These are stock drivers w/o any mods and only nvidia bloatware removed.

@Ultra Male You highly recommend to not install Dragon Center. I've learned to just follow your recommendations the first time around to avoid headaches haha. What program would you install in lieu of Dragon Center for automatic fan control while gaming/VR? If the program is a bit complicated to set up properly; would you mind pointing me towards a guide, tutorial or setting recommendations as well? That way I don't have to bug you again after I download it haha. Also, do you recommend updating the latest BIOS and EC Firmware? I don't overclock or benchmark, pretty much just standard use, gaming, and VR etc... If that matters. I've updated in the past without problems to fix a GSync issue I had, but I haven't experienced any issues since. Just want to know if its worth it to keep with these updates. Big thanks, always appreciate the help and advice.

Ultra is no longer an MSI owner I don't think, so heres my thoughts.
Dragon Center is a PITA. For auto fan control use MSI Silent Option - http://download.msi.com/uti_exe/SilentOption_v1.0.1603.3101.zip its not that difficult to use, 3 settings, Auto, basic and advanced.... which are fairly self explanatory, advanced is where you can set your own profile.

Yes keep your bios and EC firmware up to date, they fix a lot of stuff, including some of the CPU vulnerabilities.

Nope, 2.5x Dragon Center is 8th Gen + only machines. Like me you have a 7th Gen machine. Sorry!
Not without hacking the driver/install around and it isn't really worth it as there are better ways of dealing with the things Dragon Center does.

It's not a driver mod that is required a simple reg edit to change your CPU to say it's 8th gen is required lol did it in my 6th gen laptop once and it worked however it was still the same PITA as dragon center/gaming centre or what ever they call this bloatware has been since its birth.

Thanks for the info. Quick question - What order should I update bios and EC firmware? Should I update BIOS before a clean install or after if I have the option? Same with EC, does Windows need to be installed or can I do these both prior? Lastly, I'm assuming bios first then EC - is this correct or does it even matter?

It doesn't matter when you do it but to satisfy my OCD I like updating BIOS and EC before formatting. First BIOS then EC Firmware.

Don't forget to unblock any file you download before you run it or extract it. See: "Are you sure you want to run this file?" [Yes or No]

Perfect, thanks! Helping my buddy with a clean install today. So I can just update the BIOS and EC now with current OS, etc... then perform the clean install/reformat after right? Or should I do it while everything is wiped just before I install OS?

Hey @Ultra Male What's the best way to install Killer 1550/Intel 9260 WLAN Driver 21.0.0.5 /Bluetooth Driver 21.0.0.4? I would like to install this and avoid the automatic download of the Killer Performance Suite and all the ******** that comes with it... I have the Killer Uninstall package, INF package, Intel driver etc. that I've seen you post in other threads, but I'm unsure of the process to install this appropriately. I believe I saw something about a manual INF installation via device manager, but still unclear of exactly what I need to do. Some clarification would be greatly appreciated!

*edit Or would I be better off just replacing my network adapter card? If so, what model? I have 400 Gb internet and Netgear Orbi mesh Wifi sytem (Orbi AC3000 Router and AC3000 Satellites)

I recommend using the Killer Uninstaller to scan for drivers pertaining to killer, then choose to clean them all then reboot. Then launch the tool and choose the option which says Disable Killer From Windows update (you'll get a message saying Blocking Driver installed). That will prevent Killer Software from being installed automatically through Windows update.

Make sure when installing the LAN/WLAN Driver to uncheck the Killer Software which is the last option by clicking on it and choosing the X sign.

The biggest issue with these Killer cards is not the cards itself, they are good, it's just the Killer Software which cripples your connection and severely throttles your bandwidth thinking it wants to play God and choose which apps need more internet than others. Sounds great on paper, works like crap.

Yes you can. Its best to update Thunderbolt drivers to latest ones possible. Don't install 8th gen TB3 firmware on 7th gen because chips and PD FW might differ and will make TB3 useless.

    Hi AU4U,

We just released new drivers last week which included numerous updates for the Killer Wireless cards (1435, 1535, 1550, and AX1650). We have had good responses from multiple people having issues (in particular with the AX1650). Please try the latest ones on our support site. If you still have issues, can you detail them or reach out to our support team directly so we can help to root cause/fix them?

    Thanks,
    Thomas

I just did this and got rid of DC for good, I'm not going to miss anything from it. And Silent Option, after using Cooler Boost it doesn't revert to Auto like DC does, so there is an improvement right away. IDK why MSI couldn't make the fan control work properly in DC, stupid or retarded coding by an outsource?
The next 3 that need attention are:
    • Killer - Soon to be replaced with Intel.
    • Steelseries - Once I get it working it will never be updated again.
    • Nahimic - I needs a full featured replacement that works.
I'm sick and tired of being a Beta tester, cant they send out updates that work ... W10 does!

I updated to the latest SS Engine and it completely hosed my system. It would only recognize 1 device, Keyboard OR Mouse, never both.

Installed software with only keyboard, works fine. Plug in Mouse, NEVER sees it (although it works). Uninstalled software, plugged in mouse, reinstalled, Keyboard not recognized and backilght doesn't work but mouse is now recognized and seen by SS Engine.

I had to wipe the whole dang system to get it all to work again.

    Follow @Killer_Networking advice.
Grab their Killer Uninstaller from Majorgeeks or their main site and install their full package with UWD drivers and app OR grab INF only packs.
If your router or AP supports dual band its best to use 5GHz instead of 2.4GHz AP.

    Hi AU4U,

Like Thomas explained we released a new driver from Intel (21.40.2.2) for the Killer AX1650 (AX200) and the Killer AC1550 (9260/9560) both made with Intel Base Modules. So if Intel drivers are having issues, seeing as our card was made with Intel it will in turn have issues as well. This is a major update that has helped a lot of users with their hardware. We also Updated the Qualcomm 1435 and 1535 Modules Drivers as well (12.0.0.918) Again we apologize for any issues you have had with your device. We are always happy to help, if you are still having issues you can reach out to us directly here - https://support.killernetworking.com/submit-a-ticket/

Thank you again for your time,

    Nicholas with Killer Networking

My Realtek Audio device just stopped working for no reason.
I tried to uninstall, didn't help. Uninstalled all audio devices and re installed realtek - nothing helps.
I have only High Definition Audio Controller in System Devices with Error: This device cannot start. (Code 10).

    What to do? Please, help.

did you try using Display Driver Uninstaller in Safe Mode to get rid of the previous Realtek Audio Driver, that will completely wipe off the older driver but make sure you're not connected to the internet otherwise Windows will try to install the driver that it wants automatically.

Also, I just updated the Realtek Audio driver, try this one:

    Realtek Audio Driver 6.0.8773.1

I tried to uninstall and install in safe mode - didn't help. Didn't try DDU though.

Not sure what the problem "was", but I shut down, unscrewed, opened laptop, looked at it, closed, turned on, reset BIOS settings to default and Realtek appeared again.
No idea what was that. Only settings I have changed in BIOS is loadline = 1.

There seems quite a few people whom are having Realtek audio issues as of late. It's more then likely down to Windows 10 Auto driver update. No going to plug in about my modded drivers though. Best bet is to download the drivers from the MSI site disconnect from the internet and then run a DDU clean for sound in safe mode. Reboot and install the drivers whilst still disconnected from the internet if it works after that then WSUS Driver updates is the issue, something I set to block on my driver's.

I have a 9th gen gt75 9SG but I am not very sure about the chipset. Intel page doesnt say anything.

look here ,, setting up ram is really easy if you turn on OC tab

    https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=324552.msg1845000#msg1845000

for some ram need SA offset it is worse if you use high oc ,,get shudown or thermal problem cycle boot .,use low offset i now run sa + 0.025 for 2800 mem cl18.20.20 for hot day

Always check Intel NUC spec sheets for RAM Compatibility and speed/freq. Usually they're very detailed and precise. 3200MHz+ is possible with 16GB and with 32GB or more you are better off with 2667MHz RAM with XMP2.x support that way RAM sticks maintain compatibility and give stable performance w/o causing issues.

    Hey guys

Have anyone had issues with the latest Nvidia drivers?

I've installed the latest one and now I get a black screen, the laptop does seem to be on but the screen won't switch on.

    Anything I can do?
