They also said those are the major categories that people fall into, but not the only categories. Your c & d items are covered in this statement:

Lets remember the title of this thread: "who else think it's disgraceful the way Lenovo is treating recent customers?"
What about the way we are treating each other? Come on people! Let's not let Lenovo drive a wedge between us. Let's stick together. Kumbaya? -
@ furrycute and crxtreme - That's the spirit!
-
Lots of hugs and kisses.

If your a guy we'll just shake hands or do the one armed hug.
-
P.S. Phewww... what a relief... -
Yeah that's probably best. Especially if you are furry and cute.

UPDATE: Lenovo rep says end of june my order will ship!! I ordered on may 11th!!! I don't know how much longer I can take this! -
the keebler elves told me they are whipping up a batch right now and it will ship in 27 hours exact. <--about as accurate as lenovo reps
-
jd1010 - i don't know if it made a difference with mine being a t60p and a t60. i think the only difference really was my screen size and graphics card. its all amazing either way what has happend.

Perhaps a Slashdotting etc. can put some public pressure on Lenovo to at least be more honest to its customers.
-
how would one go about doing this?
unfortunately, as we've seen, threatening Lenovo with bad PR might be the only solution.
heck, they'd probably try to make it good PR by hooking us all up! -
If you all go to http://www.lenovoblogs.com/insidethebox/ they posted some crap about it all. Also they are sending out these emails saying they're offering a free battery (only applicable for R61 and T61 models), bag, or adapter.
-
I think im just going to buy it from a retailer. I found one that is the same price as the visaperks version from pacificnotebooks.com. Anyone know about this site/company and if its any good. They're offer free RAM upgrade which is awesome

Free stuff is how they treat you. -
Battery of the three, but to echo someone else, a dock would've been nice.
Bag and adaptor are too small an offering, IMO. -
If we get the extra battery is there a way to charge it without sticking it into the laptop? If that's the case in can come in handy for long trips ands stuff. Otherwise I don't see the point in having an extra battery. I'd probably just sell it on ebay.
-
You can charge one while you sleep.
Seriously though, is there an external charger for this battery? I know such things have been made for ThinkPads before.
Aha!
Incidentally, I'd sooner take any of those items over another battery. I'd get more use out of them. -
i'll just sell it on ebay...it'll be like a 100 rebate. So in the end i'll probably have paid 1,400 total for a thinkpad and a 2 month wait. Not SO terrible.

they totally should have also offered to add 1 year or 2 years of extended warranty. i mean it doesn't cost them anything upfront, and if the computers are as good as they claim to be, chances are they won't be servicing it anyways. unless of course... they aren't as confident in hte T61 as we thought.
by the way, is the critical team reply email working yet? last i read, the address was bouncing. -
My dad's computer shipped (T60 ordered May30). Mine did not (T60p ordered May21). I definetly think they need to have a much larger compensation factor. A $50 product for a system built at over $2000 is like offering pennies. Besides, I'm nervous that with all the uproar and drama from this, that they will sloppily throw it all together and send out crap systems. Bugger hell. Frustrated.

These computers aren't made by hand so I don't see how this ordeal would really effect the quality of the computers. They're being made by machines and each one is using the same components. It's not like they can rush and not rush making a computer. Anyway, you're protected by a 1 year warranty and can add to that if you'd like.
What's insulting to me is hearing about all these people ordering weeks after me recieving their computers already. I don't know if the 6 cell battery makes up for the delay and the jealousy of seeing people who have ordered after me and have received them already. -
I'm really getting sick of this. I have to fax them documentation of my original order because they changed the specs on me in a downgrade and didn't change the price.

I ordered my x60s on 6/22/07.... the shipping dates have changed 4 times. The salesholes are clueless giving the standard answers off their monitors. I did finally get a rep to call me after 6 weeks to tell me my order "was stuck in the system". I used Bill Me Later... which I have used many times before. My order was "re-ordered" with a "high priority"....(whatever). I was promised a firm ship date 2-3 days after re-ordering and after 7 business days I still have NOTHING. I emailed the rep who reordered it and now he sounds like every other saleshole I talked too... standard BS answers to placate me. Now even he is not returning my emails. I wonder why. I guess I am just an ass who ordered a laptop from them actually expecting it to ship out. What was I thinking? Thanks Lenova... for nothing. (I ordered direct from them to get 2 gigs RAM because it was the cheapest way of doing it as no other site had 2 gigs of RAM or they were outrageously priced.)
Again... thanks for nothing Lenovo. The Drs at the clinics I work for laugh every time I see them becasuse of my invisible notebook... just thought I would let you know that Lenovo is the laughing stock of our company. -
Since this thread has been brought up, I'd just like to say that I've received nothing but top notch service from Lenovo. From dealing with a pricing mistake, returns and replacement, all of it was done very smoothly, and in good time. First computer shipped 5 days after ordering, second 2 days.
who else think it's disgraceful the way Lenovo is treating recent customers?
