I did some search, there r several ways to do that. using devilspie, compiz, or just use another terminal call tilda(easiest)... tried using compiz, but some how it made my conky disappeared .. i will try devilspie later

So the conky thread was a no go. Someone has to appreciate the time I spent figuring out how to do all this. The most time was the gpu clocks.
I left out all the formatting code. Just giving you the juicy parts.

Debian Testing is FAST!

But I love the desktop. Very clean and classy. Not exactly Christmas, but you are in GA.
What's the Gnome button in the corner do, if anything?
Oh, and that's one LONG minimized bar. -
It's not a Gnome button lmao, It's a button for Plasma, KDE 4's widget system. -
I see. I should've thought about that a few seconds....KDE, Gnome.

VERY old screenshot, but still a goodie:

LOL.......there's some FF specific options in System Settings, also look at the GTK options there.
-
yeah, need to get a gtk theme
-
You can get QT to do the actual drawing of GTK programs, though, makingi t uniform.
-
Really? how? System Settings > Appearance?
-
There's a gtk-qt engine somewhere...check arch's repos
Here's my Desktop, KDE 4.1.3, Debian Testing.

Your wallpaper is very... subtle.

-
Here, you jsut need the first one(not the KDE).
Choose not to install a DE, then follow this for KDE latest.

Very awesome desktops, estrogen and dakor.
Thomas....nice, umm, well....nice transparent folders. :GEEK: -
Thomas, how did you get the Desktop folder to be transparent? And is it always fixed there, or did you just open it and put there to look nice?
-
This dell precision I haven't done anything with other than work and GAME my arse off.... -

-
It's part of KDE lol.
It's on most KDE distros by default(4, that is), just modify the settings to show other folders. -
Very nice Amaru....
I need to get Debian or Mepis installed on my new acquired A8JS....this precision is strictly work and gaming
