The chipset from our models for MSI it is very old. I will check the Intel website then for our chipset.
Thank you for help!

Intel Chipset Drivers are always backwards compatible. If the driver detects an older motherboard/CPU chipset, it will simply not install the version that is mentioned in the installer but will still successfully install the latest driver version for the chipset it detects.

nVIDIA GeForce Experience updated to 3.17.0.126
-
Then we can use this one without any problem?

Offcourse, but remember, if you are *updating* the Intel Chipset Drivers like not installing them from a clean Windows install, then you need to run the -overall command a well in command prompt otherwise the installer will just end and not update anything!
To ensure proper installation of the Intel Chipset Drivers in case you were not installing them for the first time after a format, do the following:
1) Copy the driver installation folder and rename it to something easy (ie. chip) to the root of C:\ then launch command prompt as admin
2) then type cd\ to go back to the root of C:\
Now the drivers will be installed completely because if you don't follow this method, then as soon as you run the setup regularly and hit next, you will notice that the installation completed and nothing happened.Ivan994 likes this. -
Why should you install them on an already running OS and/or if you don't see "missing driver" flag?
Why would/should people want screw up already working systems? On top you will see ZERO performace gain or better stability!!
Forcing the installation of a not required or already present Intel Chipset Device INF file (e.g. by using the " -overall" command) doesn't make any sense, but will blow up the user's registry and the Windows\inf folder with garbage (unused resp. unusable oemxx.inf files). Furthermore the forced installation of unusable drivers generally may overwrite actually in use other drivers and can cause degraded performance or a lack of features.Last edited: Feb 12, 2019 -
I wanted to try this because I have a problem with the keyboard does not work sometimes after win 10 update. I post about it. Everything went well, I already did this. I hope is not going to degraded performance. Is there any way to delete unused oemxx.inf files?

Thanks for the confirmation Papusan, and Ultra Male. Basically no need to install on a working OS that doesn't need or isn't missing drivers, and the chipset drivers are backward compatible. I wonder what restrictions exist for those, because I have run into particular cases on workstations, where I needed to hunt specific versions that otherwise wouldn't work. These are very weird cases though, with older equipment in power plants.

Thank you for the info! is it all fine here?

Run as adm. Click Select Old drivers. You will then see if the software find something. Will show checkmarks in boxes. Remember backups if you change/delete packages.
-

That's wrong, the -override command does that not the -overall command.
If you install the Intel Chipset Drivers on top of already present drivers, even if you are installing a newer version, the installer will just end immediately as if it did nothing but if you run the -overall command you see it installing drivers just like it would on a clean install.Ivan994 likes this. -
Software found 10 old drivers. Is it safe to delete them or to leave them? I mean could they cause any harm?

Can't give better advice

Remember backup. Then delete old drivers.

Well I like to install them because OCD.... you see, if I were to right click for example on C240 Series Chipset Family LPC Controller (CM246) -A30E on a clean Windows install and check the driver version, it shows me some ancient driver from God knows what year. I like seeing the driver which is actually meant to be from my laptop's manufacturer. Example:

old habits never die, call me old school, but I will never installing Intel Chipset Drivers. That's the first thing I saw an Indian technician do as I saw him building my first Cyric CPU based desktop with 16MB of RAM and a whooping 64MB of storage and gave me 10 free floppy disks

Don't worry, it works. It just doesn't recognize most drives, and is generally super slow. And you can't install some drivers or parts of MS dot.net
Reminds me when a plant absolutely forced windows XP into a new dell R7920. There are things that you shouldn't do. It had phantom issues, 2GB RAM use limit (due to the 4GB OS limit, a 512MB GPU and some unidentified devices eating the rest of memory apparently).
Thankfully VMs are now widely accepted.custom90gt, Dannemand, Vasudev and 2 others like this. -

I have done all the TUT's on their site, here and at MSI, it still is a buggy piece of software that doesn't play nice with other software and Windows in particular.
It just had to go.
Then there was the synaptic TP issue and Killer as well, all 3 are gone.Last edited by a moderator: Feb 25, 2019 -

Nahimic and the Synaptics app work perfectly. Your Windows OS is so buggy that nothing we suggest will help. Format your PC and stop complaining about issues that are only isolated to your computer.
Also, in the drivers section in the first page, reac my instructions on how to update the sound card components from device manager before installing Nahimic so it can properly talk to the sound card. -
You should google how to force your laptop to use windows precision drivers. Did it on my GE73 and the using the touchpad is a night and day difference now. It is not laggy at all anymore and gestures work like they should.Vasudev and Kevin@GenTechPC like this.

I just did a clean install of W10 1809 (v17763.316) in January, " Windows OS is buggy," yes indeed it is.
Even with the clean install I still had to use the app from the Microsoft store for the touchpad, this is a workaround, not a patch, or a fix.
And Nahimic was causing sound issues with casting to my 50", some website videos and windows sounds/audio/recording/microphone.
These 2 are NOT "issues that are only isolated to your computer."
Killer kept disconnecting from my WiFi, constantly switching between 5G and 2.4 even though my router is in the same room and was replaced with a new unit in December from TELUS. -

I uninstalled the UWP Realtek app and it now errors out whenever it tries to install again from the Windows Store. I am on the Insider Preview of Win 10 Pro, however, so the app may not be compatible with the build of Windows I am on.
Just thankful that it is gone and not coming back, hopefully. -
Same as me. Nahimic problem
I just change the sound output when problem is coming
Change to headset and back to speaker
And sound back to normal
I have this problem for 4 month ago
With update nahimic and realtek UI can't fix this problem

@Ultra Male Hey mate,
where did you download drivers for GTX 1080? Your drivers always perform better than from Nvidia site.
Best of luck with your new laptop

I think you can grab it from MSI site. Its 419.72 or higher.Ivan994 likes this.
