whats your X61 estimate ship date?

x61 ordered 6/18 ... esd 7/19 .... i hope mine doesn't show up early cause im going to be gone till the 16th and there won't be anyone to sign for it

 

Wow... That's a REALLY late ESD.... I guess late-June orders are getting even later ESDs...

 

My ship date estimator predicts yours will ship on the 12th, so getting to your door on the 16th would be perfect...

 

FYI, just got off the phone with a supervisor after threatening to cancel my order. She agreed to the give me the supposed "maximum" discount she could on this of $100.

However, she also said she talked with their production department. The problem for the x61 is that they can't get enough screens. She said it would realistically be July 22 at the earliest before my order is shipped out. I ordered June 7th.

I took the discount, which should bring my final price down to $900 and change after all discounts (tailormade, fatcash).

My original order date was June 7th and ESD was June 26th.

 

if I couldn't get my x61s till next week, I'll cancel it. and maybe I'll rebook sometime in future.

You probably won't get it if you email. If you call up and say that that you would like to cancel your order, they will ask you why. Tell them the delay is unreasonable and that the laptop is critical for your business or school or whatever. Then say, if you can knock $100 off my price, I will hold off on canceling. They CSR won't be able to ok this, but a supervisor will call you back. Your mileage may vary, but it worked for me.

 

umm how does the 100$ work anyway? because if they cancel and reorder my notebook, my fatwallet money will not work.

 

so I live in Canada....I guess it's an awfully bad time to buy an X61/61s right now? It would only ship in august? that's pathetic...

Ordered 6/28 (yesterday), EST 7/31.

Hopefully they have the kinks out and it will be faster than that.

 

FYI, I canceled my order today. The cancellation department, which is in the US, was telling me that they were getting a ton of cancellations because of the shipping delays. I suspect these delays are going to dramatically effect Lenovo's bottom line. They probably have hundreds of half built laptops with no screens.

Anyway, I'm sticking with the Dell 1210 that arrived the other day (in 3 business days from order). While it's heavier, it's a well built machine. And surprisingly, I'm finding that I actually like Vista (I'll go wash my mouth out with soap).

 

i canceled my order as well. original order was placed on 6/1/07, after 1 corrupt order, 2 rebookings and now this delay, i ordered an m1330 instead.

 

Anyone else think we should be getting offered freebies?

Why is my second ESD so much later than other people who ordered later than me??

 

i called today and threatened to cancel my order (order date 6/7, est1 6/27, est2 7/30) and she said yea sure no problem i'll cancel your order. i stopped her just in time . she added that the laptop will be shipped ~ third week of july after two days ago somebody told me it will arrive next week.

she didn't flinch one bit, man. she either realized i was bluffing or lenovo customer service representatives have become resigned at the deluge of cancellations and angry customers and they are not even trying anymore.

i am going to try tomorrow again. i hope they don't keep track of the calls on the order

 

hehe please let us know it works or not. i probably will do that if it work.
anyway, i still worry about fatwallet cash back if they lower the price. because the money they charge my card will be different than the % cash back I received.

 

I ordered a Lenovo X61 tablet PC on June 8th and I have nothing yet. My estimated ship date is July 11th.

My ThinkPad X61 tablet finally shipped today, 3 weeks and 3 days after I ordered. I updated my signature with specifications (I upgraded the RAM aftermarket).

 

I just got word that no X61 will be shipped until August.
This sucks.

 

I think they do. I had a T60 order that, the day after the order the estimated ship date moved out to 4 weeks (instead of the advertised 1-2 weeks), I called to cancel. And then I called every day thereafter for a week trying to get them to release the hold on my credit card. They looked at the log and they showed each call each time I called.

 

Congrats! This gives the rest of us hope that Lenovo is still fulfilling orders...

Ordered 6/22.
Estimated ship date: 7/24
Actual ship date: Today, 7/2.

SXGA+, 7200rpm 100 Gig,1G RAM 1DIMM,1G Turbo memory.

Thought it might be comforting to know that the x61's should be shipping -- the x61 (not tablet) I ordered May 31st just got shipped today (July 2nd).

weird stuff happened today with my order. My ship date changed to 7/20/07. Was 7/16 yesterday. But weirder than that, I got another email thanking me for an order and my price changed - its $50 lower. Very weird.

Yes, very weird today indeed!

I checked my order status this morning and the ship date was changed from 7/16 to 7/20 (just like the poster above).

However, my price changed from $968.19 to $1050!!!

Needless to say, I wasn't very pleased. I just checked again now and my price is back at $968.19. WTF?!

Additionally, I have not received an email from Lenovo telling me that my ship date has changed.

 

Order Date 5/31, ESD 8/10 - I think I have the worst ESD yet... and it has been that way since my first ESD of 6/19 slipped.

Almost a 3 month wait for a 3,000$ laptop, I am starting to think I am crazy for even waiting for this company... they should not have started taking orders if they could not fulfill them in a matter of months! They don't even deserve to have my money. Still waiting until I can come to my senses... which may be soon.

X61 Tablet w/ Multitouch, AT&T WAN, Ultrabase, pretty much the highest specs offered... Only thing I didnt go for is the turbomemory which is useless imo...
