Geforce experience is one contributor to stuttering since it does background recording, full ansel support and other features.
Its better to stick with MSI drivers since the PC is quite new. Or else give the developer driver a try 398.91

Finally, I figured out how to use the latest MSI Driver for the nVIDIA Graphics v398.35 AND have the nVIDIA Control Panel functional as it's missing from those drivers, see the OP for details.

Realtek Audio Driver updated v6.0.1.8504
1) Uninstall Nahimic from the App store
2) Disable your internet connection (go into Airplane Mode)
3) Uninstall the current Realtek Audio Driver from Control Panel > Programs & Features then reboot
4) Install the new Realtek Audio Driver then reboot
5) Re-enable your internet by turning off Airplane Mode
6) Go into the App store and reinstall Nahimic from thereKevin@GenTechPC, hacktrix2006, Pedro69 and 2 others like this. -
I think that im missing some features of sound because only have the realtek drivers and not the nahimic...we really need nahimic installed to get full performance in sound?
-
Spartan@HIDevolution Company Representative
If you don't install Nahimic, then the sound is like it's coming from an iPad, pale with no depth to it. Just MEH.
To test if Nahimic is actually doing its thing in terms of effects, after installing Nahimic, launch it, then play a song or a YouTube video and change the sound profiles in Nahimic from Music to Video, to Communication and see if it sounds different -
I had Nahimic installed in my old GT72VR but in my new GT75 i not have it and i think that the sound not is the same.

Realtek Audio Control Panel added to the OP under Audio Driver. That just gives you a popup when you plug in a device to specify what did you plug in (ie. Headphones)
-
So the 398.35 is the better driver then the 399.07?
-
It would appear that MSI have finally borked the ability to run Nahimic3 on pre 8th gen machines. Fudgenaclumpets
8496 runs Nahimic 3 fine... anybody successfully got 8.5.xx to run with Nahimic3 on 7th gen?Attached Files:

I am running 8412 and Nahimic 2+ Audio Driver 2.5.31.
The support pages says version 3 not supported for my puter.
https://nahimic.helprace.com/i526-nahimic-2-users-it-will-not-be-possible-to-update-to-nahimic-3 -
Don't believe everything you read on support pages.
There are ways to upgrade older machines. I started a thread : Nahimic 3 on unsupported systems - dont want to contaminate this thread further.... some people have even got nahimic 3 going on 5th gen machines
Nahimic may suxx, but ver 3 suxx less than 2.xx
PS Fixed my issue

Works with Killer Control Center?

I don't use that garbage app -
I use it mainly for xTend, as some places I go often require account type of log in, so I was using xTend to share the bandwidth between multiple devices / Laptops.

For some reason, windows update downloaded the killer control center, anyone know how to uninstall it? i dont see it on the control panel as a stand alone app.
-
Spartan@HIDevolution Company Representative
It's in your Windows Store Apps not the actual full version. Click on the Start Menu, find Killer Control Center, right click on it and hit Uninstall then reboot after 15 seconds while Windows is uninstalling its associated services in the background.saturnotaku and Donald@Paladin44 like this. -

I experience fps drop in Rise of the Tomb Raider from solid 60 to mid 50s and some places even less.
-
-
Tried 398.xx-399.xx and got same lags. Inconsistent unpredictable fps drops down to 40s.
Rolled back to 391.48, and everything runs smooth again, never drops below 60fps (65-80 without v-sinc).
Was that a known issue since 398s?
What is happening?Last edited: Sep 26, 2018hmscott likes this. -

nVIDIA Does this on purpose near the release of a new GPU so you would sell your laptop and buy a new one.
If you stick to older drivers long enough, sooner or later new games will not even be able to run or they would run like crap so it's a lose-lose situation. -
Kevin@GenTechPC Company Representative
Are others having the same issue with the same title? I wonder if Nvidia has received many tickets over this.
-
Is that possibly connected to the gpu downclocks I have experienced? Try setting 3d settings to prefer max performance for your games. That did the trick for me - nothing to lose other than time anyway. Now I am running a desktop pc and it feels great to just.... install a driver and it works lol.Falkentyne likes this.

Killer Control Center broke the Help Desk>Driver and App Center updates, it couldn't connect to update.
I deleted the KKC app.
Now I don't have Bluetooth, it's installed (v20.60.0.4) but no GUI to access it as KKC is gone.
Any alternative to KKC app to workaround this issue?
NVM .... W10 noob, still learning it. Miss W7 simplicity though.Last edited: Sep 26, 2018 -
I got several CTD's, lost my achievements for the period, cant go back far enough to redo.
No other game experience this issue and I'm on 411.63/3.14.1.48

In lots of different ways when it comes to STABLE performance, older is better.
MSI will run an update and bench test it prior to posting it. If you don't see it at MSI, there is a reason they haven't posted it ... system stability or driver conflicts. There waiting for revisions or ups that actually work.
Everyone knows that being a MS Insider and getting ups that are not 'De-Bugged', your in for a world of pain.
I'm not so quick to update other than security and OS stability. -
