Try a Nvram reset. I expect you have put second stick in correct slot. Maybe there is also main memory slots you could try as well on your MB.
Nice start, but still low for your clock speed.
Remember to run bench with no monitoring software or other power hogs if you looking for highest numbers. First time ok for monitoring max temp, but not for highest numbersAnd put up cpu-z tabs of cpu-motherboard and memory for verification of your scores.

If you put the extra stick in the wrong slot if will be single channel mode. Refer to your owner documentation to see if the RAM channels are in the slots next to each other (most common) or is slots on opposite sides of the motherboard. If CPU-Z says 16GB it is recognizing both sticks. Open CPU-Z and go to the memory tab. In the top drop-down menu you should be able to see each stick. If any slots are empty when you select the drop-down menu it will be blank for the empty slot.
Edit: Also be aware that CPU-Z DIMM slot numbering may not match what the motherboard number is. The mother board may enumerate two slots next to each other #1 and #2 and the other two #3 and #4. CPU-Z might enumerate them #1 and #4 and #2 and #4. Don't worry about that. As long as you use the correct 2 slots for 2 sticks it should be dual channel mode. If you use the wrong 2 slots it will be single channel. If you fill all slots it will be dual channel. It sound still recognize all of the sticks and the combined capacity even if you have them installed in the wrong slots for dual channel mode. In single channel mode the RAM will run half as fast as it should in dual channel mode.Last edited: Dec 19, 2016 -
@Mr. Fox @Diversion @Papusan
I updated my bios, but now one of my NVME drives is not detected, so I cannot boot. I have tried resetting to defaults from the bios setup with no luck. One drive is visible in the storage information section, the other is not. How do I do a NVRAM reset?
Thanks. -
A NVRAM reset requires you to remove the notebook battery and cmos battery for about 10 to 30 seconds.Papusan likes this.

Well, it looks like that is a lot better than before. Nice job on the 46x scores. As @Johnksss@iBUYPOWER mentioned, more voltage will help. You could try something like +30mV (0.030V) for 47x4 and go up or down from there. Get a U3 and mod it like I and @Papusan have done.
It's probably just a wrong setting. It is not uncommon for a BIOS flash to change the drive setting from RAID to AHCI or vice versa. You need it to be set the way it was before you flash the BIOS. So, put it back how it used to be and see if it will boot. Then look at your settings and tell us what you see. If you cannot figure it out from the owner documentation (manual) post some photos of the BIOS screens for the drive configuration so we can see them. Maybe someone that has this machine can tell you more.
Everyone, please start using imgur or postimg.org for screen shots and photos. The forum image hosting feature is broken. I can't see most of the images most of the time. You can get a free account on imgur or postimg.org. This will be important when we start the benching competition. It would be a shame to be a winner and nobody knows it because your images are all broken. It is easy to do. All you need is a direct link to an image you uploaded. A direct link is the image only, not the new web page showing other things along with the image as a thumbnail.
This is NOT a direct link: http://imgur.com/1LOzVnR
This IS a direct link: http://i.imgur.com/1LOzVnR.png
You put the direct link inside of tags that look likes this:
Before the link use img inside of [ and ] and after the link do the same thing with a / before img (see code above)Code:
And that gives you this:

@Rage Set @Diversion @Papusan @Mr. Fox
The drive is not even detected at the basic information screen of the bios. It does not matter whether the SATA mode is AHCI or RAID.
Where is the CMOS battery on this laptop?Mr. Fox likes this. -
NVMe is not SATA. It won't show on a SATA port. It will be on a PCIe port for NVMe. Did you already have NVMe before or an ordinary M.2 SSD? Only the BIOS changed? If only the BIOS got changed, then it's probably just one setting that got flipped to something wrong. You probably only need to locate and set it back to what it is supposed to be.
If you put everything back the way it used to be does it boot? Look for the NVMe controller setting or post a few screens of your BIOS settings so we can see what you have. It may look different than what I have with a Clevo.Papusan, Rage Set, birdyhands and 1 other person like this. -
For post image you don't even need an account, you can just upload and copy the link of it

True, but it's nice to be able to find something in your own account later on. It's also nice to organize your images in albums for later reference. If you do an anonymous upload it might be nearly impossible to find later on.

I don't even know if I want to join the competition. I undervolted my processor so I can get a few degrees cooler when playing gta 5. Can't imagine trying to overclock and overvolt to achieve even higher clocks to compete with you guys. I've gotten so obsessed with gta 5 and this pc graphics plus 60fps. So smooth compared to PS3 version and all the new dlcs that haven't been released for PS3 I'm just discovering

So, what you're saying is you're chicken? Is that it, buddy?
Or, are you a bird of prey?
C'mon now. Live a little. You can change it to your cool setting easy enough when you're done kicking ass and taking names.birdyhands and Papusan like this. -
Almost all the heavy hitters are not included in this competition.
So have a little fun.

Exactly! And getting a prize is pretty nice. I get nothing but some points here and there, once in a great while a short ego massage, LOL. What's not to love about a 7700K CPU or an NVMe SSD for free? That's pretty sweet.
John, I am hoping we convert some of these folks into addicted overclocking nuts like us though. That would be be even nicer. I'm thinking we might. Hard to stop once you get the benching bug.Johnksss likes this. -
Yeah, brother @birdyhands be getting his bench on, next thing you know... he's now psycho-birdy the Tornado benching monster. Dude stops play GTA, gets a taste of blood and comes out and kills us all (in benchmarks scores, figuratively speaking, of course). Awesome.

Make 4 power profiles in TS and here we go http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/the-throttlestop-guide.531329/
Have a bit fun and then go back to your undervolt which is one of those 4-profiles and play gta 5

Is the little hole on the back left of the notebook with the "wrap arrows" symbol the CMOS reset? Or what is it for and can it help my issue?

Just wanted to give an update on my RMA repair experience. It took about 2 weeks from the time I sent it off to the time I got it back (time period overlapped thanksgiving). My Ram turned out to be good. It was discovered that there was an intermittently bad Dimm slot and the main board was replaced. Since I got it back, I have had 0 issues and this thing runs like a champ. I did have to pay shipping TO Eurocom which I wasn't happy about but my recommendation to anyone who has to send their system back for RMA is to use FedEx. It only cost me $30 through FedEx whereas UPS was trying to charge me 73$. The support engineer/technician was very involved and responded to my constant requests for status updates. I am very pleased with the customer support.
+1 @Eurocom Support -
While I don't feel you should have paid for any shipping since this was a brand new unit that was defective, I am glad you had a positive experience and have a great laptop now.hmscott, birdyhands and Mr. Fox like this.

thanks a bunch!, Nvram reset did it. now its showing 16 gb and xtu is over 1300(with one stick was 800) too on stock!, cant thank enough!.

So u're ready for da benching competition now, aye?
UsmanKhan, birdyhands and Papusan like this. -
I'm ready to see if I have a golden 6700K or not for this competition.. @Mr. Fox do we need a minimum number of participants to have a go-ahead on the competition? Sounds like we have at least 4-5 people so far.
UsmanKhan, birdyhands, Papusan and 1 other person like this. -
No more would be better, but 4 or 5 is most likely enough to start the death match. We will likely kick it off on or about January 2nd. We may open up the opportunity for participants to register for the competition the day after Christmas. @Johnksss@iBUYPOWER and I need to check with @Eurocom Support to tie up a few loose ends.
You guys spread the word if you have friends that own this little beast that don't hang out here at NBR.UsmanKhan, birdyhands, Papusan and 2 others like this. -

most likely, but since i have no physical control over my laptop for now, so cant do much about it. anyone know if there is any software to max fans?

The drivers for fan control are on the eurocom website. Or you can press the 1st button on the left side to engage full fans.birdyhands, Papusan, Mr. Fox and 1 other person like this.

I noticed that you can configure the Tornado F5 with a i7-7700K and GTX 1080. Would this configuration ship now or is this a placeholder?

No company can ship out their new machines with Kaby lake now.

Hmm... that's a little misleading on Eurocom's part. They should at least have an "available on ..." comment for these configuration options ala Sager, HID etc. To the unwary it gives the impression that an upgrade from a 6700K/1070 to a 7700K/1080 is straight forward (though I know many people here would not be unwary and/or make this assumption).

there is eta of jan 10 on 1080gtx on eurocom f5, but yea on i7 7700k it seems like it's available now, which is not true. so yea they need to put eta on the processor too.FredSRichardson likes this.

None can push out new machines before Intel's release date(probably medium January). Have you seen people already got the new machines with 7700K?
Or any people got their machines with the filthy new Kaby lake BGA Trash?

Hi guys
I've received my laptop today also, I've asked Eurocom to put the OS on the SSD.
Is there anything I should do like a clean install? Hopefully it's a flawless machine which doesn't need anything doingMr. Fox likes this. -
Lucky you, I finally got word that mine is on it's way back. Unfortunately mine will take a bit longer. I had to pay for shipping as well. They received it on the 8th and according to the tracking update this morning, I'm not slated to receive it until the 3rd of January. I'm not happy at all about that but at least it's on it's way back.

ran with full fans, max temp was 89c @47ghz +0.55. yet same result, seems tdp throttling to me.
Edit: Seems like im indeed power throttling. did 4.5ghz at stock volt and cpu could sustain only 4.43ghz on 230watt PSU.
Last edited: Dec 21, 2016 -
Your 230w psu isn't the culprit. Run 4.5 GHz one more time, but lower voltage with max stable undervoltage.UsmanKhan likes this.

i crashed 3-4 times today did 4.7 at stock. now was trying 4.7 with +0.010 and its crashed again T_T. brother not home so laptop will be on lock screen until he arrives and set it up. will be posting results later.
-
Oh"well. And don't forget wPRIME v1.5 Run as adm. Then select 8 threads and fire up 1024m
UsmanKhan likes this. -
Hm any suggestions why is it TDP throttling?
Stays at 110W for about 10 seconds and then drops to 95W. Max temp 83C ...
I have changed XTU to 200 + and 96 seconds. It seems like it is not taking the values. And my 3720 was sustaining 60+W if i managed to cool it

Maybe you need to increase the amps allowed for the CPU in the BIOS. I had to do this on my 6700K desktop build in order to prevent downclocking when running Prime95 - but I don't know if you have access to that setting on your laptop. EDIT: although on inspection of your XTU screenshots it looks as though you might have already increased that figure to 200amps, that should be enough I think.deathwingbg likes this. -
ok so i undervolt 0.-70 and yes 4.5 is consistently sustained but my score is alot less. same as at stock. weird.
tested from -.10 -- -.70. all were in 1300. while previous i had consistently 1400+ -
Dumb question, but my first time having to deal with it... what do you use for cleaning finger prints? Not afraid to put in some elbow grease to get rid of finger grease.
-
All,
So... I was correct in that the new Kaby bios had a NVME bug in it. Eurocom support is updating the bios.
