. Ya know, the kind of people that can help me...
