kdemod, sorry for not mentioning~

Well, I'm using Ubuntu for now since I can't get my wireless working well anywhere else. Here's what I settled on after finding Nodoka-Midnight. It's the first dark gtk engine/theme that doesn't have some little thing that drives me crazy, so I'm pretty excited about that

That's gorgeous.
-
I like it
I give myself a week before I decide I need to change it (and get sick of Ubuntu) Actually, Fedora is really interesting me for once, if my wireless works well. -
May I recommend the Ubuntu Studio 7.04 theme? I'm using it, and it's REALLY awesome!

Since MEPIS 8 has come back with a bang, here is a 'stock' screenshot sans the Flock icon in panel:

Ok, here's my e17 desktop on my tiny Dell screen

:O
wow, slight understatement there
-
It looks like a milk spill on a black table
....
-
Ely....it looks much better in person....

Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex 8.10
Ubuntu Dust + Compiz + Dust Firefox theme.
I think it's quite nice

not bad, though I have to wonder why ubuntu users insist on using the cube to show off their desktop... makes it a lot harder to see how well the theme works
-
I dunno really, just looks cool I guess.
Ahh well, here's another

Looks good Thomas!

Would you prefer them using the sphere instead?
-
If it's not an inverse octagon, it ain't nothin'.....
-
That would be compiz users
and what other way would we do it.
Themes are getting to the point where you need to have desktop video threads, not screenshot threads. -
How do you get the widget thing on the right? I'm new to Linux, so go slow.
Love the wallpaper. Link? -
I-t-'-s c-a-l-l-e-d c-o-n-k-y.

Haha, very cute. Guess I had that one coming
After a little research, I got mine done.

There ya go, hehe, I'm using the Ubuntu Dust Theme if you want to know that. -
Thank you very much.
-
Heres mine updated. The last one I had I didn't like so much. Thanks again Thomas for the Wallpaper link.
P.S: Was to big to upload, go figure.
P.S.S: I HATE Photobucket, took me like 9 times to get the picture to look right.
P.S.S.S <-- No, I'm not kidding: And yay, 200th Post! BooYa! -
Oh, hey, the wallpaper looks brilliant. Where did you get the wallpaper?
-
-
Thanks!

Yeah, I think I play video games too much...
I have to turn off my fancy stuff to run steam. It's kind of lame.Attached Files:

-
Steam? Native on Linux already? I thought they were still in development?
-
Wine
Actually, I got crossover when they were giving it out free. Crossover just uses the wine files to install windows apps. It's a fairly easy process just using wine. Runs about the same as on my vista partition. As of yet, no mic support or AA. -
Ahh.. You'll have to play around with the winecfg. There's a part about letting the destop manager control your windows or something.
-
Weird. I can get it to pop up with every tab except for the games tab. I can open it in another tab and switch to the games tab though.
-
tab? You lost me at "t"
-
Hahah. I mean the different tabs on the steam window. Store, Community, Games, Media...
If I right click the panel icon the tab list comes up. You click one and it opens steam on that tab. It won't open on the games tab.
It's just being generally glitchy...sometimes it comes up right, sometimes it doesn't. If it to not be touched by my window manager the opacity gets turned up to where it comes up almost invisible. Oh well, I usually turn off fancy effects to game anyways. -
Hehehe... Steam is like that. Ever seen the .gifs with the Steam loading something?
-
Hahaha, yeah. Steam is buggy enough in windows. Can't expect it to be better in wine.
-
May the Force be with you, Jedi Knight Bill. You'll probably see Yoda die from old age before Steam loads.
-
There's plenty of windows software running far better under wine than under native windows.
But hey, if I'd be a windows program, I'd rather run under wine, too.
-
how did u get all those widgets? (like the calendar and weather)
are they yahoo widgets? -
I'm pretty sure it's Screenlets.
EMZ=] -
Captain, there be Screenlets here!
-
