I did play the beta over the server test weekend and I was more than happy with the performance. It's nice to be able to tale the computer with me and play co-op with some friends and still be able to bike over.

I have read all the threads but can't remember if there is a guide anywhere on how you change the msata catche to a 120 gb ssd? Also I'm planing to buy another 4 gb of memory, does it need to be the same brand? Thanks in advance if anyone takes the time to answer :)

Also there the P330 or a alienware laptop is like comparing pears with oranges. If you go for the equal light mx11 you will have a low voltage processor and a much worse graphics card, if you go for the 14 inch it's not in the same league when it comes to portability. (but better components). I did change from a 11.6 inch Lenovo u160 and I can easily live with the P330 instead even do I always bring my computer with me (student). But I guess that this have been discussed 1000 times ;)
Also, anyone how knows where you can buy the spare battery (Korea)?
    Best regards

Changing your mSata storage is a plug-and-play operation, so I'm afraid there's no guide available. I'm sure you'll figure it out on your own once you have access to the port. The RAM module doesn't have to be the same brand, but I would try to get one with equal or better latencies so that it doesn't perform worse (not that it matters much).

Thanks for the answer! What I was hoping to find is someone that did take pictures or made a YouTube video taking it apart to change the drive. Always makes me feel better before I start doing it myself :)

    LG P330 Disassembly Tutorial

First off I will start by apologizing for the bad shape of the photographs used in this tutorial. They were taken with my phone under bad light conditions. This tutorial may not be as comprehensive as you might have wished for, but it should at least give you an idea of how to disassemble your beloved P330.

Just about every disassembley tutorial starts off with removing the power connector, turning over the laptop and removing the battery, and this one is no exception. You will also have to remove the two rubber pads in the front of the laptop as there are screws hidden beneath them. The glue used is fairly strong, so don't be afraid to apply a bit of force.

The next step is to unscrew all the visible screws.

Once you've removed the RAM bay plastic cover you will discover yet another hidden screw that needs to be removed in order to proceed with removing the bottom. After that you can start said process. I would recommend starting by pulling the left, upper corner of the laptop towards yourself as you can more easily hold the aluminium frame in place here by pushing it down where it covers the ethernet port. The frame is thicker over the ethernet port. Once you've gotten the left corner to seperate from the aluminium frame you need to work your way to the right by pushing the plastic taps out of the aluminium frame to lift it even further. Eventually the battery compartment should also be completely seperated from the outer frame, leaving the right corner as the final thing that needs to be lifted in the back of the laptop. Keep pulling the bottom tray towards yourself until it's no longer attached to the frame.

Voilà! You now have easy access to the components of your laptop that are replaceable.

Thanks for your kind words! Really though, I think it shows a bit too many signs of being thrown togheter quickly. In particular I wish I had a photo I could use to better explain the removal of the bottom tray. Good luck! :)

This would probably be a good time to point out that there's an extra antenna in that picture (not that the placement is a good example of how you should install one). I didn't have a picture of my inernals without the Killer 1103 installed.

Hey, I got a call form the guy yesterday and they changed the motherboard. He said that it died due to some light or laser(?) welding breaking. It should arrive today or Monday. Took ages but at least we now know beyond reasonable doubt that we do in fact have warranty.

Question now, What was the conclusion over switching the SSD again? Would a Crucial 256GB m4 work? It is 2.5", would it fit? And what is the process of moving the whole operating system over to it? There is a good deal on Amazon at the moment that I want to take advantage of.

    Amazon.com: Crucial 256 GB m4 2.5-Inch Solid State Drive SATA 6Gb/s CT256M4SSD2: Electronics

Not sure on the Crucial, Im using an 300gb Intel 320 for data and a 120gb runcore msata for OS and they are both working fine.

It fits but it doesn't work. For some reason our P330s don't seem to like SandForce based SSDs. A bios update might fix this in the future. Please refer to the front page of the owner's thread for a list of tested SSDs.

When I contacted L support, they organized a pick up for the laptop from my office. A courier picked it up and it got sent out to Sidney (I live in Brisbane Australia). It was there for months. I got a call from the repair man who said that they ordered the motherboard from Korea. Are you sure about no warranty though? I got told from the website that since I purchased it in Korea, I had no warranty, but once I called them, they were happy to fix it. Didn't even require a receipt.

Pretty dodgy that your motherboard died too. Hopefully it was only a small batch.

Edit: also, thanks for the link Convel. I didn't know there was an owners thread.

so there are 3 antennas already?? Oh I thought there were only 2

EDIT: Okay im stupid :) You installed a 3rd one

So im about to disassemble my p330, but I have several questions.. How can I be sure not to destroy the notebook through electric static from my hands? Do you have any safety precautions you would advise me?

And did you glue the rubber things back on or do they just stay even without glue?

Im quite nervous about disassembling my p330, I dont want to break anything or void my warranty
