Hey guys, had some improvements last night but they were certainly slow going. I've noticed on my machine that the GPU's don't seem to like more then 400mhz of memory OC even with boosted +50mv. I think the system may just be against the ceiling in terms of power. Next Im going to start playing around with some steeper CPU offsets (-75mv - -90mv) and see if that doesn't let me go to 62.5mv on the GPU's and stabilize the core. But at this point, I'm pretty darned satisfied. (note: I didn't grab temps in the screenshot just because due to the AC Induction I'm running the CPU never breaches 80c, and GPU's peak at 68c and 78c)

I didn't document but I am pretty sure it was around 75mv or 87mv but I was multitasking when running tests, it was more than 62.5. Either way It's seems after +50mv nothing makes a big impact which I am sure due to the power brick being exhausted and unstable.

DAmn GTVevo, you are the boss of the MSI GT80 OC. I bow to your wisdom. You and other members thought me about my machine(computers in generals) in ways I could not have ever imagine.
When I was younger my greedy old man would have never spent such money on a machine that can compete to a desktop, matter of fact not even buy a destop that had a graphic cards until I decided consoles weren't my thing because I am always on the move. Then I stumbled on to this forum and the best gaming laptop money can buy.

I always knew, go big or go HOME. MSI has created a monster lol :D I honestly can not wait until the next Gen of Titan's MSi has to offer.

GTVevo, you make me mad at Newegg for not shipping me out a 009, neither the less I am happy for you, keep pushing sooner or later, 17k will be achievable.

After a month of owning the device I finally figured out what was causing incosistent 3dmark scores for me. I would get anything between 13.2k and 14.7k. Turns out closing the Nahimic sound software kept my scores at a constantly 14.5+

For some odd reason that softwarre was crippling my cpu score. In any case here is my everyday 24/7 overclocked results.

They should not be needed, if you hack in the SLI switch without restart you have all the same functionality.

Ive done it with Alienwares only. Im curious if 345.20 vs newest Nvidia driver with or without desktop version in use may yield higher scores then the 353.xx drivers. I dont have my gt80 yet, hopefully next week.

Some reported that with modded desktop version of Nvidia driver boosted performance slightly, however it may or may not be true. It is also somewhat burdensome since you will have to modify the driver files.

Just download it now, either Iso or bootable stick, using MediaCreationToolx64 that MS has given out. Didn't they give one year for the free upgrade?

You have a year to upgrade for free, the easiest method is to download the ISO and do it from that.

    incynr8, actually I prefer hwinfo64.

The other two have vastly different version numbers. Have you installed and viewed both?, might be worth checking out - or just go with hwinfo64 :)

    http://www.hwinfo.com/download.php

It has more features + logging so you can see the values between the high/lows - gives perspective - like the high was only reached briefly during your 2 hour session - so no need to worry about overheating.

When it starts up, select Sensors Only mode if you only want to monitor temp/volt/etc, and go into the full app if you want to look at hardware details - first a summary window comes up, you can close that and go into the full app to see lots of detail.

    Have fun :)

I've tried Prema vBios, it's good. But I have some issues with my external monitor with mini DisplayPort..... The screen is not always recognized.

So, I've installed the new vbios by MSI and no issue at all and performances are approximatly the same :)
