Sandforce is merely a controller technology, there is no reason it is not compatible with a certain chipset.

The C300s are known to have somewhat higher temps due to the extra NAND and disabling LPM also increases the temps, so they probably are a bad choice to run in thin, restricted platforms.

Otherwise, I am personally not a fan of SF as they are deemed to be very unreliable. I would take an Intel G2 over SF any day.

But just to ask, are the P330s equipped with SATA III?

With me its enough fast for storage and games, OS is on Intel 310 mSata 80gb SSD. Big point was that it works, cant say 100pros sure for OCZ Vertex tms SandForces :/

I have a question for the happy owners of this laptop.
Has anyone tried to connect to an external TV or projector with a 120 Hz? (stereo games working?)

    Galim,

Did you get your M4 working? Anyone else have any other brands of SSD HDD's working? I saw Makro had an Intel working, what about Samsung?

Yes, stero gaming works. I've only tested streaming a BD 3D movie and it activated the 3D on my VT20E just fine. It was far from watchable though since I was using wireless.

Hey a quick question for those who have swapped out their drives. I tried taking the back off of mine to check out the drive and I think I found all the obvious screws including:

2 under the rubber feet at the front of the laptop
    3 under the battery
    1 in the ram bay.

The back seem to require a lot of force to start getting it popped off, Im wondering if I missed a screw somewhere.

    Thanks!

Yeah, that bottom needs so much force to open. There are 15 screws. Try first pop up it on VGA plug place with your credit card, then with minus tool pop up right up corner, then left up corner. I mean all those corners first then its almost easy thing :)

Btw, I swapped just a couple of minute mine 2x4Gb rams to these: 2x " CMSO8GX3M1A1333C9" And it works fine. Now I have then 16Gb ddr3 sodimm ram :D

You guys asked power, it is 90W and I have replaced that too. I ordered a month ago this one: http://www.amazon.de/Lepa-AD9009-No...QT5A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1328201873&sr=8-1 I can recommend that because it so small and light for this little Lappy :p

    Thanks Marko,

That was the trick! Once I got the right corner by the VGA connector up the rest of the back came up a lot easier (credit card idea came in handy!).

Did anyone with the P330 update the drivers? When I download the Nvidia exe to update it states it can't find any hardware to update. Anyone know what's up with this? I have the appropriate download (64bit, 500 series etc..).

I have been the same problems today and my suggest is this:
Download this: http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7-winvista-64bit-290.53-beta-driver.html----Run it normal after downloaded- You notice that you cant install it...
Then download this: Drivers | laptopvideo2go.com and there "modified INF file"'
Then put this INF file to your Nvidia--- "Display.Driver" folder. After this you can run normal Nvidia---Setup.exe
    =)
This is the clean install with Driver Sweeper

OK thanks, seen it on EBay.
Thanks, can someone post a closeup pic of the keyboard, just wondering if KOREAN symbols are going to be a problem on some keys.
Lastly better performance on most new games i5 2 core or i7 Quad?
Thinking the i5 could be better.

I ran a test this morning with the SSD's I have here.

    mSata

128GB MyDigital SSD - Recognized in bios and attempted to boot (boot disk pulled out of my y570)

    SSD HDD

Crucial C300 - Recognized in bios, got a no boot disk found when it tried to boot (this is the OS disk out of my x120e).

Kingston SSD Now V - Recognized in bios, again got a no boot disk found this is a data disk I keep in an external enclosure.

    Update:

After I put the C300 back in the X120e the X120e would no longer boot, got a OS not found. Im re-imaging it at the moment.

Uhh this wlan card is pissing me off. Have updated it to latest driver version 3.2.7.0 but it still keeps disconnecting very often and its way too slow.

Don't know it's because of my router or the ralink card. The router hasn't given any problems with other machines, but then again the ralink card only has problems with my router. When connected to other networks it works fine. So i think it's a driver issue but then you guys would have problems too.

When pinging a random server every 5-10 seconds i get a "request timed out". All other request take too long 100ms - 500ms.

If you can access the card, disconnect and reconnect the antenna wires. I've had that issue with laptops before and it was just a bad connection.

Had the same problem and this fixed it for me as well. Unfortunately this means one will be limited to G speeds (at least on Netgear routers, but I assume this is a limitation to the encryption method itself). Replacing the network card is not a bad idea. As far as I know no one has tested that yet though.

Unfortunately this driver did not improve the situation. Not all that surprising considering it's only a slighly outdated version (3.2.7.0, 11/14/2011) compared to the one you'll get through LG Intelligent Update (3.2.8.0, 11/23/2011). With version 3.1.18.0 my connection is stable, but much slower than the latest driver even though I'm forced to use WPA on the latter.

Hi guys! Finally I sold my m14x took a shot and bought the LG P330 UE40K with an additional battery from ILOVENOTEBOOKS! Its a matter of a week until its here, im so excited I cant wait ^^ Now I will just have to see what the customs do, probably I have to pay extra -.-

But as soon as I get the p330 I will take some nice pictures and write up a few words on it! I have been reading this forum for Months, even before I got the m14x, and this was the reason why I hesitated getting the m14x at all.. As soon as ndevil reported on it I even checked the LG booth at the IFA (electronic expo in berlin) for the p330 but no one knew about it! Then it seemed like this notebook was vapourware but we all know its was only released in s. korea

Even now I was a bit skeptical since ivy bridge and 28nm GPUs are right around the corner, but I highly doubt anything similiar will come out in the next 6 months even though there are some rumours about the mobile 600m series, but who knows if there is anything under 14 inches that packs a punch like the p330 ^^

I made the mistake on missing out on the envy 14 with radiance display (in germany extremely rare) already (and 5650 gpu which is good) and I wont do it again this time :)

I got the 1102 today and just put it in and its working fine. I just changed my wireless security back to WPA2 and will see if I have any disconnects throughout the day. One thing to keep in mind, the Killer's do not have bluetooth so you will lose bluetooth on the laptop.

Yes, but you can't do it through bluetooth since the G700 isn't a bluetooth device. You'll have take the regular usb reciever route.
