the 8885 uad driver pack may need a do-over
a newer 8885 UAD MSI Nahimic WHQL driver has just been posted here (this one has just been officially WHQL'ed by MS a while ago)
you may also want to modify the HDXMSI.inf & HDX_MsiExt_AVO_RTK.inf files in your driver pack to add the following hardware device ID:
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0245
this new HWID was actually added onto the 8874.1 HDA driver as commented here
I was almost recently aware of this new change -
Ok will add the new ID to the driver and redo the installer, then update the Original post.

Install instructions:
- Disconnect from the internet (Blame Microsoft as they are still able to install drivers from Windows Update even when blocked with .reg file).
- Reboot System and Enter BIOS/UEFI.
- Please DISABLE SECUREBOOT in your BIOS this is now important for this new installer!
- Once you have booted back into the OS Temporarily disable AV software.
- Now run the Realtek_UAD_6.0.1.8890.1_MSI_Nahimic_UWP_mod.exe Installer
- Select Full Install, Install Without Nahimic, Repair/Driver Update or Fix Nahimic 3. However mostly Full install button should be used.
- Sit back and relax as the UWP's get uninstalled, the driver gets uninstalled and then your system is rebooted into test signing mode and everything is installed and your system is rebooted again!
- Now head back into your BIOS/UEFI and Re-enable SecureBoot!!
- Now let the system boot up fully and re-enable the internet connection.

Known possible bugs and fixes:
Issue: Jack Detection not working.
Solution: Simply go to Realtek Audio Console Disable and Re-enable it.
Issue: Microphone not working after using Nahimic Optimizer.
Solution: Click Reset inside Nahimic Settings section will fix this.
Issue: Microsoft Overwritten the installed modded driver.
Solution: Head to Settings → System → About, Now click System info then Select Advance System Settings → Hardware Tab → Driver Installation Settings, now select NO! save and reboot
the system. Then head to c:\Audio\8890.1\ and run the launch.exe file to start the reinstall.
Issue: Nahimic 3 reports its device is not compatible basically not working.
Solution: Head to c:\Audio\8890.1\ folder and launch the launch.exe file. When the installer has loaded select Repair Nahimic, this will then uninstall the Nahimic 3 APO drivers and UWP then reinstall them after a reboot,
this should fix the issue.
Issue: Sound has become muffled/suppressed/distorted.
Solution: Please run DDU, select the Audio and Realtek WIP. Use Clean and Restart then reinstall.

Install instructions:
- Disconnect from the internet (Blame Microsoft as they are still able to install drivers from Windows Update even when blocked with .reg file).
- Reboot System and Enter BIOS/UEFI.
- Please DISABLE SECUREBOOT in your BIOS this is now important for this new installer!
- Once you have booted back into the OS Temporarily disable AV software.
- Now run the Realtek_UAD_6.0.1.8899.1_MSI_Nahimic_UWP_mod.exe Installer
- Select Full Install, Install Without Nahimic, Repair/Driver Update or Fix Nahimic 3. However mostly Full install button should be used.
- Sit back and relax as the UWP's get uninstalled, the driver gets uninstalled and then your system is rebooted into test signing mode and everything is installed and your system is rebooted again!
- Now head back into your BIOS/UEFI and Re-enable SecureBoot!!
- Now let the system boot up fully and re-enable the internet connection.

Known possible bugs and fixes:
Issue: Jack Detection not working.
Solution: Simply go to Realtek Audio Console Disable and Re-enable it.
Issue: Microphone not working after using Nahimic Optimizer.
Solution: Click Reset inside Nahimic Settings section will fix this.
Issue: Microsoft Overwritten the installed modded driver.
Solution: Head to Settings → System → About, Now click System info then Select Advance System Settings → Hardware Tab → Driver Installation Settings, now select NO! save and reboot
the system. Then head to c:\Audio\8899.1\ and run the launch.exe file to start the reinstall.
Issue: Nahimic 3 reports its device is not compatible basically not working.
Solution: Head to c:\Audio\8899.1\ folder and launch the launch.exe file. When the installer has loaded select Repair Nahimic, this will then uninstall the Nahimic 3 APO drivers and UWP then reinstall them after a reboot,
this should fix the issue.
Issue: Sound has become muffled/suppressed/distorted.
Solution: Please run DDU, select the Audio and Realtek WIP. Use Clean and Restart then reinstall.

However yes you could possibly make it work on gigabyte however your going to need gigabyte files for both audio and Nahimic in order to do so.
Please do not go running MSI drivers on a Gigabyte board.
Also the pre-made modded drivers are designed for MSI system not Gigabyte so if you use modded drivers from here in this thread on another OEM system there is no support.

the only Gigabyte systems that have official support for Nahimic3 are posted on this Nahimic Support forum page and the Z390 AORUS PRO WIFI board by Andrewz does not really support it - only certain Gigabyte AERO & AORUS laptops ( not desktop motherboards) have official Nahimic3 support.
I wouldn't use hacktrix2006's MSI/Nahimic modded drivers on a Gigabyte system - I make my own mod privately using a modded HDX_GigabyteExt_AVO_RTK.inf file instead of a modded HDX_MsiExt_AVO_RTK.inf file and the contents of the NH3ProductSettings.cab file for an official Realtek UAD Gigabyte + Nahimic3 driver like 8781 are different than from MSI.
Note - I'm not yet making my own Realtek UAD Gigabyte Nahimic mods public yet since they're still in alpha stages.
Edit 4/1 - as an alternative, Andrewz should use this guy's Realtek UAD Nahimic mod instead, which supports many systems than just MSI.

Install instructions:
- Disconnect from the internet (Blame Microsoft as they are still able to install drivers from Windows Update even when blocked with .reg file).
- Reboot System and Enter BIOS/UEFI.
- Please DISABLE SECUREBOOT in your BIOS this is now important for this new installer!
- Once you have booted back into the OS Temporarily disable AV software.
- Now run the Realtek_UAD_6.0.1.8907.1_MSI_Nahimic_UWP_mod.exe.exe Installer
- Select Full Install, Install Without Nahimic, Repair/Driver Update or Fix Nahimic 3. However mostly Full install button should be used.
- Sit back and relax as the UWP's get uninstalled, the driver gets uninstalled and then your system is rebooted into test signing mode and everything is installed and your system is rebooted again!
- Now head back into your BIOS/UEFI and Re-enable SecureBoot!!
- Now let the system boot up fully and re-enable the internet connection.

Known possible bugs and fixes:
Issue: Jack Detection not working.
Solution: Simply go to Realtek Audio Console Disable and Re-enable it.
Issue: Microphone not working after using Nahimic Optimizer.
Solution: Click Reset inside Nahimic Settings section will fix this.
Issue: Microsoft Overwritten the installed modded driver.
Solution: Head to Settings → System → About, Now click System info then Select Advance System Settings → Hardware Tab → Driver Installation Settings, now select NO! save and reboot
the system. Then head to c:\Audio\8907.1\ and run the launch.exe file to start the reinstall.
Issue: Nahimic 3 reports its device is not compatible basically not working.
Solution: Head to c:\Audio\8907.1\ folder and launch the launch.exe file. When the installer has loaded select Repair Nahimic, this will then uninstall the Nahimic 3 APO drivers and UWP then reinstall them after a reboot,
this should fix the issue.
Issue: Sound has become muffled/suppressed/distorted.
Solution: Please run DDU, select the Audio and Realtek WIP. Use Clean and Restart then reinstall.

Install instructions:
- Disconnect from the internet (Blame Microsoft as they are still able to install drivers from Windows Update even when blocked with .reg file).
- Reboot System and Enter BIOS/UEFI.
- Please DISABLE SECUREBOOT in your BIOS this is now important for this new installer!
- Once you have booted back into the OS Temporarily disable AV software.
- Now run the Realtek_UAD_6.0.1.8923.1_MSI_Nahimic_UWP_mod.exe.exe Installer
- Select Full Install, Install Without Nahimic, Repair/Driver Update or Fix Nahimic 3. However mostly Full install button should be used.
- Sit back and relax as the UWP's get uninstalled, the driver gets uninstalled and then your system is rebooted into test signing mode and everything is installed and your system is rebooted again!
- Now head back into your BIOS/UEFI and Re-enable SecureBoot!!
- Now let the system boot up fully and re-enable the internet connection.

Known possible bugs and fixes:
Issue: Jack Detection not working.
Solution: Simply go to Realtek Audio Console Disable and Re-enable it.
Issue: Microphone not working after using Nahimic Optimizer.
Solution: Click Reset inside Nahimic Settings section will fix this.
Issue: Microsoft Overwritten the installed modded driver.
Solution: Head to Settings → System → About, Now click System info then Select Advance System Settings → Hardware Tab → Driver Installation Settings, now select NO! save and reboot
the system. Then head to c:\Audio\8923.1\ and run the launch.exe file to start the reinstall.
Issue: Nahimic 3 reports its device is not compatible basically not working.
Solution: Head to c:\Audio\8923.1\ folder and launch the launch.exe file. When the installer has loaded select Repair Nahimic, this will then uninstall the Nahimic 3 APO drivers and UWP then reinstall them after a reboot,
this should fix the issue.
Issue: Sound has become muffled/suppressed/distorted.
Solution: Please run DDU, select the Audio and Realtek WIP. Use Clean and Restart then reinstall.
Issue: Install states Realtek Audio Console is 1.9.216.0 however its 1.10.216.0
Solution: Will be corrected when new driver is released next, as its a cosmetic typo doesn't need an urgent patch.

nope. no change with the Nahimic SWC 1.7.2 driver files. just with the updated avolutenh3ext.cat, AVoluteNH3Ext.inf & NH3ProductSettings.cab files

If someone could be so kind and make a new Laptop supported List for me, i would be grateful.
I am after making it simpler and smaller if possible, thinking along the lines of just the first part of the model number for example GT72 then a generation listing for example 5th Gen 6th Gen etc.

I do believe it, it's always the same I release a new driver pack and updates then get released all the time.
You will get the new UWP when it's on the Windows store and a new driver pack is released. Don't panic
Edit: There is no change in UI though. Also it's the pre-installation kit version

Install instructions:
- Disconnect from the internet.
- Reboot System and Enter BIOS/UEFI.
- Please DISABLE SECUREBOOT in your BIOS this is now important for this new installer!
- Once you have booted back into the OS Temporarily disable AV software (Some Anti-Virus tools might false report and delete the file!).
- Now run the Realtek_UAD_6.0.1.8929.1_MSI_Nahimic_UWP_mod.exe Installer
- Select either Full Install, Install Without Nahimic, Repair/Driver Update or Fix Nahimic 3. However its recommended to select Full install.
- Sit back and relax as the UWP's get uninstalled, the driver gets uninstalled and then your system is rebooted into test signing mode and everything is installed and your system is rebooted again!
- Now head back into your BIOS/UEFI and Re-enable SecureBoot!!
- Now let the system boot up fully and re-enable the internet connection.

Known possible bugs and fixes:
Issue: I am not seeing the Nahimic Realtek Audio Mirror option on output.
Solution: Due to this part of the driver being disabled by default, please enable it by going into Settings → System → Sound → Sound Control Panel,
from there find Speakers Nahimic mirroring device and right click on it, then select enabled.
Issue: Jack Detection not working.
Solution: Simply go to Realtek Audio Console Disable and Re-enable it.
Issue: Microphone not working after using Nahimic Optimizer.
Solution: Click Reset inside Nahimic Settings section will fix this.
Issue: Microsoft Overwritten the installed modded driver.
Solution: Head to Settings → System → About, Now click System info then Select Advance System Settings → Hardware Tab → Driver Installation Settings, now select NO! save and reboot
the system. Then head to c:\Audio\8929.1\ and run the launch.exe file to start the reinstall.
Issue: Nahimic 3 reports its device is not compatible basically not working.
Solution: Head to c:\Audio\8929.1\ folder and launch the launch.exe file. When the installer has loaded select Repair Nahimic, this will then uninstall the Nahimic 3 APO drivers and UWP then reinstall them after a reboot,
this should fix the issue.
Issue: Sound has become muffled/suppressed/distorted.
Solution: Please run DDU, select the Audio and Realtek WIP. Use Clean and Restart then reinstall.

I had some problems with your latest driver (8929.1), that i never did before...
I updated from 8924.1 on a MSI GS73VR-7RF. Like i always do, used "Full Install" after disabling SecureBoot, all antivirus and disconnecting from internet.
First try, i had a BSOD after the installer auto rebooted, that i had to completely shutdown my laptop. After turning on the laptop, the installation resumed normally.
After installation the Nahimic app was not automatically installed (had to go to C:\Audio\UWP and install the package manually. The Realtek Console App installed automatically though).
Then after everything was installed and configured, and rebooted, i had a warning for an unkown device in my devices management (never had this happening before). I updated those drivers (directed to C:\Audio). Device was updated, laptop rebooted again, but then i had no sound whatsoever...
I was able to track down the culprit though, a new device was installed "Nahimic Mirroring Device", which was selected as primary device. After disabling it, everything seems to be working normally...
These things never happened before with any of other drivers...Last edited: May 6, 2020 -

After doing a bit of research, i still don't know what that Nahimic mirroring device is or what is for, except causing problems it seems (the web is full of those reports)...

Nahimic 3 Mirroring driver is for streamers to be able to mix outputs. It's a virtual output device.

WARNING: Nahimic 3 UWP has been updated from 1.4.2.0 to 1.4.4.0, This new version seems to completely break Nahimic 3 being used with the Driver Mod.
The only way to fix this is to Uninstall the new Nahimic 3 UWP then go into Windows Store and turn off Automatic updates before heading to C:\Audio\8929.1\uwp to then reinstall Nahimic 3 via the A-Volute.Nahimic_1.4.2.0_neutral___w2gh52qy24etm.AppxBundle file, then restarting the Machine.Last edited: May 7, 2020Kevin@GenTechPC likes this. -
