I dont see a Setup.exe with this. All I see is "BurnRecovery application, a pdf file, and 2 iss files. When I click on that, I get a error MSG that says: OS install drive or data drive label error. Please make sure OS install and data drive label exist.

Anyone have any ideas how to fix this ?

    Thnx

Do you have a 2nd partition label "Data"?

Anyone know how to turn off the graphics card? Mine is staying on too...

I fixed it by installing my old from the MSI CD. Anyone know what the newest driver that is stable with our computer is? Is anyone running 310.54 perfectly? Like not the issue of the graphics card staying on?

Then you need to split partition. the MSI Burn Recovery required 2nd partition Labeled Data.

I split the partition, and Windows 7 assigned it Drive E, I named it "Data".... I still get the same error message?

Maybe I am not doing something right?

So I bought gt70 with gtx670m and 3610qm. Been using it for a week and apart from crappy noisy sound card it's great.
No signs of overheating/throttling in OCCT Furmark Metro 2033.

See if the newest non official Realtek HD Audio driver helps the sound quality.v2.70 build 6772
    Realtek drivers Audio

Also in the Realtek Audio Manager set it to 5.1 since there's no 2.1 option.

See this post to how I setup my Realtek Audio Manager

Hi, im having a weird problem with my MSI GT60 0NE. My gpu idles at 57C without any apps open, and it hits up to 85c when playing SKYRIM on ultra settings. But when i alttab out of the game, it would idle at 40C. Is this normal?

Same thing happens when i change the settings on my nvidia control panel>adjust image setting with preview>to any setting... it would idle at 57C but after hitting the apply button, the gpu temp would decrease to 40C. but when i close the nvidia control panel, it goes back to 57C.. pls help and sorry for my bad english :D

Does MSI make you pay for shipping it to them for warranty repairs? Or is it like Dell or Asus where they actually have you covered in shipping it back for warranty repairs?

Does anyone know why im having my GPU at max clocks at idle? It idles at 700mhz core clock and 1800mhz memory clock at 0% gpu usage.
I've tried installing new drivers but it is still stuck at max clocks on idle.

Is it safe to use the graphic card driver that is released by Nvidia or should I stick with the one that is released by MSI?

Official Nvidia (unless its buggy, which the latest driver isn't)

Contact MSI soon and get the HDD replaced, or atleast keep everything backed in case it fails. Click sound from HDD is not a good sign

Get it from the official Synaptics site:

Every time I boot the laptop, the Bigfoot Boot Agent is displayed. When I hit the settings of it, and disable it, after saving the message still appears every time I restart/reboot the laptop. Also when I completely shutdown the laptop, the message still appears.
    Anyone experienced this problem before?

Does GT60/GT70 have keyboard ghosting especially with the Q+W+Spacebar and W+E+Spacebar keys? What about other key combinations?

    Thanks

Try entering the bios by pressing the Del key on bootup and look at your booting order.

Change the boot order to have the ODD or your primary boot drive to the top position and place the Bigfoot Boot Agent last>Save>reboot.

The bootup will also go to the Bigfoot Agent when there's a problem with the boot drive, there's no disk in the ODD or presence of a bootable USB flash drive.

If the boot drive is a new HDD/SSD or Secure Erased SSD that hasn't been initialized, set as basic volume and formatted the notebook will go to the Bigfoot Agent.

When the notebook can't find a bootable device it defaults to the Bigfoot Agent or in older notebooks the Realtek PXE.

Have you tried flashing the bios with the MSIHQ Tool v1.25g?

    http://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=108079.msg800577#msg800577

Insert a USB flash drive>Run the Tool>point it to the rar.bios file>create the bootable USB bios update flash drive>follow the instructions.

    Hey guys,
I've been digging through the forum looking for a backpack that fits our monstersized laptop. Finally I decided to go for the Wenger Ibex 17 from swissgear. Must say that the bag is awesome, and from what I've being reading the post-sell service is awesome too, with lifetime warranty and such. The only thing I found as a con is that the laptop barely fits. It tops against the zipper. But for me is okay, it fits in the protective compartment that looks well padded. And there is plenty of room left in the bag.
Just wanted to add the info to this thread, I actually found about the bag in the GT780 owners lounge and I thought It would be cool to have some backpack information in this thread.

Hi All. Hope everyone had a Great Thanksgiving!!!

Has anyone taken notice on the GT60 that you can hear the Hard Drives making really low clicking noises? Once in awhile I can hear a low clicking noise thru that front left vent? Is that normal??? I haven't had any problems, and no loss of Data.

    Thnx

The hard drives are very close to the surface in the GT series, there is not much case between you and them, so you will get more noise.

Damn! I upgraded from a Asus G73JH to a MSI GT60 (swapped it with my brother) and holy crap....insane CPU and this thing is a beast. Only concern is heating. The lappy is stock with latest nvidia drivers and windows 8. I did not do any bios upgrades. The fan does come on quite a few times during gaming. I am used to the relatively cool and quiet G73. Is this normal for the fan to kick on so much?

Also...I hear random clicks and crackles from the keyboard top left area (near the second hard drive). Is it the HDD parking itself?

    need help guys please

    i recently install OCZ vertex 4 256GB
it is installed normally, everything is correct
when i run any SSD benchmark, it is detected that the connection is SATA 2
i moved it to the upper side (hdd slot above the battery), still it is SATA 2
then i check in the bios, that my drive is running in RAID, while i am not running in RAID (i am using only 1 hard drive currently, which is the OCZ vertex 4)
when i change the drive to AHCI, it just won't start so i was doing a fresh install again
after windows is finished installing, it will boot up and come back to the first page when i want to install windows again, while actually the windows is already installed??tried again and it keeps repeating the loop :(
i set back my drive to RAID, then it works properly, but in SATA 2
please guy, i need your help, especially from the seniors here

    hi i have a bad accident :
while upgrading my bios of my gt60 from 30m to 30p
THE ELECTICITY FAILED OUT ( and the battery wasn't attached to the NB )
so after the electricity come back i tried to fix it but nothing on the screen
the NB start up and seems to search something on the usb flash and the hdd and then nothing
i tried bios recovery methods like hitting ctrl+fn+pgup and renaming bios to amiboot.rom and many other thing
    but all with no luck
so any one have experience in this may help me
i am able to donate to any serious help that makes the NB work again
    thank you all

Use another computer and go through MSI's steps to make a bootable USB drive. Once you've done that, put it in your computer and start it up. Start hitting F11 for boot options. Boot to USB and go through the process to flash again.

just shop around ebay for BIOS chip replacement at this point if all recovery options have failed, ask seller to preload desired bios to that chip and when you get in trough the post you just need some soldering and disassembly skills or bring laoptop with chip to local PC shop to get that swapped ;) simple as that

When I play any 3D games my screen begins to flicker green and then the application will either close with no warning, freeze, or CTD with 'Nvidia Driver Not Responding'.

This happens regardless of OC being performed, temperatures are fine, computer has been fine for around eight weeks.

Display Driver NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 310.61 stopped responding and has successfully recovered
