I was able to install all of these drivers except of the Intel HD graphics. When ever I tried to install it, it would say the my PC does not meet the minimum requirements. So I just skipped it.
Any idea how I can fix this? -
Spartan@HIDevolution Company Representative
you need to install SCM, or if you have it installed, press the button right under the power button to switch to the Intel HD Graphics, after the reboot, install the Intel HD Graphics Driver, then press that button again to switch back to the nVIDIA Driver -

I did find that info while researching why I couldn't install the driver. I just didn't know that you needed the SCM installed first before you could turn of the discrete card. I was confused why I could turn it off. I have now installed all the drivers.
I did notice though that the WLAN and BT drivers had the Intel and killer drivers. Do install just either one? I just tried to install the intel one and it just said that it was already installed. -

Install according to what WLAN card you have on your system -

Thank you so much bro! But what secondary drive did you remove at 0:54 of the video? Unlike you, who has 2x 960 PROs in RAID and an additional of 2 850 EVOs with 1 TB and 4TB in them, I only have a 960 EVO SSD and 1TB HDD. Do I need to remove the 1TB HDD in my setup? -
-
Spartan@HIDevolution Company Representative
Yes what I meant is I removed both drives. BUT you don't need to do that IF you partition your first drive into C: and D:, that way, the boot files won't be copied on your 2nd drive (the HDD)

NICE!
I don't know how to partition my SSD into C: and D: LOL, but I found some instructions in Youtube so that'll do. Also, you mentioned in the linked thread that I'll need to make a C: drive partition with 200GB for my OS and the remaining space for a D: drive partition. But if Windows always install the OS in the 2nd drive or 2nd partition it'll see, won't it install the OS into the remaining space of the D: drive partition rather than the 200GB C: drive partition we made specifically made for the OS?

Hey bro, will Clean Installation of Windows 10 also delete the BIOS, VBIOS and EC Firmware of the laptop? Will you need to install all of them again? Thanks bro! Done reading everything in your post and have already downloaded the necessary drivers before doing it.

@Phoenix Bro, I have two three choices using the MediaCreationTool for Microsoft in the link you've given here http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/nbr-windows-10-clean-installation-guide.781178/ to download the Windows 10 into a USB or as an ISO. Windows 10, Windows 10 Home Single Language and Windows 10 N. I have a Windows 10 Home so I don't know which of the Windows 10 and Windows 10 Home Single Language I should pick. Also if I check the "Use the recommended options for this PC", I've got the Windows 10 as a default. Is that what I should pick?
I've also downloaded from this site https://www.heidoc.net/joomla/techn...icrosoft-windows-and-office-iso-download-tool as recommended by @Mr. Fox in his Youtube video (I've also downloaded the links he's given for the MSMG Toolkit v7.1) but the toolkit doesn't seem to locate it. I've done everything all of his instructions too. I've skipped the ESD part because I've already downloaded the ISO file instead of the ESD.
After that I run ToolKit7.1 as an Admin and PRESSED A for Accept then PRESSED the ENTER key and then PRESSED 1 FOR the option "Source" and finally showed this option
As instructed in the Youtube video I PRESSED 1 for "Select Source from <DVD> Folder here. But this showed up saying it didn't find the file.
What's the problem here and where did I went wrong? Thank you so much bro!Mr. Fox likes this. -
See if moving the entire folder from D:\ to C:\ helps. Sometimes it makes a difference. @Phoenix had to put his on C:\ for it to work. I had mine on E:\ and I got the same error you are seeing. It works for me on C:\ or D:\ drive.Papusan and HardCoreGamer4Life like this.

Try starting over. Delete the folder. Extract everything fresh from the ToolKit archive to C:\ToolKit and from ISO to the DVD folder. Disable UAC before launching the ToolKit as admin. If that doesn't work I don't know why it's not working on your system unless the ISO itself has something wrong with it. Maybe download a fresh one before starting.HardCoreGamer4Life, Papusan and Spartan@HIDevolution like this.

NICE! Disabling the UAC actually made it work! Thanks man!
Bro, can the Chipset and Intel HD Graphics 630 Drivers for 7RF be installed in 6RF?Last edited: May 7, 2017 -
You're welcome, bro. I always disable UAC as the first step in Windows Setup for as far back as I can remember. What was it... Vista? UAC sucks.Papusan and HardCoreGamer4Life like this.

In your video, after making the ISO, what should I do next? Should I just extract the ISO to a USB drive?Mr. Fox likes this. -
After you have modded the ISO to your satisfaction, use Rufus to burn the ISO to USB and make it bootable. @Phoenix has instructions and screen shots for that in a few places here in the forum.

Thanks bro! Just Downloaded Rufus and already started to Burn it to my USB. Can't wait to clean install Win 10!
Another question, I already have a C: (960 Evo 500GB SSD) and D: (1 TB HDD) drives in my system. Since bro
@Phoenix said in his Win 10 installation guide to have 2 partitions on my main SSD drive, I'd like to make a 200GB OS C: drive and the remaining for my DATA D: drive. However, since I already have a D: drive in my HDD can I change it to G: so that I can name the 2nd partition on my SSD to D:? How can I do this without it making my games and files on my current D: drive unplayable and inaccessible? And if this can't be done, should I just name the 2nd Partition I'm going to make into G:? Thanks again!

You can easily change drive letters any way you want them. Just use the Windows Disk Management Utility. Right-click on any partition and choose the option to change drive letter.

It gave these 2 warnings.
After clicking "Yes" here, this other one popped up.
I don't know whether I should click "Yes" here because it might make the games I installed on my D: drive unplayable, and the other files inaccessible. Is clicking "Yes" here okay? -

If they are all Steam games everything will be fine. Steam will take care of it for you. If some are Origin or Uplay, you may have to tell those game clients where the games moved to because they're not nearly as smart as Steam client.HardCoreGamer4Life likes this.

@Phoenix Bro, after the clean installation and tweaking it like what you've instructed in the video, during the installation of all the MSI Drivers, can I install everything normally like the Intel HD Graphics 630 Driver in DGPU mode or should I go into IGPU? Also, can all the drivers listed in your MSI GT73VR 7RF TITAN PRO Drivers page (not including the RAID driver) be used on my 6RF? Thank you so much man!
-
much will be the same, but check the MSI support page to double check as some may be different.HardCoreGamer4Life likes this.

Almost everything is different. I've always downloaded Drivers from @Phoenix 7RF Drivers page and it's always compatible with 6RF but I haven't done it with the Intel Chipset and Intel HD Graphics 630 Driver. So I'm not really sure if those drivers (found in the page) are still compatible with my 6RF.hmscott likes this. -

Picking new drivers, apps, etc from new support areas for new models of the same line is a long standing tradition.
Vendors usually put out the newest driver's with newer models, and then backfill older support sections for previous models later, if at all.
The BIOS / Firmware for the motherboard are linked to the frame, so if they are the same frame they will work, otherwise you'll get a warning upon trying to flash them - MSI has a good record of *not* over flashing the wrong firmware

Just looking at the comparison.
Not much is actually different. Yes different versions, however you can quickly identify by version number what is new and what is totally different.HardCoreGamer4Life, Papusan, Spartan@HIDevolution and 1 other person like this. -
