The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Why anyone would want some sort of output from putty to be stored into a file named 'all' is beyond me. Try 'putty > /dev/null'.

    What Gnome theme are you using? Is your black/red color theme throughout the OS, or just the taskbar? I've been looking for a new, good, simple black and red theme.

    New ubuntu desktop I setup for my work rig. Nothing crazy quite yet because I literally just finished installing meerkat. Yes thats a how to on taking a screen shot I am showing to a fellow employee. Trying to get more on the linux bandwagon...

    Reminds me of the movie "Raising Arizona".You young folks probably never heard of it.I don't think it was ever available on DVD.It was on VHS and beta.Probably don't know about beta format either.Damn!I'm old.

    Looks like many of us are adopting the Faenza icon theme...pretty cool, it totally rules in my opinion !!!

    My faves have always been Faenza, iComity, Crash-Bit and the one I posted above is AwOken which I think is decent too.
