You must have some inaccurate info because, again, I outline what transpired.
You appear to be one of those people that no matter how many times or ways someone explains to you that 2 plus 2 is really 4 you will still not believe them.![]()

Try shutting the notebook down.... and power it back up while holding down the 'G' button first. See if the CPU is OC'd when you get back into Windows 8. Have you installed CPUZ, GPUZ, HW Mon and AfterBurner yet? Also, can you please provide some screenshots?
-
Can you do a BF3 bench?
-
Thanks for the offer Talon but I think I just might go full GT60 haha.
Anyways, we need to see more benches! It is important the temps too, lets see how good the cooling is with the new bridge between CPU and GPU! -

Besides, after using SSDs, I realized that a single SSD for boot suits my needs, while others might need the super raid.
In the end, theGT60 will also have the msata support right? so if I go crazy I can enable super raid?
Bah I don't know what to do
-
We really should have just created one topic with GT70/60.

Don't worry, I will photoshop the size of the laptop to make it appear like GT70 hahaha
-
Godfather can you open the "stomach" of the beast (lower panel underneath the notebook) so we can peek what's inside?
-
Not a chance.....

-
@GODfAtHeR congrats on your new laptop .
Can you try the NOS feature that OC's it? Keep those benchmarks coming. -
Benchmarks
These benchmarks are definately without vsync on. I verified 3DMark Ice Storm wasn't stuck at 60fps and Vantage went up over 5000 points! Everthing still stock.
This beast is screamin fast!!
3DMark Ice Storm : Generic VGA video card benchmark result - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHz,Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. MS-1763 score: P92549 3DMarks
3DMark Cloud Gate: Generic VGA video card benchmark result - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHz,Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. MS-1763 score: P17519 3DMarks
3DMark Fire Strike: Generic VGA video card benchmark result - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHz,Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. MS-1763 score: P4629 3DMarks
3DMark Vantage: Generic VGA video card benchmark result - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHz,Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. MS-1763 score: P25916 3DMarks

On Steam I got the 'Mystery Machine' achievement with this rig. LOL!
More to come as time permits... -
OCOCOCOCOCOCOCOCOCO O!!!!! C!!!!!
I'm also curious if XTU would let you OC the CPU any. Want to give it a try? -
All those benchmarks scores look in line with mine - so the MSI max boost is 849 - that's what I got too with my OC msi vbios.
-
Can't wait to get one myself!
-
Thanks for posting the 3DMark11 score. Pau1ow posted his and score and I thought it was kinda low. Good to have confirmation that its indeed atleast around 7700 in GPU score. A beast indeed. Can`t wait til I get mine.
Also as a request: Have you done any temperature measurements? Does the GPU run hot? Also what clocks do you get when running 3DMark11? GTX 780M have GPU Boost 2.0 which will clock it up pretty high. You have to use GPU-Z and look under "sensors" to see the real clocks. Or use MSI afterburner.
Thanks -

I paid 1900$ and some change, with no tax, and managed to get free overnight am shipping. Just priced out the old GT60 with a 120gb SSD, and 16GB Ram with one of the online retailers mentioned here often and I paid a lot less than what they want.

Not sure the turbo boost was fully performing on Vantage, here are my score with a TB up to 797mhz (downcloked it on purpose)
Generic VGA video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-3630QM Processor,Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. MS-16F3 score: P25133 3DMarks
and 3dmark11 with 780M @ 850mhz (the vram is overclocked barely affects 3dm11 score)
Generic VGA video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-3630QM Processor,Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. MS-16F3 score: P7547 3DMarks
If we can have the MSI AB graphs when running those benches, we can see what TB he got there.
780M @ 797mhz: Generic VGA video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-3630QM Processor,Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. MS-16F3 score: P7157 3DMarks
Can't wait to see your machine Talon -
-
Its here! Let me double check by opening it lol
Confirmed!!! Its legit! -
Ok please order one for me now!
-
Awaiting your pics and benchmark results for a comparison. -
First you tested it with Win7, posted score with 68xx in GPU score. I said that couldn`t be right. You said that it was normal and something we should expect. I responded and said with the specs the 780M have, it should score a lot more. No reply back or anything.
Then you found out, yes, indeed the GPU Boost 2.0 wasn`t working. So you retried with the GPU boost finally enabled, and you score 7379. Which to me seems still not entirely correct, since godfather got 7633 in GPU score with his GTX 780M. And Clevo score 8000 with their 17" new notebook.
Its nice to see you post the GPU score now with 850MHz, but I don`t understand the whole premise of it since that is an OCed GPU, put in the GPU boost clock artificially, to make it seem like the GPU functioning optimally. I don`t know, but should the 15" GT60 score less?
As for the Nvidia inspector, thanks. Didn`t see it until now. 849MHz GPU boost confirmed for MSI GT70. Nice to know -

Notes 4 in stock.. act fast.. -
The first score I had was with the Clevo vbios without the TB which obviously resulted in a lower score (makes sense, a 780M clocked to 771 won't score as much as a 780M clocked to 849).
Managed to get hold of a MSI oem vbios (thanks to Prema) and re-done the whole thing - he said he tweaked the VBIOS but I have got the same GPU-Z and NVInspector as g0dfather which means MSI TB is correctly clocked to 849mhz causing obviously a huge boost in benchmark.
Again, I had downclocked on purpose the 780M to 797mhz instead of 849 (-52mhz on NVInspector) to basically reproduce a score of a 780M stock since at this time I didn't know the boost was by default 849mhz or Prema had done something.
The 850mhz benchmark has no overclock but the VRAM btw. I should have made it clear but obviously I didn't know MSI was using a higher default TB.
By the way, trying to do a review in the dark regarding the specs of the card you own is tough, this wasn't useful this time and I won't make the mistake again - had the card for a short time therefore couldn't properly game with it.
EDIT: I know you want the 780M to look as nice as possible but the truth is for the moment the difference with the 680M overclocked is totally negligible - at least in single card. There's no magic in this, this is purely mathematic and +14% cores and extra bandwith won't result in an extra 30% gain (unless they also further boost the default clocks as MSI just showed us). -
Yes thank you for the review both of you.

Thanks Ryzeki.

I just ordered a GT70-2OD-093US, should arrive tomorrow. This will be my first jump from homebuilt desktops to gaming PCs. Hoping for the best! I do have to thank all of you on this forum, I was minutes away from getting a GT70-0NE... I think I would have been disappointed!

Nice let us know!
-
Where did you order it from again? -
Wow- I guess proofreading would be my friend if I payed attention.
I did indeed mean GT70 2OD-039US. I also meant moving from homebuilt gaming desktops to gaming laptops.
I ordered from rakuten.com, the artist formerly known as buy.com. I was holding off until my Oculus Rift went to processing. I got that notice last night. Fun days ahead! -

Is 4700MQ the one equipped with intel HD4600? I presume 4700MQ is the successor to 3740QM?
Also if those sellers broke the NDA then when is the official release date? -
Yes it has the HD4600
