I was hoping for a more easier solution such as VBIOS modding or software tuning, not hardware modding/soldering... Not experienced to be comfortable soldering things on the board

possible create new voltage curve "under TDP" + OC offset - more effective power
all others setup is here locked
sometimes is possitible find another "compatible" vbios + better TDP .,.,but all TDP raising on notebook is complicated :/

Do you have the RTX 2080 or 2080 super?
If you have the RTX 2080 you can try the GT75's 200w vbios -
He has the RTX 2070. A couple months ago someone else asked about a higher wattage VBIOS for that card but it didn't get any replies at all.

Ah then he's out of luck
-
Its a non super 2070.
-
What is the point of flashing a Higher Wattage V BIOS?
-
More FPS. But not sure what other VBIOS qualifies for the RTX 2070.
Did a google search a while back but couldn't find much.
Couldn't be asked to find out myself if some random VBIOS works or not.
I don't see the point to be honest, because the cooling sollution is too small to handle the extra 40 Watts. Unless you have some over-ear headphones that block the sound of the loud fans.Last edited: Jan 21, 2022 -
If it can handle a 150w 2080 it can handle a 150w 2070.
Besides, a few people who flashed the 200w vbios on their GE75 still had it run in the 70s so it definitely can cool well -
Msi uses coolerbost 5 same cooler on GP73 with 1060 and 8750h and GE75 with rtx 2070 and 10875h the power difference in percentage is huge between these laptops i think cooler is already used too much it needs a much better cooler for lower temps it can barely cool down the cpu

Cpus are a whole different beast due to their small die size. Thats why you need Liquid Metal for the cpu.Papusan likes this.

Yes lm almost gives me an erection but laptops move a lot and if the lm leaks it will definately short something.
Lm on copper is not like nickel it will still diffuse a bit espacially on high temps 10875h uses 100w on all core bench and it is capable of more. With prime95 it hits 150w that is extreme heat density on very small die.
I actually bought conductonaut but couldnt go through with it
due to safety concerns

"IF" it leaks. I initially went all out with the foam dams and barriers on my cpu but eventually removed those as well (they were getting a bit soiled from paste testing i did). No LM ever leaked out of the heatsink-cpu gap. Just make sure your application is done right and you will have nothing to fear. Mine went through a whole year of work getting plopped down hard on its side in my bag, 20+ flights in its lifetime and its still alive and well. Just chugging a bit when running x265 encodes, Zen4 12c/Meteor lake 8p 16e core laptops can't arrive soon enough.
As for the diffusion, it WILL happen regardless of temperature until it saturates the metal. Typically it takes two to three re-applications until it stops alloying with the copper heatsink, mine took a year. -
What about low mounting pressure on laptops espacially on cpu with 3 spring loaded screws?
Edit:You give me confidence to do it i already have lmLast edited: Jan 3, 2022seanwee likes this. -
Mine has tripod screws as well so it should be fine

For LM use scotch 33+ around the cpu die, remember to cut any lefts on the metal shroud as if you dont do it there will be no connection betwean die and heatsink. Than you use transparent nail polish to paint the black tape. After that you place the foam dam to make the barier around the die. Nail polish will make the foam to stick in place and also after compression with heatsink and heating will make almost solid barier. After placing foam put small amout of LM on The die and lefts on heatsink. Screw down the screws with 1/4 of full rotation each to make the best and even connection of the heatsink to die. I highly advise mirror finish the heatsink first for best resaults. You should end with max core temp difference of 5 degrees as this is the delta error of Intels thermal sensors.
10857h will reach very high temps any way at 100 load and you will instan reach like 120W at all core at 4.3 GHz. Mine is reaching like around 135W at 4.43GHz all core with AC/DC load line at 5 in bios, best stability at 4.3 all core. For 4.4.3 I needed to add like 7mV in the TS for full stability. and these 10th gen cpu (10875h) is a bad bin of the 10980hk so it needs higher voltages and doesnt UV well, As the HK. But anyway 10980hk will not do much better than then the oced 10875 that I have with bclk oc due to the temps.
Any way if you plan to LM gpu than I highly recomend that but I needed to add additional barier from k5pro around the heatsink as there are only like 3mm left to cover the rtx2080 super die on the long side of for heatsink of the procedure is the same. if you have rtx 2070 k5pro might not be needed as the die is smaller I think.

I got mine to max 3C delta between hottest and coolest core after having a mirror finished heatsink with 5000 grit but thats overkill for not much benefit.

Just amazing
@seanwee @Krzyslaw
I have had a lot to do but i did it.
First I had a screw issue that the head was gone so i drilled the head of the screw and taken out the cooler and then just got the screw from the other side.

I used 1000-1500-3000-5000-7000-finishing polish paste. Also polished all elements that make contact with gpu vram and power sections.
At the begining I had 3-4 But now after a year from application I ended with max 4-5C now at max full load at 4.43ghz all core. I suppose diffusion. Might give my laptop soon some treatment with new LM and thermal pastes, but as I play most games at all core 4.1 GHz I am seeing delta of 2-3C and I am happy with that. 5C I have only in full load at 4.43GHz.
For games 4.0 or 4.1GHz all core is enough especially with shunt modded RTX2080s(used 2 layers of silver paint, one layer works, but second leyer gives me full potential keeping clocks at 2000MHz and higher in games, so definitly better than 200W vbios from Dell ) I can play everything maxed out. Only in CP2077 I had to resign from psychol RT to ultra RT to achive 58-60fps with rest settings maxed.Last edited: Jan 7, 2022 -
Nice with some tweaking you should achive around 4600 with all core 4.3 as far as I remember.
As for application I still advise foam dam as I think you used a bit to much and there might be spill on black tape.
Also I really dont like the fact you painted LM on Cooper heatsink from Edge to Edge as it can make the LM to move near the aluminium part of the heatsink which can make disaster. You should paint only the square of size of the die. And foam could block the LM. If you dont have foam you can make rounding from regular paste. You can even cover the aluminium part around the copper with paste for even more precaution.
This is my opinion and I think that if you deal with such high price laptop the more precautions the better. -
This is my first time it is ony going to get better.
If you can get 4734 on 4.43Ghz I should get close to 4600pts but you also have faster ram 4531 is the highest point I got maybe closing more tasks could help but I doubt it since I set the cinebenchr20.exe to realtime.
cpu right now doesnt power throttle until 100w which is great I can even overclock this with custom bios like you.
I will open and see the cpu LM spillage soon but i do not have thermal paste for gpu at the moment and the gpu VRMs having thermal paste rather than pads make it a long hassle cleaning and reapplying thin paste on all gpu vrams and vrms ...Last edited by a moderator: Jan 8, 2022 -
Yeah, dealing with this paste is pain in the ass.
That is way I changed it to k5pro because it can be reused. I put only 16W/mK alphacool paste on gpu ram.
If you open your laptop clean the edges of the cpu heatsink so you will have only LM square on top of the cpu die. This is my honest recomendation.
And if dont have foam for bariers just apply thermal paste with thin line just around the metal shroud on the cpu pcb and it will save you just like foam from spillage and lock the LM inside it you use a bit to much of LM and you will be safe.
BTW. You can easily do shunt mod of your gpu by using this paint MG Chemicals 842AR. Link is for the can but there is also small pen to buy which costs less. Anyway Great resaults. If you want to know more and how to do it write me.
It is very easy and safe to do but the paint is a bit high price, even for smallest 5ml pen, vut in my opinion it was great mod

I tried to cut a piece of foam from scoth brite but I couldnt get it right there is no foam at the moment but it would give me a peace of mind to have it right know
I did not carry the laptop vertically because it might leak to sides. Only carried from bottom cover if it leaks it will leak from the sides and follow the lm to outside copper die and land on the plastic bottom cover is what i am thinking
It would be great if we could get silicone sealant around the cpu to keep lm in there

After a year of use thermal pad grizzly on cpu i tried again apply fresh grizzly kryoanut PASTE this time.
On first days cpu temp was about 75c while gaming ,then it hit again 90c after week of use. Really disappointed -
Really would try LM that i have already in home.but i afraid if same happens after of some time use.
This heatsink desing ita really bad for cpu -
-
Well i applied LM . Its give funny low temps
Like max 68 -72c.
Will be stable on time? -
It shouldn't change over time

Can anyone please share thier GE75 10sgs rtx 2080 super vbios file?
VBios 90.04.95.00.5C
Device id 10DE 1E93 1462 12BC
Thanks in advance -
Here you go. GE75 org VBIOS is attached.
I have uploaded for you also Vbios from Aorus Laptop which also works with 10de 1e93, different subsystem IDs and the same TDP rated after flashing on GE75 laptop but this one is UEFI enabled VBIOS. Original GE75 VBIOS does not have UEFI support
Here is a link for patched NVFLASH made by WINRAID forum Team which allows for
Override Board ID mismatch
Override PCI Subsystem ID mismatch
