LG P310 is being reviewed atm by Notebookjournal.

Expect full review this week. -

note of caution:
people are getting all excited about the 9600M GT as if it were a great step up from the previous 8600M GT.
the 8600M GT has 32 shader and a 128bit memory bus like its desktop cousin
the 9600 GT desktop part has 64 shaders and a 256bit memory bus
the 9600M GT is just a .065u die shrink version of the 8600M GT
so yes, it is a bit cooler and possibly marginally faster, but in no way can it be compared to the desktop part of the same name. -
The LG P300 also had 8600M GS with 16 shaders so in the 13'' segment, this graphics card is a huge upgrade and something to get excited about.
That said, it's nowhere near the 9600 GT desktop part, true. -
my mistake, reading this thread i didn't realise the old model shipped with the 8600M GS rather than GT.

Hi,
one member of the notebookjournal.de forum asked Lg for further information.
The answer of LG Germany contained among other things the MSRP which is 1500 €. As usual I think the price will be less than 1500 €. I am really excited about this mobile computer and cannot expect the launch
Happy Waiting ^^ -
I really hope they sell this in Canada to knock the current p300's price down a few hundred bucks.
-
a pity neither P300 nor P310 is sold with anything else than a german keyboard atm on german marchants. Even notebook.de fails to propose alternative keyboard layouts through one of their (expensive) options.
-
i emailed notebook.de and they said they could provide it with english keyboard, delivery time of about 2 weeks.
-
This morning I emailed them too about qwerty and other keyboards layout on the P310 model and here is their answer :

man, this looks like it will be an epic notebook...I can't wait...does anyone know if it will have XP driver support like the p300?
-
it comes with XP, so it should have driver support. i've ordered it, hope to get it this week.
-
How can you order it if LG didnt even release information on the global site ?
-
-
-
Ordered the notebook from actebis its a B2B it-distributor. the shipment is expected for tomorrow, they are usally very reliable.

This p310 sounds awesome, I hope it's priced right though, but I doubt it will be considering what I saw at futureshop here in Canada in store for the 8400M model ($1500ish). That is M860TU Money!!!, are they mad? If it were $1200ish, I'd grab one for the short term and build a desktop and such down the road
-
-
true but price also comes from the size, smaller laptops are often more costly than equally spec'd 15" laptops. That and LG always seems to be higher priced than the competition.
However after comparing the p300 to the other laptops at Futureshop, I think the p310 looks like a $1799 kind of computer but it would be worth it, in my humble opinion of course. -
If the new P310 is anything like the P300 it will be worth EVERY penny... dont worry

Looks like the LG korea website have the specification up already:
http://www.lge.co.kr/cokr/product/c...ecat3252&catid=ecat3252&mnid=prod000100010037
Anyone know whether the 9600m GT would be the GDDR2 or the GDDR3 version? -
graphics will have full speed gddr3

My delivery was postponed to next week, hope to get it then. -
Am I the only one to notice the german version comes with ddr2 ram and the one listed on the LG korea website seems to indicate it uses ddr3-1066 ram?
-
LG's own website seems very unreliable. For the lower end model, they indicate a 'T8600' CPU. AFAIK, only the P8600 exists.
Also, the higher end model shows a T9400 but the more likely CPU is the P9500.
The shiny black lid you lucky folks in Germany get looks really nice.
Edit: The higher end model number is P310-SP 94K, so maybe it really is a T9400? However, Cyberport.de indicates a P9500. Confusing. -
Anyone know if the P310 has an internal mini PCI slot to accommodate a mobile wireless wan card?
-
-
, Surley thats going to get pretty hot, do you think they're just going to underclock the GPU to keep it cool?
Thats freaky insane power in a tiny shell... I agree its lunacy -
can't wait to get one
I don't really like my Sony Z -
-
Highly recommend the LG - very sturdy product.
-
-
What are the chances of getting one of these if you live in the states? With the English keyboard?
-
Probably will hit Canada first.
-
Does this have a TPM chip?
-
LakerFan, who's the girl in your avatar? LoL sorry to get off topic
I want that picture

I thought that it was a picture of LakerFan... or a projection of how LakerFan wants to look

Back on topic: Lower specced version of LG P310 (with GeForce 9300M GS 256MB) is starting to show up at Swedish online retailers but is not available yet.

I'm a little hesitant with the LG brand. Not sure about laptops, but I've had nothing but frustration with LG phones.
-
so when was the eta on this laptop again?
