Yes MSI seem to want to make the new machines an overclocker's wet dream in a lot of ways.

YES, I WILL figure this out! LOL!

SanDisk U100 SATA III mSATA SSDs suffered absolutely horrible low 4k random write performance scores.
From what I could find out the X100 is in the process of being replaced by the X110 with 19nm NAND.
The X100 uses a Marvel SS889174 controller:the same controller that is used in the Crucial M4.
Specifications for a factory new SanDisk X100 SSD are 500MB/s read and 430MB/s write
As the C: boot drive with 25% of the SSD used the numbers drop on a reviewed 256GB X100 in a Lenovo notebook.
Usually 128GB SSDs have lower write scores than 256GB models.

Thanks WTP, but at the moment, there doesn't appear to be sufficient data on the X100 mSATA SSD's, so I am not ruling them out. We'll see VERY SOON! Besides, I am off to see the Wizard, in search of the elusive Easter Egg!

EDIT: Whoops, I now see you wrote GT60..... GT70 2OD spoken here, but probably same time frame.... or maybe shortly thereafter. -

Good luck on your journey! -
NOS is TDE + a bit of watts taken from battery during a gaming session so to get above PSU rating..enough said

Hmmm, well the GX660R had "secretly" and advanced BIOS method to enter quite a lot of customization including settings for extreme CPU, memory speeds, etc etc. I imagine the new GT will have features we can squeeze more performance unofficially.
I shall aid your Wizard of Oz quest, stalker! -

OK, back from the Land of Oz again, and the Tin Man, Cowardly Lion, and the Wizard..... all say with the 'G' button held-down while pressing the 'Power' button, when Windows boots, the CPU will be in an OC state. All 4th gen i7 CPU's will work! Hoo-Rah!
-
Can you return to the Land of Oz and check if MSI has added a hardware mux (to bypass Optimus/Bacon)?
-
-
Automatic OCing sounds nice
-
Automatic OC is very nice for users that don't need or want to overclock.
Manual overclock still yields the best results. -

Not trying to cause grief, just posting pics of my new laptop.
BTW, to violate an NDA would require a signature on my part and that never happened. If there is an NDA it would be with the seller not the buyer.
I will be posting some benchmarks as soon as I get the latest Windows updates and install some benchmark apps. -
Can you post a benchmark score from CrystalDiskMark? I'm curious regarding the SuperRAID 2.
You got it earlier
I too am curious where -
I'm really liking this laptop. Awesome screen, sound, and performance. Multicolored backlit keyboard is nice too.
Benchmarks
Keep in mind, these benchmarks are after installing the respective benchmark application after powering on with factory setting/drivers/bloatware/etc...

More to come as time permits. -
So no SuperRAID on the GTx0-2OD models. Nice numbers by the way. Keep em coming
-
Mind saying how much you paid for it?

-
I am ordering the GT60.
-
-=$tR|k3r=- Notebook Virtuoso

I paid $2.2k and some change with free shipping.
-
Does around $2000 sound about right for the GT60 2OD-026US sound about right? Or can we expect less or more? -

This is all so exciting.

Too fishy haha. Nice try though, we are not new to this forum
The numbers seem correct for the SSD but the vantage is definitely weak. It's weaker than my 680m+3610qm.
Man, time goes by so slowly.... -
I think he really did get the item. Only time will tell!
-
Oh I don't doubt he has the item in question!
But it's too fishy to be that kind of lucky, and not revealing any info. As stalker said, that shows he at least knows what was going on, that he got it early and that he knows how to use google, know these machines are not released yet!
Most likely he knows someone, he got a green light to show it off, but he didn't expect questions of the origin, instead questions of the machine itself.
It's all theory of courseI want to see more benches and info! Keep 'em coming!
-
Yes more info please!! Could you do a 3dmark11 run at stock?
-
-=$tR|k3r=- Notebook Virtuoso
-
Well I should have my GT60 in my hands by Friday, unless something happens or I was ripped off.
Found a guy under a bridge selling preorders.. -
-=$tR|k3r=- Notebook Virtuoso
Ok, I'll bite..... tell us, so others can place their orders too!
-
I am installing 3DMark 11 and will have some benchmarks posted soon.
To those who question if I have it. I really have the unit in my possession, I own it. How could I post a legit 3D Mark Vantage score linked to their site if I didn't. Skeptics abound.
With regard to my story about how I acquired it, it is true. I searched and found a site that had them in stock and pressed order. I knew about the Haswell launch but they had them advertised showing stock so I took a shot expecting a June shipment and then 2 days later I got FexEx tracking # with a delivery date of today.
You an choose to believe it or not, I really don't care to be honest.... All I know is I am having a blast with my new laptop. -
Fingers crossed on my GT60 arrival! -
Do you think it's a marketing strategy? Problem-Reaction-Solution. You create the problem: leak some info through a chinese forum where one would not suspect. This creates a desire in peoples mind (when can we expect announcement?) The "want" problem
Expect the reaction: people getting excited about the new product (ohhh ahhh wowww). And now you offer the solution: buy it online as soon as possible (I did, it you can do too). Calculated moves at the right time on the right places, without anyone noticing it

3DMark 11 Demo: Generic VGA video card benchmark result - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHz,Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. MS-1763 score: P7468 3DMarks
It almost seems like VSync is enabled because this and the more recent 3DMark never go above 60 fps. I even tried to force vsync off to no avail. The sys info bundled with 3DMark apps crashes every run too.
I suppose since neither the CPU or video card have been officially released, Futuremark may not have released the update yet to correctly identify these parts. -
All I know is I will start looking under bridges right now and find those mysterious resellers
hahaha.
Good luck with everyone and their timely machines!
I just might go for GT60... I miss my GX660R... hmmm choices choices. Good thing we still have time! -
-=$tR|k3r=- Notebook Virtuoso
I also think G0DfAtHeR should quit explaining himself, because the plot only thickens. He says he ordered last Wednesday (Ground) and post this morning at 10:19AM. Problem is, I know when the resellers got their shipments, and especially given the holiday, I really don't see how his AM FedEx Ground delivery could be possible. But, WHATEVERrrrrrrrrrrrrr! LOL!
-
Maybe go to control panel to check if vsycn is enabled, hopefully it won't be so you can run at max peformance!
And yeah, the cpu/gpu is not official yet so maybe it will have some problems until official release. -
-
Nice score man. I am really looking to OC this thing!
