Checked the spec page at RK computers, 9-cell that it comes with is a 7200mAh not the 7800mAh

that's for frosty's notebooks;] -
NotEnoughMinerals Notebook Deity
well theres more conflicting spec sheets for you
track record says 7800 but you never know, I heard they want to cut out the mouse and backpack to save costs, the battery could be next -

electrosoft Perpetualist Matrixist
My 1727 came with a 7800, yet the original spec sheet and description even now says 7200, so RK is right.
Battery Pack 9-cell battery included, 7200mAh -
Lets see who's gonna win the tread :d
-
NotEnoughMinerals Notebook Deity
haha I dont care which one is has now, I just want it released in my possesion.
Anyone know if any reviewers have started to receive them yet? -
None!
Not gonna commit till I see some temps in thus baby. -
From another thread, I came to the realization that the base MX740 costs less than a Sager NP8690, but add a CPU upgrade, and it puts this machine over $2000 right away.
-
Unless you put in your own CPU .. you know , a certain E word.
-
-
-
If they offer a barebones version of the GX740 like they do the GTs you won't have that problem. -
GX740 is on the MSI website,
I'm going to try some of the drivers, they are all newer then the 725 lol, my realtek audios breaking like an idiot alot of the time and randomly failing, so i need to find that,
Think the manuals up there too! -
-
-
hah ok alright;]
-
NotEnoughMinerals Notebook Deity
upgrade to an SSD or from the 720 to 820? Thoughts?
-
Neither, by a nice laptop cooler, an awesome set of speakers, maybe external monitor and game on (Y).
Or get a mini SSD for pci slot (Then tell everyone if it works lol.) -
NotEnoughMinerals Notebook Deity
haha, i've been looking around for someone being able to say if the mini SSDs were finally capable of being fast enough for boots (which is the only reason why I want an SSD) I fear degradation if its my main HD
-
Well have a small one (Like net tops and mac books have them too?) for your OS boot, to make everything seem fast, and a strong HDD behind it for everything else.
-
NotEnoughMinerals Notebook Deity
well thats the dream, expresscard ssd fast enough to boot/usb 3.0....somebody make that
-
Lol, why express card though haha, we have plenty of mini pci slots inside the machine, good clean efficient speeds for the win
.
-
NotEnoughMinerals Notebook Deity
are there? okay! use that! make it so!
EDIT: how hard would that be to set up? -
I wouldn't say hard, but then again i don't think anyones tried it, although i might save up for a new HDD + SSD, and CPU, who knows, if anyone goes for it though, be worth reporting in.
-
NotEnoughMinerals Notebook Deity
well I'd love to do it to let everyone knows who it goes but I lack the in-depth knowledge of opening up a laptop and not fearing that touching anything will destroy it
-
Hehe, well us guys can tell you how to open and close the machine flawlessly,
The SSD you showed me is the right one, but i think there are much better out thereeven for mini pci lol.
The good thing about msi books is that they are mass upgradable with zero problems, ofcourse you could always short something, but if you take the correct precaution, you will be fine.
-
NotEnoughMinerals Notebook Deity
tempted... I really am, would probably want someone who knows what their doing to it though, nevermind that i'd need to go mess with some BIOS to make it work
EDIT: Well I actually do have some IT friends who could give it a shot, but would this be a day 1 warranty void? lol -
-
-
eHH i'll comment in april when i have some time off.
-
! no reaction in this thread
-
I know man, this sucks right, i mean being monitored by MSI? It almost feels like i'm being spied on, i wonder if my rebrand has th is problem.
-
I heard that the rebrands are the most affected
, they got the RTFM-Chip 2.0
-
Oooh what, a 2.0 revision, dude that completely sucks, i'll have to run with wifi off then :/.
-
-
NotEnoughMinerals Notebook Deity
-smaller HD
-diff dimensions
-6-cell battery instead of 9-cell
-17.3" instead of 17" -
no, look at the specs. still WXGA++ (1600 x 900). 16:9 though... intel GPU????
wait... thats the ExACT same specs as the A7200-027US. somebody playing more pranks?? -
but look at where it is located, under discontinued items page
-
yeah... somebody is messing with us i think.
-
i post it because the gallery pics ;] not cyz specs
-
NotEnoughMinerals Notebook Deity
-
It deserves to be in the discontinued section with those specs
-
stereo, it's got the same chassis as the A7000 or whatever. i think it's mislabled...
-
NotEnoughMinerals Notebook Deity
Yea the pics are wrong unless they all of a sudden decided to go with a completely diff setup that noone will buy, probably just a joke or a page that hasnt been updated
-
or a mislabeled page.
-
NOTE: Pictures are for reference use only and may differ from the actual product.
-
Does anybody maybe know already if it is worth buying this one to replace the gt725 (P9500 HD4850)? Will there be a noticable difference?
The price is slightly higher than buying a qx9300 proc and a ram upgrade to 8GB -
Hey zwi , my advise .. don't buy it .. stay clear , why ? that's because there's plenty of life left in our 4850 .. we can still maxed out all the latest games so no point in upgrading yet ...
It will serves us good for at least another yr or so. (even move if you can stand playing on medium or low)
The Difference between the 2 card is "massive" but you won't notice anything in performance in the actual games you're playing.
Worth jumping ship for dx11 ? that's another no in my book as well.
PS: how's the driver thingy going ?
On another note , you can get a Q9200 , only difference is clock speed .. 2.4* vs 2.53.
And as for memory , it's not needed for gaming .. unless you do video editing and so on .. -
All deads points are very valid just to let you guys know
