GTX 560M has some differences in heatpipe - thermal module. Best cooling for R6970m is from R5870m with some modifications. If you are interested I have modules for M5870m 2 or 3 pipes aswell. Also there is thermal backplate available.

Psh, I ran my DDR at 2-1-1-5. BH-5 memory FTW!

Some of those sticks could reach 300mhz at 2-2-2-5 (granted it took 4v but that's beside the point), thats the same latencies as 1200mhz at 8-8-8-20 (well not quite, but close), which I think is impressive.

One of the things I like about my Hyper-X is I not only get 1600mhz at 9-9-9-27 but it also does it at a CR of 1T.

What temp does it reach WITHOUT turbofan? Turbofan is very powerful in lowering temps but makes also a lot of noise...

Another question: is it true you have to disable Catalyst Powerplay or this gfx won't set the correct clock timings?

Just buy card and cooling solution for r5870m. Use some bigger thermal pads for mosfets.

Hmm I see that you have 150W PSU. Honestly I had 150 W PSU with R6970m and it was ok. So for R6970 150w psu is enough.

I am happy to send the PSU to Malaysia. If you go ati then make sure you buy a ati heatsink.

anyone is willing to sell ati 5870m/6970m/6990m heatsink? :(
it's the only problem i am facing now. i am still confused between ati or nvidia
i heard that the image quality of ati is worse than nvidia in games, although they have same settings (let's say ultra)

A ATI heatsink will be difficult to get therefore I suggest that you stay with Nvidia.

    @irfan

i dont think game graphic's quality looks worse in ati than nvidia, it should be the same, unless physx is involved, then yeah nvidia will have more eyecandy than ati, but it doesnt come cheap tho, physx itself takes alotta power from the card, and so far i could only find noticeable differences in batman arkham asylum and city, that is because they have tons of physx involved, but if i dont compare them side by side, i dont think i would even notice.

btw i found this on ebay, he ships worldwide too
    MSI 5870M-7970M Heatsink | eBay

anybody know if gtx680m or gtx 675m compatible with gx660 (non r)? anyway to modified 5870m heatsink to fit that one? i wanna try nvidia coz the cuda helps in rendering movies by alot

This is my heatsink indeed :D

This heatsink will only accomodate a ATI/AMD gpus, if you want to upgrade to the GTX675 or 680M, your best bet is to use the MSI common GTX570/580/670/675M heatsink as this will be plug and play with the latters and may require (slight) modifications to fit the latest 680M.

Hi guys. I bought a 6990M on ebay, but it appears that the guy cheated me and sold me overclocked 6970M ES :( Anyway, do you know what is the latest Dell vBios for 6970M ? I am asking about Dell, because I want to have sound over HDMI.

Hello, it's very interesting. I've same Notebook and want also to upgrade my System.

Please inform me which manufacture of graphiccard it is? I've bought a card from Ebay but without function. The seller mean this Card is from Dell-System, after built-in my notebook the powerled from powersupply goes off.

    Hallo,

    look at the picture :)

    Hi Killername!

The vbios is a Dell one, I've bought it from ebay, I think youre PSU is too weak for this wattage!

    Hallo Killername!
