In the description of some shops stands that vista comes pre-installed and LG includes a xp pro medium.

keep in mind those german prices have 20% VAT included. Availability is listed for next week so user impressions should come in soon!

No, it says they will get a P310 in the next weeks and then review it, which takes them 2-3 weeks normally.

    note of caution:

people are getting all excited about the 9600M GT as if it were a great step up from the previous 8600M GT.

the 8600M GT has 32 shader and a 128bit memory bus like its desktop cousin
the 9600 GT desktop part has 64 shaders and a 256bit memory bus
the 9600M GT is just a .065u die shrink version of the 8600M GT

so yes, it is a bit cooler and possibly marginally faster, but in no way can it be compared to the desktop part of the same name.

No, 9600M GT is also significantly higher clocked than 8600M GT and benchmarks of laptops that already have it show a good deal of improvement.

The LG P300 also had 8600M GS with 16 shaders so in the 13'' segment, this graphics card is a huge upgrade and something to get excited about.

That said, it's nowhere near the 9600 GT desktop part, true.

my mistake, reading this thread i didn't realise the old model shipped with the 8600M GS rather than GT.

    Hi,

one member of the notebookjournal.de forum asked Lg for further information.
The answer of LG Germany contained among other things the MSRP which is 1500 €. As usual I think the price will be less than 1500 €. I am really excited about this mobile computer and cannot expect the launch :)

    Happy Waiting ^^

I really hope they sell this in Canada to knock the current p300's price down a few hundred bucks.

a pity neither P300 nor P310 is sold with anything else than a german keyboard atm on german marchants. Even notebook.de fails to propose alternative keyboard layouts through one of their (expensive) options.

    lol dude :D

This p310 sounds awesome, I hope it's priced right though, but I doubt it will be considering what I saw at futureshop here in Canada in store for the 8400M model ($1500ish). That is M860TU Money!!!, are they mad? If it were $1200ish, I'd grab one for the short term and build a desktop and such down the road :)

well thats not really surprising since future shop over prices the majority of their laptops/computers (they have a bad price : performance ratio)

true but price also comes from the size, smaller laptops are often more costly than equally spec'd 15" laptops. That and LG always seems to be higher priced than the competition.

However after comparing the p300 to the other laptops at Futureshop, I think the p310 looks like a $1799 kind of computer but it would be worth it, in my humble opinion of course.

LG's own website seems very unreliable. For the lower end model, they indicate a 'T8600' CPU. AFAIK, only the P8600 exists.

Also, the higher end model shows a T9400 but the more likely CPU is the P9500.

The shiny black lid you lucky folks in Germany get looks really nice.

Edit: The higher end model number is P310-SP 94K, so maybe it really is a T9400? However, Cyberport.de indicates a P9500. Confusing.

I think it's a mistake on the shops webpage. Lg mentions DDR3 and GDDR3 in the their price list at least for the model they offer in germany.

Back on topic: Lower specced version of LG P310 (with GeForce 9300M GS 256MB) is starting to show up at Swedish online retailers but is not available yet.
