nope, you got it right, just to have aa single storage space.
I have the 4TB RAID partitioned into:
C: 200 GB (Windows and programs)
D: 3.6TB (Documents, Music, Videos, Pictures, Software EXE files for installing, Games, Movies, Training Material![]()
then I have the 1TB m.2 SATA 850 EVO spanned with the 850 EVO 2.5" 4TB as a spanned drive of 5TB for even more movies but TRIM is not supported on a spanned drive FYI, only as a single drive in AHCI or in RAID it is now supported since a couple of years with the latest IRST Drivers

You get higher write speed to disk

Sequential is the biggest increase but 4K reads and even 4K Writes are only marginally improved so what he means is that your average Joe, other than in benchmarks, wouldn't be able to really tell the difference unless their workload deals with large files like videos or database.hmscott, Kevin@GenTechPC, Papusan and 1 other person like this. -
I have never updated any firmware, on any of my Samsung SSD's. Is it worth hassle to do it?
-
Kevin@GenTechPC Company Representative
Not difficult to do at all. Use manufacturer software to perform firmware update with ease, and a reboot, that's it. -

Love that crazy speeds/responsiveness nevertheless.

Are you talking about the "crazy speeds / responsiveness" when gathering "high dollar" NVME $CASH$ from customers?

Aren't those SSDs used like a year ago?
30TB is too much writes and most likely you will buy a new SSD if current one fails.
You might invest in a enterprise grade SSDs like Nytro or Samsung's Endurance optimised SSDs.
Have you got a PCIe SSD? -
Never update first day. Not the first time firmware for ssd's screw up. And you risk, have to wait for a long time on a new fix (aka new firmware who fix up the previous
). See...
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!

I believe it's SATA but i'm not at home so i'm not sure. Anyway my issue is way different and doesn't hang up the machine completely.
I think i'm going too much off topic and since i've already opened a topic for it we can move on there

I once had it display a different model of my keyboard like the GT75 keyboard instead of my GT73 keyboard. You can try it but this is what Phoenix recommends. In addition, why would you wanna upgrade a keyboard driver? what are you expecting it to do any better than the OEM provided version? probably 0Falkentyne and Vasudev like this. -
I am running 3.11.11 because I have a Stratus XL controller (which is steel series).

What if that "different variation of keyboard" thing made your GT73 turn into a per key independent RGB keyboard and you didn't test it? -

That's why most enthusiasts don't install it. It keeps resetting the VR Current limit from the recommended 100A to 200A back to 0 (default) which causes throttling. Uninstall it and be in full control. Overclock from the BIOS only or XTU but preferable the BIOShmscott likes this. -

Phoenix: How come W10 BT driver from Killer has a small file size than W10 drivers? I always had great luck installing W7 BT drivers that can access my phonebook and do BT audio unlike W10 drivers from Killer? Any ideas why W10 BT Killer driver includes few infs unlike W7.

You could have just said "Phoenix has a nvidia driver install guide video which shows how to turn off the telemetry.." without tagging me!
Only tag a person when you want their attention for something not just for mentioning them!
I have 50 tags per day and if every tags me like you I'd lose my brain.

Hi everyone, I am new here and first of all wanted to thank Phoenix for this excellent thread!!
I check it weekly for any updates and has been extremely helpful for that.
I have a question regarding my cpu offset voltage settings in bios and was hoping that someone here can help me out.
In bios I am able to change the core muliplier and voltage and even the offset voltage but what I need is to be able to set negative values for the voltage offset, which I have not found a way of doing yet.
I am currently relying on the software Intel XTU for that but would like to do it directly via bios instead for obvious reasons.
In XTU I have all cores overclocked to 4.4 with core offset at -0.020.
Thanks in advance! -
Falkentyne Notebook Prophet
Use Thottlestop to set negative offset voltages.
You can't set negative offsets in the Bios unless you unlock the advanced Bios menus (specifically Overclocking Performance Menu).
Svet can unlock them for you for a donation (on the official MSI forums). There are also several Bios unlocking tutorials that have been posted for this laptop if you want to cheap out and avoid donations, and they do work and has been tested, but that is purely at your own risk (changing the Bios Lock key to disabled via the instructions posted before is required before any modifications via AMIBCP will even flash. I'm not going tell you how to do that; please do a search and do your own research if you want to go that route. Or just PM Svet on the official msi forums).Kevin@GenTechPC and Spartan@HIDevolution like this. -

OK sorry, won't do it again. Bit of an overreaction but I take your point. .You seem to be losing your brain anyway, lighten up a bit. Learned long ago, not to get bent out of shape over trivial things. Especially online. 50 tags per day ? really
, that all ? try 200 emails, all of which time critical and need a response. Then complain.
Been there, done that, learned not to get worked up, it isn't worth it.
